[Q] Stuck on 4GLTE Screen but need to recover files - HTC Rezound

I know there are a lot of posts out there about how to reflash the roms but none of them I have seen discuss whether I can access any files from the internal memory of the phone.
So, is there anyway I can access the files on the phone before wiping it and starting over or a way to start over w/o losing the files?
Thx!!

With TWRP file manager in recovery or mounting USB storage.

Need help recovering photos from bad vibrant

I'm trying to get files (my photos mostly) off the internal storage of my Vibrant. I don't care about getting the Vibrant working again, just getting my files off it. I can get into recovery mode, but mounting usb storage *does not work*, even tried unplugging and replugging the phone but no dice. I can install zips from the sd card (though it takes 5x longer than normal) but any ROM I install, stock, cyanogen, slim, etc. won't actually finish booting.
Because USB mounting doesn't work, I'd like to use CWM to copy all the files on the internal storage to the sd card. Then I can put the sd in another computer and get the files off. In CWM I can do a backup to sd, but that doesn't backup photos, just the rom. Is there a way to generally copy files from internal to the sd using CWM?
Also, the entire time I'm in recovery mode my PC makes the sound for a usb device being connected and then disconnected, assume that has something to do with the Vibrant being generally busted.
In summary:
Trying to recover files from vibrant phone storage
Can't boot any regular ROM
Can get into CWM recovery
USB mount in CWM recovery *does not work*
Can install zip from sd card
Can backup to sd card
Have a spare working vibrant for charging battery
Any ideas?
Okay I'll see if I can help any. First of all, can you successfully use Odin to return to stock firmware? Have you even attempted using Odin?
Can try using recuva or there is another one too but the XDA search is missing right now. Moped_Ryder usually recommends that one that I can't remember right now, but once the search button is back, I'll let you know what it is. Works like a charm. Droid recover or Droid Files, ahh I can't think of it but there is a solution on here somewhere.
Try a program called Android Commander.
Ive transferred files in CWM with it all the time.
Agreed with android commander. It has always worked for me. There are other solutions too with these new kernels these days. You can download Devil kernel or subzero via PC(They both include new file manager in recovery).Put it on your external card, flash, reboot back into recovery. Mount your internal and external cards from mounts and storage menu. Go to file manager and copy/paste away.

[Q] Phone doesn't recognise internal memory ?

I tried to install revolt jb rom , did the wipes but it didn't install properly
The screen buttons wouldn't work, so I went into recovery and totried install my back up off my internal memory but it wouldn't find it ? Lucky I had wanam rom on the Sd card I istalled that.,
when I've checked it looks like all my files are there on the internal memory but it won't recognize then, this is the same in recovery. Any ideas how to access my internal memory again?
I've tried searching but am away from my computer so it's not easy.
Very difficult to understand your post .
kemeys ???
You say
Off my internal memory but it wouldn't find it ?>>>>
You say
did the wipes
Logic says you wiped the backup or part of it .
Root with the exact same recovery you used .
jje
All the file are still on my phone , it just won't find them, I managed to locate then with root browser lite , but recovery can't find them.
Typing this on my phone, so you'll have to excuse the typos.

update
I've just plugged my phone into the computer, it looks like all my files are still on the internal memory card, but they've been put into a folder lablled 0, just got to figure out how to access that folder on the phone or better still on the recovery. No problem find it on the phone now, just can't access it from recovery.
If i can get into the folder in recovery I should be able to restore my back up, I tried to copy and paste the back up into the clockworkmod backup folder, it copied, but failed the MD5 test when trying to restore.
Update: copied the cwm back up to the external sd card and it worked, so I'm back where I started from, just got to sort out my files and delete any duplicates.

[Q] Revover files after htcdev unlock

I unlocked my hox+ without realising it deletes you storage does anyone know if i can recover my files, i have the software but the storage does not show as a psychical drive
You can't restore your data. As far as i know your /data partition including the /media folder, which is what you see as internal memory when connected to your computer, get's wiped when unlocking bootloader.

The storage will show as generic hierarchical file system. Henceforth it is impossible to retrieve any lost data/settings. It is a must to do a backup before attempting to dev unlock the phone. I believe that when you dev unlocked the stock recovery should have warned you that it will result in a loss of all data.
Thanks I backed up most of it anyway just lost a few videos

[Q] File recovery, without root and usb.

Hi,
I helped my friend to get his photos from his Galaxy s3 with android 4.3 by transferring them to SD-card, but somehow the SD-card was broken so all the files were corrupted and we used Transfer not copy..... I did not manage to recover the photos from the SD-card, but i found some file recovery softwares for android but they all required root-access.
So any ideas how to recover those photos from internal memory without usb.
I did not manage to root with Framaroot.
Phones usb-port was changed to new one but still any computer wont recognize the phone...
I can promise some sort of reward for the person who manages to find a solution.

Use a file explorer to copy and paste to SD card. You will not need root unless he stored photos on root.

Yes, if those photos would show up at the file manager. but we used Transfer, so its like cut-paste. So the files disappeared and i have to find a solution to recover them. It is possibly and pretty easy if i could root.
No, because the internal memory/internal SD is only one partition of the memory chip. This means no recovery software or apps are going to help you.
Only chance is with the external card you transferred to.

I have similar problem, except i didn't cut/paste photos. Phone just did hard reset by itself, so everything is gone... I have managed to root the phone, can you tell me which solution have you found for rooted devices? I have tried with Wondershare Dr. Fone but with no luck (it even does not require root).

Theres a bunch of android software for file recovery. Diskdigger undelete (root) looks promising, but i cant test it without root. There is many software for windows too, if you can use USB, but i cant do that...Asoftech data recovery could be the solution if i could just use the usb. Yesterday i tried many different methods to get the usb working but still windows wont recognize it.
Should i just wait for Framaroot that can root android 4.3 or is that ever going to happen?
Yes, give hope of data recovery off of internal memory.
Jelly seems to think it reasonable.

Depending what version of Windows you're running fully look into drivers and uninstall/install of them (Win XP has least problems) as WIN7 onwards have had/needed workaround/install others to work.
Double check that you cannot transfer the data back to phone, they could just be compressed and transfer back with same method?
Check for which is the USERDATA partition, with a desperate SDCard using adb and a shell command, dd the partition to SDCard and recover from there.
Is the RECOVERY stock, CWM or TWRP?
Make a backup if possible and recover from there.
Hope this gives you some more options to look for

RECOVERY is stock too. Im sure that theres no hope recovering the photos from the SD-card, but maybe ill manage to get them from internal memory with some sort of software like DiskDigger, like the previous poster suggested. But i still need root to do anything, so if windows XP wont work ill just have to wait for Framaroot to update, because i tryed atleast 2 work arounds for windows 7 but the usb still wont recognize.
But thanks for your help.

Is it possible to flash data to internal memory using ODIN?

Hi everyone,
I just switched firmware versions and had to do a full wipe.
Now I want to copy all my data back to the internal memory but of course in the current Android versions this means that all files now have the dates of when I copied them.
This is no problem for most files, but it is a problem for pictures. They are sorted by date and therefor completely out of order.
I was thinking, since only root users are allowed to change the time stamps/dates, would it be possible to pack the images into a tar file and then copy them to the phone using ODIN? This would basically be a root operation, right?
If so, does anybody know how to make this work?
P.S.: My phone is obviously unrooted and needs to remain unrooted for now. So I am looking for an alternative
What do you want to do?
Move Photos From PC to Phone Using Odin.

Move photos from PC to phone WITHOUT losing file dates. So keeping the original date of creation.
Try Using a Sharing Tool To move A Few Photos.
Because odin Can't do that.
Odin is only made to flash Firmware.
I've never seen or have Ever Heard about odin Copying, moving or deleting Files from Internal storage.
Your only option is to either Move The Folders Via a PC to Mobile Moving app Or by Moving files to a SDcard of a Rooted Phone and editing and Then inserting to required Device.

Well, syncing tools and ftp etc. all access the running Android system and therefor all need root permission to write time stamps.
Odin, to my knowledge, can flash data to any partition on the device. Since you can repartition the internal storage with it, I figured it might be possible to write data to the internal storage partition.
Basically Odin takes data (apps, etc.) and copies them to the respective internal psrtitions such as system, data, recovery etc.
So if you knew what the internal memory is called and knew how to let Odin know that the content of your tar file is to be copied to that internal memory, then Odin should be able to bypass any system limitations and basically act like a root user.
