Hi, my friends i9300 has Android 4.0.4 Baseband:I9300BVLE4 , Build:IM76D.I9300BVALE4 and at settings->about device there is no "software update".How can I upgrade his phone to 4.1.2 or other official ROMs (without ROOT)?
Please read the faqs and guides all the information is posted .
Use Kies to update .
Baseband is not firmware .
Official roms do not require root to upgrade see faqs and guides .

Hi there new to the forum so if this thread is in the wrong place please move it for me XD.
My question is...
Just got an S2 of my mate. he has updates it to baseband I9100XXKI3 which he says is a new beta firmware. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware to the official uk release as i don't want to use beta as i'm not too tech savy?

Personally i would stick with what you have many custom roms are using KI3 firmware no problem .
Easier to do that than downgrade .

Or wait for your provider to update and while you wait you can read all the faqs and guides posted on XDA .

Hi i have a guestion for the current Stock Roms.
Current i use a non stock Rom:
Version:4.1.1
Band:I9300XXDLI5
So my question now is if i connect to Kies or press the update check button inside the phone i got a message like : Your Device is changed no Updates available for you.
Is there a Stock version in german and with 4.1.1 and kies update support available? At moment i am a bit confused about the CSC wich version i should take. I hope my Question is not too much noob like ... so please answers me.

Use CHECKFUS to download any stock rom and flash via ODIN .
Alternative a Samsung/Kies forum or service centre .

hello guys ,i have finally decided to root my galaxy s3 I9300 ,and i need a little help ,i don't have any carrier on my phone .
I'm using 4.3 firmware baseband I9300XXUGMK6
CP:I9300XXUGMK6
CSC: I9300COAGML1
build number : JSS15J.I9300XXUGMK6
I need the firmware with root if is possibile and what rom do you recommend to flash via odin after .I guess i need odin v3.04 and samsung usb drivers . Thanks

Hello,i updated to Android 4.3 a few months ago but before the official update was released.I flashed a 4.3 firmware but it is too buggy and laggy,anyways, i'm trying to downgrade to 4.1.2 and then install the 4.3 update via OTA.I downloaded a 4.1.2 firmware and i am flashing it using Odin and it says it has been successfully flashed,however the new 4.1.2 system is not installed in the phone,it's still the same buggy 4.3 one What do i do ?

But if you downgrade you will end up with no network unless you read the faqs and guides first .
Plenty of excellent 4.3 rom on this developers forum .
Latest ML4 is excellent .

I flashed a 4.3 firmware and a 4.1.2 one via Odin,nothing changed,i already know the risks tho'.
