are Motorola Drivers available for Windows 8?
I have read somewhere that the Driver pack wasnt compatible with Windows 8.
The drivers work but for some reason widows 8 can be picky. Not sure why. I had the same issue, try using a comp that runs windows 7 I guarantee that it will pick up your phone then.

solved
I solved using the method EPRJ_Fla****RZR_Windows. At the end of the flash appears droid with the exclamation point, but restarting the phone, the flash was successful.
I created a virtual partition on hard disk with Windows 8.1 and installed Windows 7. Now the Razr Maxx is recognized also in the port usb3.

Do you have the correct USB drivers installed? Also, make sure you have USB debugging enabled (menu->settings->applications->developerment)
Get the USB drivers here:
http://www.motorola.com/consumers/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=0351f6a559431210VgnVCM1000008406b00aRCRD
So all I need to do is update drivers does anything else need to be up to date?
I don't know. Those are just suggestions since I can't see your phone and your PC to see how they are set up.
Have you at least checked to make sure you have usb debugging enabled and tried hooking your razr up to your pc to see if that works?
If not, then upgrade the usb drivers and see if that helps, but enabling usb debugging would be my first step.

I'm not that nooby, my drivers are up to date, and I checked USB , it still doesn't show, even in
Fast boot mode.

I'm not sure what else you can do at this point. Have you tried using a different USB cable? Maybe the cable is bad?
All I know is, I'm running RSD Lite v5.7 with the latest USB drivers from the link I provided and I can see my phone listed in RSD Lite when it's hooked up to the PC.
On another computer, I had RSD Lite v5.3 and it showed up in that as well.
Anyone else have any suggestions? I'm at a loss.

Connect your razr to another USB port.
When you say "Brasil" does that mean you are running an ICS leak? I haven't flashed any of those, but I do know that when you get to a certain leak (after leak 79), you cannot fastboot flash back to Gingerbread or you brick your phone.
If so, maybe that's why you can't see it in RSD Lite? I could be wrong as I haven't loaded up any of the ICS leaks so I could be WAY off base here.
its GB what can I do? I have an eco moto USB cable.
Questions belongs in Q&A
Cheers

At this point, try it in another USB port, get another cable, try it on another computer. I'm at a loss now if you've tried everything else I've suggested.
BTW, has this ever worked for you before?
Again, I just want to confirm that you have done the following:
USB debugging is enabled
Installed latest RSD Lite
Installed latest USB drivers
Rebooted PC
I recently upgraded from a craptop to a lovely Windows 8 Touch Screen Laptop. I love it to death.
...But RSD can't see anything on it no matter how many times I install and uninstall the drivers or what version of the drivers I use. Fastboot works fine - everything syncs up and I can use fastboot/adb commands and whatnot with Atrix, X2, RAZR, RAZR M... but none of them will show up in RSD. I've tried every version I can get my hands on too. Has anyone figured this out?!
P.S. I've tried in a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port and neither work.
I have read Windows 8 gives a lot of problems and I'm not sure if it has been solved yet. I dont have windows 8 so I dont know for sure. I would try and get to a computer with an older version of windows on it. Or maybe a Virtual Machine? I dont know. Thats the problem with using an OS that is new and not a lot of people have yet.
Finding any drivers for Win8 is a massive pain in the ass. Messing with anything other than the basic interface is a practice in futility.

I have Windows 8 and RSD lite 4.5 works fine. Did you download the Motorola tools. There is a sticky thread that has a link to a zip with RSD and both 32 and 64 bit versions of thr USB installs.

I have Windows 8, and i haven't had a problem with it yet.
RSD works fine for me on Windows 8.
You probably screwed yourself on the drivers. Go to device manager and remove all the USB and other drivers related to your device , then re-install using moto tools.
Hello, I have a bricked Droid Razr Maxx XT912 Verizon US version (problem explained here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079244). I have tried connecting the phone to my computer and finding it in RSD Lite, but it never finds it. I know that I have the proper drivers installed, the computer itself recognizes the device, and for some reason RSD Lite hasn't been able to find my device for a while now (even before I messed my device up more than it already was). Does anyone have a solution to this problem?? Thank you kindly.

Try installing the Android SDK particularly the platform-tools, then try doing a fastboot device, and see if your XT912 is listed.
I've seen a lot device issues with Windows 8 as well... It involved me having to delete drivers using pnputil.
Thanks for the help. I was asking so that I could restore my phone from AP Fastboot, but I got it working using the DroidRazrUtility instead. I have Windows 8 (dual boot w/ 7 also) so I'm guessing that could have been the problem, like you said.
Can someone help me get my HTC One to be recognized by Windows. I can get it recognized when the phone is booted into the system but once it hits the bootloader it shows this error:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed.

are you possibly using a USB 3.0 port? if so use a 2.0
I've tried using both and no luck either way.

You could always do what I ended up doing; get an Ubuntu Live CD and run it without installing, download the sdk, and run adb/fastboot commands that way.

This is a very good suggestion and Ubuntu 13.04 installs beside Windows 8 pretty easily. As long as you get into the bios and turn secure boot off and then change the boot order to put your CD image or sd drive first.
It is probably the easiest way if to don't have a Windows 7 machine laying around. That's what I had to do myself. I didn't feel like installing the sdk on my Fedora partition right then so I hijacked my wife's computer.

see this thread... it helped me solve my Win8, 64-bit, USB issues, including fastboot.
I have problem with HTC One flashed Stock RUU with Google edition and can't see mass storage. In device manager Android device: My HTC -this is ok, but MTP driver is not found, i had tried everything.
Windows 8 x64. I tried 2 different win8 x64 machines and same problem. Few weeks ago I ran's win7 and ARHD 12.1 then working well. All started in win8.
In Windows 7 x64 no problems at all. Windows find automatically driver or update new driver both working.
Can anyone recommend something?
Cheers !
