Going through the pen settings in the ICS leak I saw the option for a marker that shows where the pen is hovering but I've only seen it working in Gallery. Anyone notice any other apps that show the icon?
It works in Sketch Book Mobile. Only app I've found that it works in.

Didn't even know about that app. Easier drawing with Sketch Book than S-memo
it shows up in draw something.
Works in app drawer, nova launcher

I swore when I turned it on it worked everywhere..but was so small you could barely see it
Hey guys. Is this feature anyhow available also for GingerBread? I am not satisfied with ICS,but this is really perfect feature. I want to use stock ROM on my Note.
The hovering icon shows in Photoshop Touch.

I've been having a strange issue with the multitasking window. I hit the "edit" button to add apps that I want to multitask, but when I drag an app into the drawer it magically switches to a different app. It doesn't seem to have any kind of pattern either. It will just switch to any random app. Anyone else had this problem yet?
This appears to be a common issue with many of the multi-window mods.
I recommend the multi-window module for the Xposed framework as it corrects this problem.
It can be found here:

You need to clear data for com.sec.android.app.FlashBarService.
Then it will be fine.

My multi Window app tab seems to be at the bottom now. Not sure what I did. Anyone know how to put it back to the middle?

Long press the multi window tab/handle and move it wherever you want.

Hi,
Is there a way to open a s note sheet when I detach the spen or am I restricted to just opening the app and having to select what note I want and blah blah
Time is money

No sensor
Note 1 does not have the sensor to detect when you withdraw the pin. Note 2 does. Should be able to enable pop-up note in settings somewhere( sorry so vague, I do not have access to Note 2.)
GMD s-pen control can be used with a gesture to open any app I believe. Can be used with Samsung firmware specifically for S-note. Not quite the convenience you are looking for but could be useful on any custom ROM on original note. Papyrus is an alternative to S-note as well if using non Samsung firmware.

I came from the Note 2 with 4.3 FTW 1.0 and Synergy r3 roms. Both roms allowed me to open apps in the pop up windowed mode by clicking on the app in the multi window tray. On the note 3 stock rom clicking the apps in the tray automatically opens the split screen mode. Looked through the roms and screen shots and haven't seen a mention of this. Does anyone know how to get that feature on the note 3 besides using pen window manager?

Used xposed installer. It's a apk that allow mods. Once you have installed it look for a mod called "Xhalofloatingwindow". It will allow you to have apps that pop up. Oh and there's a cool app to use in conjunction with xhalo. It's called floating notification and you can find it in the android market.

Seems the GPe is full of upsets, first I discover that the radio sw had been removed by Google although the radio hw is there, then I discovered that I no longer have write access to my external SD because of KitKat
Last upset I ran into was not being able to use a pen on the screen, there is no input method that supports handwriting and using a normal pen or pencil on the home screen as a stylus doesn't work!
I have read that pen support is supposed to work on the GPe so what am I doing wrong?!

Pen works on my GPE just fine. But they need to have metal tips. Just a ballpoint doesn't work. For an app, try Papyrus, it is a great writing utility.

Pencils work fine for scrolling and clicking. I think OP may want to use it to input into text boxes as a keyboard substitute.
Actually I was using a normal ball point pen and didn't realize it had to be a metal tip, tried a metal tip and it works just fine now, thanks.
I will try papyrus also, any apps I can use for handwriting recognition?
