Hello,I've noticed that there's another thread for discussion of benchmarks
But mostly everyone has posted scores obtained on stock ROM
I would like to open this thread to discuss about the LOW benchmark scores obtained on cm10.2 on LG G2 d802
People are getting 30k + or even 35k+ on stock on antutu
But here on cm10.2 I've not heard or seen a single one get above 25k+ on antutu
I would like us to discuss why this is happening ?
And all those running cm10.2 on d802 ,please post your benchmarks here
This discussion is about why we are obtaining low benchmark scores and how we can fix this problem on cm10.2 only
Thank you.
I got 28,783 and 28,773 on two different days running default cm kernel. (I previously got 34,146 with LG stock)
I only got way down to 25k when I used wootever's kernel, so I reverted to default cm one. I have to say, I don't have any problems with the speed of the phone though. Even playing Asphalt8 for several hours last night, I don't notice any frame drops at all, so i'm certainly not complaining. But I would like to know, just out of curiosity, why the antutu score drops on cm.
never got 25k. highest was 31k plus, but forgot to do screenshot

CM M1, cm kernel
interactive, no other tweaks.
One thing, though , I noticed is that sometimes newly flashed CM will set max CPU to 1.7 or 1.9 Ghz. That cannot be noticed in daily usage but certainly has an impact on benchmark scores. Try reverting it back to 2.26 see what happens.

Yeah.
And today I put my phone under the air conditioner (LOL) while taking the antutu test and somehow it managed to get to 27k
Using pacman and cm stock kernel
I'm sure they will get better on the scores. On my old S4 it used to have lower scores than stock rom when runnning early cm 10.2 nightIies. The recent one has higher scores than stock.
On regular use though I did not notice any slowdowns so I keep running CM

I tried PAC once and found if a tad laggy-er than CM. So I went back to CM.
maybe it also affects your benchmarks?

I'll try it today
We should have more kernel support for cm.UV might help a lot for benchmarks.
What we need is a kernel with thermal throttling disabled. Wootever has implemented intelli thermal which allows us to control it but it's not working correctly yet.

I'm currently on The Unofficial v1.5 and supposedly it supports overclocking up to 1.9 ghz. Has anyone else using this rom noticed that when you raise the clock speed that high it just reboots constantly? Its supposed to be able to support it, so have I done something wrong?

Most kernels say 1.9 but u should stay at 1.83. 1.9 creates bootloop
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Yes...it does bootloop alot at that speed.. the safest speed is 1.83 or even 1.89 that's plenty of enough speed without any problems...

1.94 os max speed if u read it says 1.83 stable
sent from team perfections ics rom
The max speed on any device is always unstable. Actually most of the time the top two or three speeds ar always unstable. It also depends on the device too. My Note and your Note may not be stable at the same speed and the rom has nothing to do with it, its the chip in your phone. I remember I had a Touch Pro 2 once that most people could only over clock to 710MHz but a few of us could overclock to 786MHz. I have my Note running pretty stable at 1836 but I have seen some people complaing about bootloops at that speed so it really depends on your device. Remeber when testing out clock speeds make sure that you never check "Apply At Boot" in case the speed is not stable and only check it when you find a stable speed. Her's a video of someone running stable at 1890MHz

Yes. Leave it at 1.5max and 192min. If you're not doing anything that requires oc'ing, why set it high.

Are you on a custom Rom or kernel? I'm still on stock but rooted and am not doing anything special (i.e. not killing any apps before running the benchmark). My score is typically between 19,500 - 20,500. 18,700 is fine though, maybe you have an app that is running on the background slowing things down a bit.

Just for the shiz and giggles, I was wondering which 4.2.1 Rom have you guys had the most success with? Flappjaxxx's (available on his goo.im for the uninformed), Manels Jellybeer, or JamieD81
s preview build?
Also, would love to know what Governors you guys are running, and if your using Flapps 4.2.1 kernels. (He's been uploading new ones almost daily.)
I personally am using Manels Jellybeer at the moment with Flapps Alt kernel (I'm one of the unlucky ones with tricky capacitive buttons) , I love the DPI groupings, although I have tried Jamie's build and loved it as well. Probably gonna try Flapps latest Beta 4 out tonight and give it for a spin for a few days. Let me know something guys:good: and keep supporting our devs, would love to keep all three of them up and running for us, so don't be afraid to flash that i717 to death with all the new builds (not literally to death)
Jamie's preview 2 with 4aces kernel has been amazing for me.

JellyBeer + flapp's 3.0.3, OC'd & UV'd with Wheatley and deadline. Although, to be fair, I did try Jamie's and had no problems with it. I was just extremely gunshy of JB after so many RRs during calls back in Sept/Oct when I last gave it a shot.

Well I can't even chime in....p4 WiFi....but if you're want to know what I get the best scores with..its 4.2 ROMs...Even though, the 4.3 ROM I'm running now is much faster feeling... I think it has to do with the write spread to sdcard . It test goofy ...and if I'm honest. Its a little slower installing on 4.3. But the ROM itself is much faster.
Benchmarks don't mean anything. If the ROM feels good, then its good.

Simply put: my benchmark score is my experience of the ROM. If the ROM is fast, smooth and stable like the 4.3 ROMs I have experienced, then I score the ROM high For me it does not matter if an app scores the ROM low. I have therefore scored 4.3 very high. Whether an app scores 4.3 low or not means nothing to me. I DO THE BENCHMARK SCORING FOR MYSELF. Compared to 4.x.2, my benchmark for 4.3 is definitely higher. I am sure you get my drift now.
Cheers.

I just was wondering if there were any fast roms that have special aroma options to help the gaming performance on the galaxy note. I used to use the HTC evo 3d and I found an ics rom called nega lite and it had some options in the aroma installer to disable vsync and multisampling and things run a lot faster on that rom only game wise. Atm I am on a kitkat rom with the uber kernel installed but I ran a quadrant and I got what seemed to be a low score of 3100. I know the resolution on the note is a lot higher than most 4.7in phones so maybe that's why things seem slower. Idk. If anyone can give me a few links to faster roms that you use or just something I can do to help 3D performance that would be great! Thanks! PS: I ran an app called nenamark 2 which is an fps tester and I got 31-32fps final score if possible run this app on your note and see if you get a higher fps score and let me know what your rom and kernel set up is. Thanks again.

Since you installed a kernel your able to adjust the cpu now. What settings are you currently using when you get these stats? Did you overclock the cpu? What governor are you using? What app are you using to tweek? I think that most users with that kernel use setcpu. Under the developer options of your phone have you played with the gpu settings at all?
I'm using on demand governor and it is maxed oc I'm also overclocking using the performance option in settings that came with the rom. Can you run Nena mark 2 and quadrant and tell me your scores?
