yep very good
the point which make me conflict is installing CM 10.1.3 on official firmware 4.1.2 ( as table i sent you from CM official site it shows firmware 4.2.2 beside CM 10.1.x) because CyanogenMod not change firmware number i think
could you please clear this for me

u need not worry about those version and firmware details
The statement in those cm sites are about installing the correct gapps package for the correct version of cm
It has nothing to do with incompatibility of latest version for our phones
Be rest assured i run android 4.3.1 in my gs2 gt i9100

and as for 'Kies connection' , No u cannot connect to kies with a custom rom, since it recognises on Stock samsung Firmware

You need only to flash ROM and Google apps (if you want them.)
First flash recovery ☺.

-you must install an advanced CWM recovery either, Philz, TWRP via odin, there are tutorials on that.
-when you have it, you should leave the CM zip and gapps this in the internal or external sd.
-when you have them, you must get into recovery mode by pressing power button, volume up and home button.
-in recovery, you must do wipe data factory reset., wipe cache, and dalvik cache (you find it in this advanced)
-wipes once done, you go denes install from sdcard, you want the zip file of the rom and gapps, whether you left in the internal or external sd. and install first the rom, then gapps.
-once installed, back again, and give it to reboot sistem now.
Now enjoy your new rom :good:

to cm11 from stock 4.1.2xxemc2
1.Check in the CM 11 thread if you can upgrade to 4.4 from 4.1.2 because in my case I needed to above 4.1.2 to flash 4.4 *I was coming from 4.3 *
2.When you flash a custom rom,you don't need ariza patch because the kernel which the ROM uses is already patched and I think the modem is too,so you will be good without it.
3.Make sure you have the latest recovery , I recommend you Philz
Recovery above 6 versions.

Hi I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S2 this week and I'm looking forward to installing Cyanogenmod using their installer. But I want to know whether the Cyanogenmod installer will install the latest CM11 ROM on the Galaxy S2 or do I have to use ODIN and flash CM11 manually?
I want to do it the most safest way as possible without bricking my phone, I would appreciate your help, Thank you
Also the CM website says latest version of CM installer for S2 is CM10.2? Does that mean I can't get CM11? Thank you.

Cm11 installer will install one of the stable snapshots of cm11 (last time I used it, it installed the m10 snapshot). I'm not sure if they changed it to install the m12 snapshot (latest) but if you really want the most recent snapshot build, you should use cwm. The cm website for the installer hasn't been updated for a while (someone should lodge a ticket or complaint). As long as you follow guides step by step, you should be fine.
Odin is not the official way to flash cm11 as cyanogenmod use zip files which are designed for custom recoveries such as clockwork mod (cwm).
Thank you very much for your reply I wouldn't mind installing through CM installer if it at least gives me the latest stable version. However I might try to manually flash it. Can you give me a link to the best guide available to flash CM on i9100? If its possible
