I don't think it will work however since it's odexed. perhaps a deodexed version would work better.
Have you tried ES Explorer?

[Q] Anyone plan on porting any roms to GT-I8160?

Hi, in april, Samsung released the Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160. In the past few days thanks to the user antsm, root was made possible.
I was just wondering if anyone is planning on porting any roms over to this device? It would be awesome!
Thanks
You gotta give it some time. It is still a very new phone. I got mine 2 weeks ago and I love it! From the posts in different forums I think there will be a pretty big user base soon and seeing that the Ace 2 already got root I am sure there will be many ROMs available in a few months
HEY!!!
Hey i was thinking to it... Can you provide me your stock rom somehow...
EDIT - please get me system folder of your rom
here are steps how to
1. download any terminal emulator from market.
2. open emulator and type the command with proper spacing as given below
tar -c system/* >> sdcard/system.tar
This will copy all your /system folder to your SDcard with name System.tar
so upload it somewhere and give me a link to it... personal message me...

Hi! USB-OTG (host) is possible on this device?
I THINK SO BECAUSE I SAW THESE LINES IN VOLT.FSTAB
# otg sdcard - Need to define path for /sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc when it supports USB OTG
#{
# ums_path = /dev/zero
# asec = disable
#}
#usb_mount sdcard2 /mnt/sdcard/usbStorage auto <Need to define path for USB OTG>

[Help]Swap internal to external SD Card.

Hi guys, so i'm having some problems with my SD card, i can't make my phone use my SD card entirely, i mean first of all the I/O sucks on this internal memory and it's too little, i can't even install 2 games like MC4 and WWZ. I wouldn't have come here if had not choice, i followed lots of tutorials that bricked my soft and had to reflash stock, so if any of you know any idea, it would be much appreciated, also i want to say that my phone it's rooted.Thanks in advance.

0. Make sure you have full root access
1. Install a terminal emulator app from Play Store
2. Open it and run this command: su
3. Give the app SU access
4. Run this command: dump_image boot <path to your sdcard>/boot.img
5. Upload the img somewhere for me to download

we need to try this with cards 64 or 128 Gb.

EMUI 9.1 EROFS Linux file system?

I am happy to received EMUI 9.1 to my beloved Mate 20Pro...
Please refer below mentioned link, so that you know what I am talking about. EMUI 9.1 converts your file system to EROFS, which is a big headache for me now.
====================================================================================================
Huawei announces the EROFS Linux file system intended for Android devices (XDA Article) CLICK HERE
====================================================================================================
Please share you views regarding this new file system EROFS (Extendable Read Only File System). How to make system as R/W, after rooting EMUI 9.1? I could't change anything to system partition. Root explorer or any similar app did't mount system as R/W, it stays R/O file system whatever command used in adb or terminal.
What are the advantage or disadvantage of this file system?
How to convert EROFS to ext4 or f2fs?
After converting EROFS to other file system do we get any update or flash future update?
Sharing is caring...Share your valuable thoughts here...:highfive:

Well at the moment no one answering my question regarding this topic. Hope experts can help in it. Wait what will come out next because we are not alone in this community.
One good news is you can still use EMUI Flasher Tool 1.1 by @OldDroid to update EMUI 9.1 future updates.
Thanks,

I hear something like you can use 10gb as 12gb. And benchmark score can boost up to 3 time. In conclusion, way more fast. As as they claim maybe safer?

Does not help on erofs mountpoint.
we have to convert to ext4 fs but latelly when i tried it, it will get stuck on bootloader, maybe bootloader needs to be disassembled and some bits disabled for check of erofs i have no idea tho..
EROFS is faster which means the OS and day to day usage of the phone will be faster and less demand on the battery
