Hi all,
Two days before i updated my phone to latest version of Jellybean 4.2.1 through service center. Now suddenly all my apps getting stopped suddenly and even phone dialer and contacts everything getting closed. Please help me to solve this issue.
My phone is not rooted and still under warranty. Using Stock ROM
Waiting for reply.
Hi. I had the same problem for a while. But then I went into recovery mode and selected wipe data/factory reset. And it worked fine. (Safe method and No loss of warranty). But my phone was still laggy. Crashing. Freezing and stuff. So I just got fed up and flashed a custom rom, and it was miles better. And I havnt had any issues at all( dangerous method and loss of warranty) I wouldn't advise you to do this unless you were completely fed up with your phone. Hope it helps.

Anyone facing the same issue?. Is there another way is there to solve this problem? I totally fed-up after this stock rom update from Micromax. I did factory reset 3 times in a day and still its not resolved. Please help me :crying::crying::crying::crying:
I think you are doing factory reset from settings option. Try to factory reset using recovery method, if problem is still not solved you can flash the original firmware again by yourselves. Search on xda and you can find firmware and flashing method as well.

hello all,
i was a happy user of my GS3(i9300) running cm 10.1 nightlies until one day i decided to tinker with the developer settings.i by mistake touched the external screen or some thing like that and i clicked 1080p.my phone went into a frozen state.i tried booting it,it well, booted but always froze and i ultimately had to do a factory reset to get my hpone back.this was nearly a month ago.i recently started using the cyandelta app to update my cm.i updated thrice or twice.my phone when put to charge, always froze.i couldnt do anything but restart.(pressing the power button didnt help either.).i ignored this for a while.today ,the phone randomly started freezing and i could only get it back to normal after a reboot.with great difficulty i managed to backup my apps via titanium backup.it never lasted for more than an hour without freezing.i decided to update cm manually.so downloaded it,wiped the phone etc.it got stuck in a bootloop. many restarts later, i got to the initial setup screen.it froze there too.again after many restarts,it finally was in a usable condition.i started restoring the apps(there too it froze).frustrated,i decided to revert to touchwiz of which i made a nandroid backup earlier,it too is feezing.it is freezing a lot more than cm.even after many reboots, the phone isnt normal.after just pulling down the status bar,the phone freezes, the power, volume buttons...none can revive it.only pressing the power for a long time and restarting it brings it back up,but again it ****ing freezes.i dont have any damn idea on what to do.please help.

Hi guys, any help would be appreciated!
My galaxy s3, on 4.1.2, has been periodically freezing, and then the only way to get it working again is to either take the battery out or hold down the standby button and restart it that way.
It started about 4 or 5 days ago, freezes whether on battery or charging. Sometimes it freezes multiple times in 15 minutes, sometimes it lasts 30-40 mins before freezing.
It was unrooted when the problem started, since rooted to see if that helped but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Root cannot help and it invalidates warranty .
First step is to backup data and factory reset .

Yes, factory reset and select another kernel that will accept more multitasking
Didn't you try to flash XXEMB1 firmware with Odin? If so let's try to do it, because I've heard that Samsung fixed freeze issues with this firmware.
And also I flashed XXEMB1 firmware and I have no more freezes, so my advice would by to flash this firmware to all people who have freeze issues.:good:

What do you mean by selecting another kernel?

Must be root / loss guarantees though? / Renew it, always a Nandroid backup EFS folder!!
After the flash root kernel, there are plenty on xda

I'm assuming you have a P7510 as I have no idea what a P7010 is. However, that's probably unimportant.
If your tablet is that unstable, I'd install stock along with wiping data and cache. Don't reinstall any applications. If that doesn't make it stable, it would seem to be a broken device.

Sammobile.com has every stock rom you need, what you have to do is to flash the factory recovery e3 again and factory reset with the factory recovery, then flash cwm or twrp and your ROM again. Do not install any apps until your sure that it's fixed, if so, install the apps one by one and if something messes up, you know who the culprit is

Not every tablet is the same i think i belong to the lucky one
hi,
i have a stock version of the galaxy s3 locked to vodafone.
it is running android 4.3
baseband i9300buunb1
kernal version 3.0.31-2429075 [email protected] #1 thu jan 23:47:54 kst 2014
build number JSS15J.I9300XXUGNA5
Not sure if any of the above will help.
i have recently been having unfortunately clock has stopped messages, also unfortunately, the process com.android, phone has stopped messages keep showing up on my screen. sometimes it comes up with hancent has stopped too. but that is very infrequently. the frequency of these messages are making my phone nearly unusable.
i have tried force closing the clock in the running apps and cleared data as some sites have explained.
i have searched for an answer to this problem to no avail.
i hope someone on here can help me find out how i can rid of these messages (or problem), without having to do a factory reset.
thanks in advance
You will have to factory reset, possibly reflash your rom as well.

this is an unrooted phone. so reflashing a rom might be a problem if i have to root it 1st.
would the best way to factory reset, to do in through settings or through recovery.
i was hoping that factory reset would be the last resort to be honest.
thanks

I think a factory reset is your best bet now. Just back up your data and everything should be fine again.
It wouldn't let me even back up my data. Lost loads. But factory reset sorted it out. Many thanks

CORRECTION,
woke up this morning and now it is saying Google play has stopped working and the phone is less usable. doing my head in now. i tried installing Google play and the error stopped. reinstalled and the problem came back/
any other help suggestions please???????
Unless you've modified something then, by flashing or restoring then your firmware is corrupting itself -probably due to nand memory failure. Try the test app from freezing thread in general forum.
I haven't knowingly changed anything in the firmware. But I have now forced an update through kies on my computer. Once again, so far so good.

I have a note 2 that I kept stock for a long time. And decided to root it about a week ago. I used the latest casual one click root. And it seemed all dandy initially until i went between a few different roms and it decided it wanted to shut off randomly and not boot back up past the note 2 screen on its own. But the odd part was it booted while connected to the wall or to the computer. So I flashed to 4.1.2 stock via odin and the issue still remains. I can only use it fine on charger. Is there something else im missing on flashing back to stock?

Hmm when you installed 4.3 did you do so wiping everything could be an app causing the problem. Try it from brand new with no apps installed and see if that helps. Could be also a radio issue as well.

Yeah I wiped everything. Actually used odin twice to revert to stock 4.1.2. I tried a few cm nightlies before it began. Is there anything else I should flash on top of whats already been done?

I've found that even after using ODIN to go back to stock 4.1.2, that there's still leftover data on the phone from custom ROM's. I've read where others had the same issue. I don't know why Odin doesn't seem to fully wipe everything ... but this has been my personal experience.
The way I've fixed this (and all this may not be necessary).. . is that after Odin'ing back to stock 4.1.2, I boot into stock recovery, then do a full factory reset and wipe cache. Then I booted into the stock Rom and used the bypass setup trick (touch the left side of the screen right above Emergency... then right side, then left, then right again, and then volume up... this should bypass setup to save time).
Then went into phone's settings and performed a factory reset from within the stock Rom too...
Finally... (because I'm a bit OCD... so this is probably not necessary), but I ODIN'd back to stock 4.1.2 one more time and then proceeded with using CASUAL again to root /unlock the bootloader).
I know this is a pain in the butt... but this has worked for me. Maybe others will have some better suggestions.
(Edit : Forgot to mention that if you're not wanting to return to stock to start over again... check out this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53624921) on how to flash a stock recovery for the purposes of doing a proper data wipe... then can you odin your custom recovery back to the device without having to fully restore to stock... this can be a real time saver. Please make sure to thank the OP for the helpful info).
So in the end I tried to reset from stock recovery and wipe cache. Than do a reset from the settings and the issue presisted. But now I have root and recovery as well. So I may give a rom a try.

This is totally a guess, but I'm thinking that you may have a battery problem... and it's just a coincidence that these problems started happening around the same time that you rooted. You may try replacing the battery to see if that fixes things.... (you can get one pretty cheap off ebay or Amazon).
Yeah thats odd. I had bought another battery from a phone store I use to work at and have no issues now, back on 4.1.1 rooted.
