Hey guys, I'm coming over from the Sprint LGOG section but I just have a question. What causes the security error? I'm about to relock my phone (I'm fine with JB 4.1.2 until a solid 4.4 ROM is out) and was told that I can relock my boot loader with freegee. I tried that before but I got the error because I derped and did it while on an AOSP ROM. Now I'm on the complete stock ROM and decided to do it. I read that it was only if you uninstall Google apps...is that true or is it LG apps as well? I haven't removed any GApps and the one LG app I removed was the file manager but that was reinstalled by using the Application manager.
I hope you took the time to read this and I hope someone can answer my question.

iirc, uninstalling Google and/or LG apps will cause the security error. Need to use lgnpst to get back to normal. Even though you tried to reinstall the app, it looks like it didn't get registered back in hence the security error.

You need to hop on irc channel #lg-optimus-g so you can get the needed app/files. You need to use lgnpst to get it back to normal. I think there is a help thread on here that has more info if needed.

Where can i download lgnpst i been searching all morning. i tried dowloading de lgnpst v1.3 developers version but i cant. Can someone pass me the link.
i already have the firmware.
excuse my english
We can't post it here due to copyright conflict. It's a violation of xda rules. You need to follow mikeylikey instructions to go to the irc channel. They can furnish you with the requisite software and instructions regarding its implementation.

But i can´t root it, just because I only can see de img extracted form .kdz file on the folder when it got´s locked and start to be used to flash... Is there a way to create a kdz file with this modified system.img.ext4 ? What can I do to be more lucky to root this phone?
Thanks!

The computer should just have LG drivers installed.Run the script and select the 2nd option-special. Don't forget the two lines when the phone boots the 2nd time.Read the thread thoroughly ,this tool works,it worked for me with same version 10j.
Use this modified one

Hey,
I tried that old-school a lot of times and finally I could root it. When I saw "lg keyboard has stoped", I really knew that finally worked. The strange thing is that the system haven't came with a superuser app, so I installed "superuser".
Btw, thanks for helping. Around 0:30 (gmt -3) thr procedure got sucess, just few before your post. I thanked both your posts!

Looks like the devs are having trouble to unlock the bootloader, and thats why we dont have great roms like cyanogen for our phones. I hope that they can unlock it, not only for cm10, but overclocking tools too...

Seems like its complicated, at times we appear too close then again too far, does it mean the fellows at LG managed to lock their device in a manner that no one can find out ?

Maybe because of L7 isn´t a "best seller" cell phone, we have less developers to this cell phone... If Optimus was like a Galaxy SII, surely would have been unlocked...
I´m just waiting to the Jelly Bean update. I was a little lucky that my model isn´t from Brazil (brazillian model is p705f, with a very old actual firmware, like v10c), so I can put p700 or p705 newest firmwares, but i´ts a bit boring that we can´t go ahead in that phone customizing..
Hi everyone,
I just reset my phone through LGPNST, cuz I accidentally deleted the Rom trying to flash new Rom . I learned it the hard way cuz I had my phone stuck in recovery mode for a week.
Long story short I just wanna backup my stock Rom before I try to flash other roms. Can anybody suggest best way how to do it ?
Every reply is appreciated and thanks in advance,.

Do you mean TWRP? Just back it up in recovery (TWRP). However, if you are using the recovery that freegee installed, I'd download and flash a newer one from the development section. They create much more reliable backups.

Yes it's twrp which I downloaded from freegee . I tried to backup from the system but it said failed for some reason which I dont remember. As I told I'm kinda new to all this stuff .this is my first android device . So could you please send the link that you're talking about . Thank you for your reply .

Here's the link for the TWRP that has been developed for the OG: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2019662. I was able to flash this to my phone via the instructions within this thread. I'm a noob as well to flashing, so can't give advice beyond pointing you here.
Here's a link for Clockwork Mod for the OG, another recovery program: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010984
There seems to be a bit more development being done for the Clockwork Mod...

1st of all, wrong sub-forum. In development forum, there must be devlepoment. There is a forum specially for q&a. Not only that, but there is a whole forum for at&t.

Enabled USB debuggingon the phone before running the root tool?
Also, root only works on the 10c firmware I beleive. Some of the newer devices seem to be coming with newer firmware and you'll need to downgrade that in order to obtain root.

Make sure you have the lg drivers installed and have USB debugging checked on
I have t-mobile LG P769 L9 , I have rooted it,
it keeps asking prompting me to update from v20f to v20h and it downloads and restarts and it shows the android icon for repairing/update
then it boots normally, then after a few days it asks me again to update from v20f to v20h again.
whats the problem ? how can I stop it, or update it once forever?
Sorry I don't know who to credit the info too but I've stopped update notifs using android tuner under apps long press google.services.framework. select permissions then services. Uncheck system.updatesystemservice.

Do you mean Android Tuner by "3c"? I can't figure out how to follow your instructions on this app.

Yes in android tuner. Under apps section. Long press google.framework.services. option tab pops up. Select permissions. Then from there select services then uncheck
update.systemupdateservice
Tell me where your having trouble. You basically have to search for google.services framework which you can find in android tuners app manager. Long press for options.

is there any way that I could update to the latest version for real ? I would like to have latest version !
Offline flash method it's a thread by cmahendra. ..and version 20h is newest for t-mob. Not sure what you have. There also might be easier way if any one knows. Such as syncing phone with computer to lg and update latest firmware (software)(kdz) whatever I should call it.

Thanks for that! That annoying little reminder was always coming up and it wouldn't allow me to update without failing so I'm excited to not see it remind me again! Thanks!
