Hello Im posting my solution to how I had fixed my bricked LG G3 LS990. I bricked it a few days ago and searched tons of forums and youtube videos and it was tough trying to find a solution for this variant of the LG G3. And I had seen that everyone who was having the same problems I had couldnt find the solution either, but luckily somehow I had figured it out...I even took my phone to the Sprint store after my phone was getting "Security Error" and they couldnt even fix it and had to ship me a new one in which I no longer need since I fixed it myself...

Hello and thank you for posting this info. My situation is a bit unique. I have a Sprint LG G3 that is rooted and has been running various ROM's. I want to go back to stock/unrooted and have followed the instructions in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-how-to-restore-sprint-lg-g3-ls990-t2852042/post60463455#post60463455) using the LG Flash Tool to attempt to flash the TOT and DLL files for my device. But for the life of me I can't get it to work.
In the thread above I wrote a short post explaining what I think the problem is, but bottom line it gives me an error when I try to flash the files. So then I found this thread and thought this is great, I'll just grab the stock image files for the Sprint LG G3 ZV4 and simply flash them via Fastboot. Alas, when I try to do it with the phone off, or in Download or TWRP recovery mode ADB and Fastboot do not see/recognize the phone. If I have the phone booted up and plug it in, it will list the device (although it says offline next to it, so not sure why that is), but when I put the phone in recovery or download mode ADB/Fastboot Devices command will not list the device to show it is recognized. I assume the phone can't be booted up in order to erase and flash the various partitions. I have debugging mode turned on, the LG drivers installed, etc., what am I doing wrong here? Why doesn't the PC see the phone when it's in download or recovery, but only see's it when it's booted up.
All I want to do is return this phone to stock/unrooted ZV4. Please help.
Thanks

Sorry for the late response, I guess I dont get notifications..but I think I had the same issue, but as long as the cpu sees the phone once its booted up you should be able to flash the files from Step 1 using the command window on your cpu
@Celly624
I have a few questions.
When you where stuck in fastboot mode, did you try to pull battery and boot into recovery?
Which aboot version where using?
I've been in fastboot mode several times, and security error. For me it's a bad boot.img, ie not booting kernel or forgot to bump img. For me, pulling battery and going into recovery and flashing good kernel fixes issue. Also done the fastboot command to flash kernel/boot.img. But don't always have a computer around.
este fue mi problema FACTORY RESET STATUS 2

Thanks for unbricking my phone from the mess that the supposed Auto-Rec TWRP installer created.
For those who get the "Factory Reset Status 2" message, you need to close out LG Flash Tool, unplug the cable, pull the battery, push and hold the up arrow while plugging in the cable, restart the LG Flash Tool, go back to manual mode, and change the bottom setting from "Upgrade DL" to "Board DL", then resume at Step 29.
If you then get a MiniOS ATT screen with the "Don't touch!" message, just press OK. Now pull the battery, reinsert the battery, press and HOLD the power button. While continuing to hold the power button, wait for the MiniOS screen to go to the multi-option menu. Choose "Normal boot (+power)". It may take up to 15 seconds for the popup message to reboot your phone, so be patient. Choose to reboot it, and you're now back at stock.
If doing the above still keeps you at the MiniOS options screen, press the power button and choose "Factory Reset(+power).

I kept hanging at 89% FBoot Check Failed. This time I did what you said during the FBoot check: I held the power button through the MiniOS screen and hitting OK on the screen check. I waited 5 seconds, then HELD the power button down again while hit the "Normal boot (+power)", which rebooted the phone into the expected Android is Upgrading screen. Note that I used the LS990ZV8_00.zip, which has the ZV8 tot inside and the LGUP_8974.dll in the LG Flash Tool with the Action Mode set to Board DL.
Currently running Sprint original ZV8 for ls990 v5.0.1. Accepting over the air upgrade. Now gotta figure how to root....:silly:
Hello I bricked my g3 and I have only access to fastboot but when I try to erase or flash some partition I got these error message:
Code:
Error: Command never completed
Error: Auto CMD12 error
Error: Command completed with errors
Error: Command never completed
Error: Command timeout error
Error: Command completed with errors
Failed to send stop command
Failed writing block @ 1
I could access to a adb shell booting with a twrp image (fastboot boot twrp.img). Then I try to push a twrp recovery file and execute dd commands to copy recovery partition files but I think that I don't have access neither.
Thanks for your help
Any idea how to do this for G3 D855 European version?
I had this problem once because of misinformation on downgrading to ZV4. They failed to mentioned BOARD DL instead of UPGRADE DL. It was a simple fix by recreating the steps and switching the radio buttons.
gets tuck when trying to erase aboot
i rooted my phone and erased apps now i cant access google services and most app force close. im trying to flash back to stock firmware and i cant access download mode. ive been trying to fix this for the passed 2 months now and ready to smash the stupid thing lol.
HALP
Hey, everyone. So, I made a pretty similar mistake. I've had my phone rooted for a while, and, while trying to test a custom ROM (Cloudy G3, in case you were wondering) I managed to mistakenly flash the D855 version onto my LS990 phone. Of course, I was stuck in Fastboot for a while, but now the phone only lets me into download mode. I've tried entering Recovery mode, but that just takes me right back to download mode.
That being said, the LG Flash Tool recommended isn't doing squat. If I attempt to flash the stock LS990 DLL and TOT, I get an error telling me that my phone is the wrong version, as the last software flashed to it was, indeed, the D855 firmware. If I try to flash the D855 DLL and TOT, it gets to about 6%, where I get an error about partition change.
Considering that I may not have the right drivers, I reinstalled the LG drivers as well as Qualcomm drivers to be safe. However, my computer still doesn't register my phone as anything but "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port," which isn't what it should read, if memory serves me correctly.
I have no idea what to do, and I really do love this phone... Can anyone help? Please?
unable to download fastboot files please help( error; requested file does not exist )

- FACTORY RESET STATUS 2
I followed these suggestion & it worked on my LS990 (Sprint G3) : On LG FlashTool I switched to Board DL instead of Upgrade DL
Your phone will reboot to the AAT Screen – Click OK (Yes, it says not to), then press normal boot (+power).
Your phone will reboot and all should be well.
It seems to have helped a few people get past that screen
Hopefully This Should Help Just About Everyone Having These Problems!
Click to collapse
thank you man for the final steps solution for factory reset status 2, ls990 working!! :highfive:

I am having a REAL BUGGER of a time with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon)!
1. It is not recognized by ADB in Fastboot mode.
2. I suspect it shipped wit a vendor ROM, and I'm trying to flash latest Official MIUI Global Dev (Marshmallow) ROM, but I keep getting errors in MI Flash (screenshot attached).
3. I want to Flash TWRP, BUT ADB isn't working, AND I cannot get to the download page for the cracked bootloader.
4. Seriously considering Resurrection Remix ROM, instead, but most of the above issues still apply.
I am NOT new to custom recoveries, flashing ROMS, ADB etc, BUT I am dealing with a new PC (Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, like my old (dead) laptop), and I'm new to this device.
PLEASE HELP. (Quite frustrated)
Fastboot won't recognize adb commands you have to use fastboot.
What you can try is booting into emergency download mode and using my flash to flash it from there. I think it's " adb reboot edl" while the device is on with USB debugging or using the mi updater app ( tap the three dots I think).
I think that this is not the correct section for your question, and i dont know the procedure that you follow but try to follow this procedure:
-Connect the phone at pc with USB cable
-Make sure that debug mode and OEM unlock was abilitate in dev settings
-Copy twrp.img in adb folder
-Shut down the phone and press power botton and - vol buttons for enter in fastboot mode
-Run this commands by terminal open in adb folder
fastboot devices
-If fastboot recognize correctly the device run this command
fastboot fash recovery nameoftwrp.img
-After reboot the device with this command
fastboot reboot
When the phone reboot press immediatily vol + for enter in twrp
Good luck
GOT IT! FINALLY!
-I finally got ADB to connect, and was able to enter EDL through ADB.
-Re-downloaded ROM from web.
-Re-extracted.
-FLASHED SUCCESSFULLY!
-SETUP COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY!
-YAY!
(I think the original download was corrupted, somehow.)
