New Cloud Storage for our device! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

Hey fam, u guys familiar with DROPBOX? Just found something better @ "Copy"... "Copy" is a new cloud-based service provider kinda like Dropbox but with BETTER features. You get 15 GB with the sign up ( vs dropbox 2GB) and each time someone u refer joins copy, u both get 5GB extra ( vs 500MB dropbox) . If you want to headstart with 20 GB , follow this link link removedhttps://copy.com?r=Aex6gq . This is the best competitor to Dropbox or any other cloud companies. TRUST ME!
EDIT: After registering, please make sure to check ur email for verification purposes and download the app frm the market. ENJOY!!

Barracuda Networks is huge! I believe they were the first cloud storage company at least 15+ years ago CARBONITE. They also have one if the best antivirus server backbone systems next to TrendMicro.
Good find!

Ive got it running on my Iconia and Arc, very helpfull!
I wouldn't recommend Dropdox because of the recent security issues it had ..!
Just trying out Asus web storage, seems good so far and has some very reasonable unlimited packages! A few typos though, they could use a spell check!
I started using SugarSync: 5GB for free
Click on this referral link and you and me will get an additional 500MB resp. 10GB if you sign up for any paid plan.

Pardon my ignorance, but what makes google drive better than my Dropbox account with 16gbs?

Nothing really. Unless you have a burning desire to put everything under your Google account.
At this time, Dropbox is actually a better solution as a lot of third-party applications already work with it. Until Google Drive functionality is adopted by these apps, Google Drive is of little value to me.
I agree. Unless it has some amazing new integration with Android, i'll just stick with Dropbox. It already works so well with android, plus the new auto-upload feature. Not seeing any reason to switch.
Microsoft sky drive is better too since it has same desktop app like drop box that syncs everything and you get to keep 25 gigs if you signed up for it originally otherwise 7 gigs.

I've got a buddy at work that's a hardcore Windows Mobile fanboy and has raved about the Sky Drive. Does it integrate with Android though? I couldn't find a way when i looked into it a few months back.

I agree with you about sky drive, but correct me if I'm wrong, it does not support android or has an android app.
No, but with lte through Web browser it's not so bad.

Here you go guys. This is the comparison chart, and its confirmed sky drive does not supported android.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/skydrive/compare
o yes just so you know google has a sync app for windows just like dropbox and skydrive.
I agree with above. When and if Google drive receives the same leave of 3rd party support, then I'll leave drop box. Google drive reminds me of the hacked app gdrive from back in the day that took advantage of a JavaScript bug in gmail and let u use it as a personal online storage

Google Docs has been around for a while, you have a 2gb limit. It was said to be Gdrive back when it came out. I guess they redirect you there to the meantime, until Gdrive is opened up to all.
Google docs is now google drive. Its updated to 5gb. Also has a pc app that functions like dropbox.

cant download zip files to phone yet though.... although apks work...
It's taking a long time for Google to prepare my Google drive. I'm on the grandfathered 20gb plans not sure if that's delaying the activation.
Update: Lol 1 min after my post Google emailed me my drive is ready. Took around 12 hours from initial request.

I think we can assume it will simply drop down to the default value and you will loose everything on there, I think we can also assume you will get warnings from dropbox prior to this informing you it is going to happen. To keep you're 50 gig you'll have to start paying.
I am guessing you either pay or lose it, up to you.
I wouldn't worry about it just now, because people's data is valuable I would imagine dropbox will email when it's going to end, so you can transfer files to your PC.
Also because the files are synced across devices they will be in your phone and PC (if you have dropbox installed) so they should be safe.
They will not be allowed to delete your data without your saying.
You can still use the space just can't add anymore.

Do you have your only copy at dropbox? Nahhh, it syncs your local storage right?
So you always have one copy locally.
Greetings.......

You can set it to sync or not, I sync as I don't use it that much.
hope they allow use to keep the 50GB if nt more then 10 millon ppl is going to complain
In 2 years 50gb will be nothing special. So they will probably let you just keep using it and offer something bigger and better like 1TB or 10TB for small payment.
Remember when gmail was announced with 1GB storage? Everyone could not believe that they will give away all that space for free. How times changed.
As far as I'm aware, whatever of the space you have used will remain until you remove any items from Dropbox. As you remove stuff, the 50Gb will drop accordingly. Don't quote me on that, but I'm sure I read that somewhere!

Account space will freeze u wont be able to upload unless you pay monthly or whatever and wont be able to share those uploaded links but only account holder can download their own stuff.

I think after that you have to pay

For sure, dropbox will not delete ur data. Maybe just unlink ur fone from ur account, and keep ur data synced on ur pc. THAT'S INCASE they consider losing their customers.

By then Skynet would have taken over and cloud storage would be the last of your worries.
They l warn you b4 its getting over...
You can still use the stored data, but add nothing more until you remove the files taking the added space.
But isn't there a max time for your things to be stored? Like after five years of inactivity everything will be deleted?

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much. The world is supposed to end by December 2012 and you'll still have 1.5 years left on you Dropbox storage. So, it's all good! :good:

App Request

Okay I am not sure if this the right place to start this thread, moderators please feel free to move it.
But more importantly the app I am looking for is a app which can control the bandwidth each app uses in the phone.
Why am I looking for this app.
I use a 1 gb 3g Internet package and I use Tango to video chat with my gf. Due to this tango sucks like 500 kbps and I run out of Internet juice very early. Now the thing is tango works fine with 50 kbps too. But how do I control how much bandwidth tango takes.
Please note I am not looking for the app to tell me or warn me of my usage but to limit it as in if my 3g gives me 5mbps I want to cap it at 1mbps.
So any one knows a app that can do this please reply.
Also I have exhausted my Google and xda search skills for 2 days looking for something like this but seem to have no luck. Hence this thread.
Thanks

Anyone?

I have spent a almost 12 hrs now looking for a app that does this and still getting nowhere. The closest I cam was a app that let's u decide which app uses 3g and which uses wifi. That is nothing regarding limiting my Internet speed.

Droidstats pro can do it. But you have to pay $$.

Thanks but Droidstats premium doesn't have any features to set the cap on bandwidth.
