i think it is great to have soft nav keys like on nexus devices coz sometimes its anoyying to use hardware button like accidently hiting back while watching videos and above all pressing the hard home button for opening recent tasks...so ihave found a thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982000
and its working for our quattro :laugh::laugh:
it is just as simple as liking candy just follow the instructions bellow
1.must have a rooted quattro.
2.go to root browser or any file explorer which can acess system folder than find build.prop
3.than just copy this script to build.prop qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 and save it.
4.reboot and enjoy
5.adjust screen dpi to 200 for best visuals coz it look quite odd to see big nav buttons

I think it's better if it has option like our notification bar to swipe up and use. touching at a specific corner is a little uncomfotable.

Hello fellow note 2 owners. I noticed that some non-samsung and non-google apps such as facebook and twitter appear in the multiwindow list. Did anyone find any other third party apps working there as well ?

First of all, huge thanks to "Onemeila" for the post on removal of Amazon navigation keys. - All credit really goes to him!
REQUIRES ROOT
I had a hunch that it was the amazon HW Navi keys that were cutting off the keyboard, and that is the case!
Original post here: (make sure you thank him by hitting thanks button)

Follow his steps, I also used the "Button Savior" app as he suggested.
Here is the screenshot of completion, yay full sized keyboard!

I came from Samsung and really miss the Menu Key at the bottom.
Z Ultra menu key is at the top in all programs and really a pain to get the finger there.
I found 2 Mods in Xperia Z forum and I think it may be work on my rooted Ultra as most of the things are same.
But, we don't have CWM Recovery and can't flash. Anyone able to try below?
4 Button Nav Bar: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386741

I know Ultimate Dynamic Navbar, but it is not like real Navbar and cover-up the items(eg., Keyboard) under it.
Cheers!
You may try 'Auto Hide Soft Keys'. You will not need the cwm to install this app.

Thanks. But, I don't want to hide soft keys.
I just want Menu Soft Key in Navigation Bar(Soft Key Bar).
That one can make it happen, but as well as hide soft keys when you dont use them.
By the way, in my view, most menu still remains the same position on the top right of the screen, wherever appears the menu button.
So, hopes u know what i am saying...XD
Thanks. Auto Hide is quite same with Ultimate Dynamic Navbar and cover-up the keyboard.
But with UDN, the stock Navbar can hide and make Android think it has Hardware Menu Button. So, menu boxes show at bottom.
Just what I found out and still not found what I need.
Cheers!
I am using UDN, I think the App is Fantastic :good:

The leftmost button adds a sort of favorite app launcher that houses 8 apps you can predefine using GravityBox. The rightmost button is Menu and launches the menu on other apps as well.
I found that the transparency doesn't work though; the color must be hardcoded in by Sony. It's a problem that I'm willing to overlook because I have the extra two buttons though.
I think I've downloaded about a dozen keyboards, googled a million images, but I can't find what I want.
Why do they all have stupid keys and menus in additional rows that I can't remove nor do I need taking up my screen space.
I think Go Keyboard was about the worst.
This one isn't too bad because the keypad size is adjustable but I still don't need their stupid menu keys.

I just want a fully functional keyboard that looks clean.
Predominantly white.
And I do want the ability to add the arrow key row.
Scalable keys / keypad is also a plus.
I don't want big keys.
I don't want big spaces between keys.
I don't want 3d or bevelled keys.
I don't want additional keys or menus.
Can someone plz help.

Are there feature unlocks in the trial upgrade?
There's no next word prediction?
And you have to type the full word and space just to get prediction for the current word?

I've been working for a while on how to get any softkeys I wanted on my G4. It is posible to do so with xposed modules like xstana or nexus navbar but these have built-in navbars and if you don't like them you're stuck. I loved softkeyZ because you could use any png file not only pre-made icons. I usually used Photoshop touch on my Z3 to mod my navbar icons and apply them with softkeyZ. Unfortunately this app doesn't work eith the G4. But let's fix that. This method makes you get basically any png file as your navbar softkeys meaning you can grab any themes' softkeys and just apply.

"lightbox_download": "Download",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Prerequisite
-Root and Xposed framework
-Xstana prime
-Softkeys of your choice
Tutorial
# If you have xtstana prime it is easy use the personalized feature and choose your png from your gallery and not android's default document picker.See attachment 1-3. Choose scale type to be cetre crop or fill from the settings icon after this.And you're done
1.If you don't have softkeys download softkeyZ and open it then check the folder the app created on your internal storage for png files. You can also find any softkey online or ask a theme developer or diy.
2.Resize them following attachment 4-5 .Normally the deault size should be 144x144. You need to increase it to 192x192 or more not less.
3.Your icons may not look crisp again if your only increase the size of the image. Use the Bevel feature like in attachment 9 .
4.Save and then extract the icons to your gallery the follow # above to apply them.
Hope I helped please! Hit thanks if you appreciate:good::highfive:
Is this something different than using the Xstana module on Xposed? That works fine, but Softkeyz does not work.
project finished now you can hop into the thread.
