As you can see, its not where it normally is.. anyone know how to get this back?
I tried to follow this http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-lte-all-things-root/687330-titanium-backup-google-play-missing-menu-button-after-flashing-viper.html but I dont see this "settings> display, gestures & buttons."
The reason is because the restoring is not working as I need to change the backup location...

I have a workaround for you and anyone else on a custom ROM with this problem.
1. Enter the settings menu in your ROM.
2. Search for 'Hardware Buttons' On-Screen navigation buttons
3. Enable custom actions
3. Select the back/home key (normal/long press or double tap) and configure it to open a menu.
I have my home button setup with a long press to open a menu. I use this in Titanium Backup to open the menu and it works magically. I tried searching online with no solution to be had. Hope this works for you. Different ROM's have different layout but the same basic principles.
Your trying to customize your navigation bar keys (home/ back) with a single/double press or long press to open a menu.
This has been solved a long time ago, I don't recall exactly how :/

Thank you for the work around, which does work but am convinced that there is another way as it was working for a while on my OnePlus X and CM13. However something has stopped it working but I don't know what? I thought to start with it was the dpi as on the OxygenOS ROM this did make it appear.
Does anyone have any other ideas please?

You Sir. Are a legend.
Clicking Problems button didn't help. I cannot see the settings button with LOS 14.1 on my S4 Mini.
As a workaround you can (on Oreo) go the system settings, and in system->buttons set a button action to open the menu. I used the home button double tap.

but with the t-mobile build.prop. I've replaced it with the stock build.prop. ALL CREDIT GOES TO homeslice976!
This mod will remove the on screen 3 dot menu bar and restore the Option under Settings/Display, Gestures, and Buttons for Back Button Options, letting you choose Press for back, press and hold for menu (as shows in the screenshot). This mod will not enable Menu functionality in Prism (the sense launcher). This will work on Stock/Rooted, odexed or deodexed. Flash in recovery, wiping dalvik and cache afterwards is necessary. Contains a slightly modified Settings and build.prop with a line added to remove the 3 dot menu bar - built from T-mobile's 1.27
Also included is a mod to enable the back button settings, but leave the 3 dot menu bar. And one will go back to stock Settings. Note that this is based off of the ATT software like stated above. If you've flashed this to another build, and you want to go back to stock, you need your Settings.apk. If you're stock ROM was odexed, you also need Settings.odex. Put them both (with 7zip on a PC) in /system/app/ of the bk2stock zip and flash away. Not a bad idea to also use your stock build.prop if you're going back

The attached file is for turning off the 3 dot menu ONLY. It works perfectly. v2 In combination with something like faux's kernel you'll get both the HTC logo to menu and the removal of the 3 dot menu.

Thanks for sharing, I'll give it a try later :good:
I've pulled the files, they don't seem to be very stable at the moment. Edit: I've reuploaded them. Use them at your own risk!
What seems to be the issue?
Does this take away all 3 dot menus. e.g The menu in gmail AND the black, software button you would see in Facebook? Otherwise this should work perfectly for me since I already have the menu button mapped to the HTC Logo.

This ROM is overclockable!!! The overclock settings are built into the system settings.
I have safely Overclocked this phone to 1117, and it's pretty stable at 1132. Anything higher will make the phone unstable.

Also, I apologize if this thread bothers anyone with the Ideos S7. I saw that the forums were a little empty and not many people went on it and since our device (Huawei Fusion 2) doesn't have a forum on XDA, I thought this may be a good way to keep things organized.

Have you tried increasing the voltage trough the kernel at the higher clockrates?
I have not dared clock the S7 higher then the maximum 1ghz, but if you either tweak the voltage settings trough the menuconfig or hack it, it might become more stable at around 1150 mhz

You can download it here: http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-all-things-root/730066-how-install-cyanogenmod-10-1-jellybean-4-2-2-fusion-2-a.html
But, you should back up your 3g first. link to how to: http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-all-things-root/729700-read-before-flashing-ics-jellybean-roms.html
Is there a way we can get a recent version (CM10.1) built? Also, how do we get the 2GB internal partition recognized?
I picked up a pair of these and switched them both to CM10.1. Unfortunately, there is only ~350MB of space for the /system partition (I'm working on this). I will need the partition map so I can actually shuffle some space around. I'm looking at taking (maybe) a 200MB chunk out of /data and sticking it in /system. Either that, or making a normal CM10.1 build and a barebones gapps build.
Also, I noticed this has a built-in FM radio according to several sites. Any ideas?

Hi guys I have troubbles to download the files
please can upload againg in other server zip, i can`t download i need the rom for my phone huawei u8665
No mod for phone
I have a Fusion 2 Huawei U8665 phone I would like to put Cyanogenmod on. I would love the most current vision that would work for the phone. All of the links I've followed to get the mod, leads to a page saying "The file you're trying to download is no longer available". Can anyone help me find what I need to do this. I've already rooted the phone, and backed up the 3g fix files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah the links don't work anymore. I hope someone has an archive out there since my device is stuck on CM7.2/Android 2.3.7 as Slimbean just shows the AT&T logo and doesn't boot unless I flash CM7.2 again. My U8665 doesn't even work with any of my SIM cards anyways, and besides, Phone by Google on my Galaxy A03s is still a decent UI.
Pie controls are awesome and i recommend to use them because
You can use your phone in full screen
You can play games and use apps in full screen
You will avoid press home button accidentally while playing a game (happen to me many times)
You will love it (i did) :good:
Must install if you are a hardcore - pro gamer like me
On the following guide i will explain requirements, how to use, how to install required apps and how to disable stock navigation bar and enable pie controlls!
Requirements
1. Root
2. It works on both stock and CM based roms.
How to use
Touch the edge of the screen and swipe to inside of screen (not very fast)
You need 1-2 days to get familiar using it..
Xposed framework and GravityBox installation
1. Download Xposed installer apk from here and install it Xposed framework
2. Launch Xposed installer from your app drawer
3. Go to "Framework" section and press install/update
4. Reboot your phone
5. Do step 2 again
6. Go to "Download" section and search for GravityBox > download it > install it and press done
7. Go back (step 2)
8. Go to "Modules" section and tick GravityBox
9. Reboot your phone
Pie controlls installation
1. Launch GravityBox from your app drawer
2. Go to "Navigation bar tweaks" Set "Master switch" to ON and untick enable navigaton bar (disable it)
3. Go back and tap "Pie controls" then "Enable pie controls=Always"
4. Tick "Always show menu button"
5. "Trigger positions" is from which sides you want pie controlls to work (i use bottom and right because when phone is in landscape bottom of the phone is right (landscape games, camera etc))
6. "Trigger size" if you set it to high then pie controls will be enabled easier (i use and i recommend to use 6-7 px)
7. "Disable system info" (I recommend ticked)
8. "Disable navigation keys" is not working in some custom roms thats why i recommend step 2 to disable stock navigation bar
9. "Long press is what action" (better leave the default)
10. "Pie colors" if you want to change colors of pie controls
11. Reboot your phone after you done with you settings
Other things you can do with Gravity box
1. Use volume keys to skip track while screen is off
2. Change time - battery - wi fi - signal icons and colors
3. Change transparency for statusbar
4. Allow all rotations of screen
5. Add button to close all recent apps
6. Much more
NOTES
Playing with some options is dangerous in some roms..
Maybe you end up with bootloop
Always take backup of your phone rom/data
Some of the options work only on CyanogenMod based roms (like vibrate on call)
Most settings needs reboot but not all
This is my first guide so feel free to tell me if i forgos something
Im not responsible for anything
I never faced any problem or bootloop playing with GravityBox with installed rom on my phone (Xperia Pureness)
If you end with bootloop you can still try this FIX before you restore your backup
Good luck!
Here are some photos of my lovely SP with pie controlls and status bar changes <3

How to use pie control it hidden always

GravityBox has awesome feature set, but it has many things incompatible with Xperia ROMs, eventually, if you tweak some options, you will start to have random crashes n reboots. So just be careful and dont enable options not really needed.
Just my opinion, some will endorse it as well

This is the split window feature for LG-L9-II from G pro 2 (its working better than G3 in our phone)
This is for stock rom kitkat v20b ONLY
[Do NOT use it with other phone/version - modifies telephony-common.jar/odex and com.lge.frameworks.jar/odex]
If you want to try it with other phone/version, create a installable CWM zip file with the 4 files above, from your phone, so you can restore it in case something go wrong.

Open browser, go to Favorites, tap and hold a favorite page and select "Add to home/start screen" (or something).
[In other words, add a short-cut to a page at home screen]
Tap on the short-cut. You must see it in split window.
If yes, as I said, in order to see the pop-up window tap and hold back key just a little longer than a normal tap.
If not, its not working [I don't think so - must work on v20a too]

Ok, perhaps is this:
With an root editor, add the following two lines to your build.prop (located at /system folder)
ro.lge.capp_splitwindow=true
persist.splitwindow.support_all=true
reboot

This might be a little off topic but is it possible to add custom fonts to the settings>display>font menu? I mean is there a xml file which stores the necessary paths for fonts? You can install fonts from SmartWorld so there must be a way to do this .

Ok, I think I found it. I need 4 files from your system/framework folder
telephony-common.jar
telephony-common.odex
com.lge.frameworks.jar
com.lge.frameworks.odex
I will modified them and send you 2 files (DeOdexed)
telephony-common.jar
com.lge.frameworks.jar
You MUST odex them in your phone (this is the only way).
If you know how to do it, ok. If not, send me a pm.

I take no responsibility on what following this guide does to your phone.
EDIT:
So, I found this guide online, tested it out and it works.
Quick note on the guide. You'll want to add the "navigation_bar_height_landscape" = 0 in step 11. so it removes the navigation bar in landscape mode too.

1st. you have to have the lastest Android SDK Platform Tools and enable usb debugging on your phone. (head over to Settings > System > Tap on Build Number 7 Times > Go back to Settings > System > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging.)
2nd. install the Shizuku App from Play Store, open it and leave it open.
3rd. Now connect your device to the PC via USB cable. Then head over to the platform-tools folder, type in CMD in the address bar, and hit Enter. This shall launch the Command Prompt.
4th. Now type in the below command in the CMD window to launch the Shizuku App:
adb shell sh /sdcard/Android/data/moe.shizuku.privileged.api/start.sh
You should now see the Shizuku is running message and we are now good to go ahead.
5th. download and install the Fabricate Overlay app on your device from GitHub.
6th Launch the app and tap on the Add overlay button situated at the bottom.
After that, select Android System from the list and tap on Add.
Then type in navigation in the search bar and scroll to the Dimen.
Now select the navigation_bar_frame_height, input 0 in the Value field and tap Apply.
Then select the navigation_bar_height, type in 0 in the Value field and tap Apply.
Then select the navigation_bar_height_landscape, type 0 in the Value field and tap Apply.
7th. Now hit the Save button, give this overlay a name, and hit Save.
Finally, checkmark this overlay to activate it.
It's fantastic Thank You very much! Works! Finally I can use the FNG. I only found the source codes that was my problem.

I still prefer for the older Android OS quick settings tiles...but this is a compromise. The new OS Notification Panel has a ton of wasted space and bloated buttons.
I almost want to remove the quick settings panel altogether....and I probably could replace it with the Tasker AutoNotification Panel I've already made just below it. More versatile, more compact.
