N2 gel case will work for your N3 - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I was starting to get worried about my N3 falling out of my hands..It's still really slippery.
So I took off my N2 Gel case...cut the side holes a little bit...
It's not perfect, but at least I'm protected until I decide on my full time case.

You should try spigen bounce it is amazing and I am loving it on my phone

Im using the rubber case note 2 on my note 3..no need to cut the edge..only need to cut the hole for the camera, speaker and microfone..for temporary i think this will do

Metal battery cover?

Hey guys!
Im looking to get the Note on a concession line from my job (That or the S3, and I have a serious love for the note) and have been looking around for some fun accessories before I take the plunge. Im curious, is there an aluminum back cover for the I717 note, or is it specific to the international variant?
Also, any case recommendations would be great. Im leaning toward the Kraken because of the durability and belt clip...Im just a little concerned about the size. Ive had trident before and cred them whenever possible. They have fantastic products. Thanks!
You could get a glass screen protector and a tpu case if thickness gets you. I have an otter box right now and its easily 2x as thick

No good bat covers like that for ours... Try a sweet armor bumper its alum.i got it and its sweet

Our Note has an NFC antenna in the convert that would be shielded by metal. ICS enabled NFC.

I've got a Trident case for mine. They offer a lot of protection but not as bulky as otter box. Reasonable on the price as well.
so my question is will the battery cover fit? because i don't really care about the NFC function.

[Q] How do you carry your note 2?

LOVE this device, but the size makes it awkward to carry in your pocket. So how are you carrying the phone?

I carry it in my pocket with no problem. Im only about 6ft tall 180lbs wear the perfect size pants nothing too skinny or baggy.

My man bag.
Not really. My pocket. It feels like it might slide out when I sat down for the first day or so but it's far from actually doing it and i've already gotten used to it.

I guess ive just had bad luck with mine not staying in my pocket. Ive stooped down a couple times and had it fall out of my pocket. It also falls out when im in the car because of the angle of the seats.

I have a case on mine so it's not very slippery. Is yours in its birthday suit? That could be a big difference.

Mine doesn't have a case on it either and I have no problems with it fitting in my pants pocket or falling out.
Fits in my pockets..... uniforms and regular pants.
Slim and smooth case with no pocket issues. Although you xan definitely tell its there. Im 240lb and have sat on it a couple times now, no issues lol.

Military style pants with pockets on the thighs or in a inside jacket/suit pocket. DO NOT PUT IN YOUR BACK POCKET! I had some unexplained reboots whilst in myback pocket.
I use an origial Flip Case. The white one, which is not so white on the inside anymore. It likes dirt.
Quick review of the flip case. It grows on you. At first i thought it was slightly difficult to use, but now after a month the spine is very soft so i just fold it under the back of the phone. This gives added traction as well. The only problem I have really is no big deal and that is that you need to learn to hold it in a different way when you take pictures.
One last thing. If anyone knows or has contact with a case designer I would like one that combines a bumper case with a flip case.
In my purse!

I have a Active Seidio case and holster. I got the gloss white case and its kinda slippery. Not sure if the black one is rubberized as it was for the thunderbolt. The edges are rubber so it's not too bad. However if the black one is rubberized I would go for that one. As far as carrying it the holster is awesome! I'm 6' 150lbs. I do carry it in my pocket when I'm wearing sweats and it's not bad at all. .. I wouldn't know anything about carrying it in skinny jeans as I don't own any.

I'm almost 6" and it fits nicely in my pockets.
Sent from my rooted galaxy note 2... U mad?
I've got a slim case on mine and I carry it around in my pocket without any problems.
In my pocket. I don't notice it any more than I noticed my GNex in there. Carried it around last night and today in both jeans and dress pants for work, no problem. I'm not a tall/big guy and I don't wear really baggy pants either. The only way I could see this being uncomfortable is if all you wear are skinny jeans.

best case

anyone have the incipio feather case? looking at getting this and just seeing if anyone has any complaints on it?
I have the Incipio feather shine in black. Its by far my favorite case that Ive bought so far for this phone. The fit is great as are the look and feel. Its not as slippery as my Ringke Slim case was either. I would recommend it.

Ordering it now, thanks!
How badly does this case attract lint? I see a lot of dual layer cases and stay away from them for this reason; they all seem to use super soft silicon that is a lint magnet. I am pretty picky too, I hate taking it out of my pocket and having it lined with lint.

I have the samsung flip case and I'm loving it so far. Thin and as protective as I need.

I don't know about the feather, but I have the dual shine from incipio and it is horribly designed. I can't recommend it.
I have the body glove case from sprint. this is the best case by far, textured, matte back, so I'm not going to drop it. I had the flip case, but that was too much for me. I Also had a silicone case from Amazon, but that was too glossy and it was a fingerprint magnet.

Bought an otterbox defender yesterday

Went and bought one and not sure if I like it. Im super picky about cases on my phone, to be honest I really dont like em, or screen protectors. I love the look and feel of the bare screen. Thinking about taking off the front built in screen protector from the otterbox. Has anyone done this or have suggestions for me about em. Its the first one ive ever bought.

You can just push it out. Keep in mind the screen protector helps keep the plastic part rigid so it may feel wobbly afterwards. Many people do pop it out though, I learn to live with it.

Its so damn dusty inbetween the screen and protector and makes the screen look washed out bad....im a picky bastard I know

Na I hate it too. Actually took the case off tonight. Screen protector just kills it for me. If it stayed flush on the screen I would love the defender case
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
I have taken it off of all of my otterbox defenders on all my different phones, around 6 in the past 3 years, and I have never really had an issue. One thing I would reccomend is is you want to keep the glue that holds the screen protector on, just in case you ever want to put it back on, you should put it in the freezer. It makes it peel off without taking the glue with it. If you dont ever want it back on then pop it off and get some rubbing alcohol and a toothpick to get the glue that will still be stuck off.
On another note, if you end up not liking the defender you might wanna check out the Urban Armor Gear case for the Note 2. I just got mine a couple weeks ago and its really nice and has protected my phone quite well.

I have always loved Otterboxes until my S3's. The On/Off button was fine before putting on the Otterbox but after it was put on the power button would barely depress and when it did you had to press so hard that the screen would flex. When I tried to take it back and exchange it since it was defective, or so I thought, and found out that that is the way it was meant to fit. .... Needless to say I was very unhappy, when I contacted Otterbox to see if there was anything I could do about it they pretty much told me to f off....
I tried the defender for the Note 2 and the problem didn't seem to be there on the Note 2's casebut after all that it made me never want to deal with them again. I still miss my commuter and defender cases. Maybe when they go on sale I will get one...
Anyway, I am happy that you like it better with the built in screen protector gone
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium HD app
if you don't want the screen protector built in with the defender, why not return it and get the commuter?
I picked one up from newegg for around 30$ and love it.
I am loving the commuter, it comes with optional film, ive dropped my phone many times with no issues. The defender was just too bulky, and stuck to pockets with all the exposed rubber material. I also sport an x-gear voyager 2, had one on my s3, and my GN2 with no proximity issues or loss of screen/pen sensitivity.
P.S. voyager is available on ebay for cheaper direct from xgear. (Free shipping and home buttons)
Sent from my SCH-I605 using XDA Premium HD app
I did that with the one I had for the s3. It does feel a little floppy without it on the phone but as soon as you put it on it feels the same. The way I did mine was ro pit ot in the freezer for an hour and let the glue harden. Then it will literally just push right out.

Solution give your case more grip

Maybe it's just me... But I found most cases to be very slippery on the sides. One week now and no problems.... Solution 3m anti sIip tape transparent. You can see from the side shot almost impossible to see the tape. Give great grip and adds no bulk etc.... If I had the nerve I would use it on the bare phone. It sticks on all the classes I have and does not collect dust.

I have this case and it's beautiful, thin and not slippery. Quicksand Case - Note 3
I got mine for $3 shipped and it's got a bit of bend to it so that it's durable. I highly recommend as a backup or even daily driver if you're into thin cases.

I have used this method on my s3 aluminum bumpers and it worked awesome but i used black floor traction tape cut into thin pieces to go around the edges
I'm just wondering, will the 3M tape leave a sticky residue if it is taken off?
