[Q] Battery - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

For how long one should charge it for first time? Does it consume more while browsing? because it suddenly drops after search/download.

Discharge it to 0% (until phone shuts down) and then leave it charging 4 hours to be sure. It's important to make full battery charge/discharge at the beginning to get the maximum battery capacity.

What's the average time your G-Tab 10.1 takes to fully charge?

I leave on charger before going to bed, is this advisable? Would it affect the battery life if it's being charged for longer than required?

I don't think so, but if you want to be sure, you may just turn it off while it is charging.

from 1% to 100% it is about 5hours
to 100% - 5 hrs...
I notice that my tab charges faster or slower depending on what the tablet is doing. If i am using it, it takes about 1 hr for every 10%, if its on but screen locked it is about 1 hr for every 20%, and if it is off (but plugged into outlet) i notice it is about 25%-30% for every hour. But it depends on your adapter, power fluctuations and etc (lower voltage gives less amps if the power is not consistent)
Around 5 hours on standby mode.. Never realised during off screen charged.. I heard XOOM one charge faster than Tab..

Ask about battery

1. How much take time to get full charge from 0 to 100.
My deviCe takes 2h and 50 min almost 3 hours n urs?
2.for the first time for how many hours to charg3 the battery and the 2nd times how many hours we should charge the battery and after 3rd time how many hours to charge the battery thnx
??
When I first got the phone, I just plugged it in and charged AC until full (plus 30 mins) while powered off.
First full charge 4-100 (powered on) Approx 3 hr 22 mins.
Just on my 2nd charge now and waiting......
Just charge to full and done, best to not let the battery get to zero and force shutdown to prolong long-term battery life and performance.

I thought its a lithium ion battery and so it doesn't matter if you charge it even its not at zero. I always understood with this kind of battery it doesn't effect battery life.

Bad for battery health. Read link in my above post or research Google for more info.
Basically zero is bad, the less depth of discharge, the higher number of charge cycles etc.
Charging uninterrupted (no bump charging) from near zero to 100% will help with battery calibration though.
Hope this helps

[Q] New battery Help

My new extended 4300mAh battery arrived, i inserted it and when the phone boot up, it showed that it has only 3% power, so i put the phone on charger(stock one), the battery charged to 100% in like 2hours,30mins, same as the original battery, witch i think it shouldnt, it should took more time because the battery is bigger, and now even it was discharging fast, and fast as 1hour and 30mins on battery with 30mins of screen on to 70%, is this normal? (i mean for a big battery, because thats the time i get from my old used battery) Does it take the phone some time to adapt to the bigger battery or? Can i do anything to help it?

30 mins to 70%... dun sound to me like a good battery. Even my original gets btr than tat. Are thr any wakelocks?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
nope, every app is closed with greenify, also 4hours on standby took 15% battery, so 8 hours(one night sleep) will take 30%, thats one third of the battery(a 4300mAh one) in standby gone in one sleep :/
You have either a fake or faulty battery, return it. Charging should have taken double the time at least.

[Q] Battery Life Xperia Z2

Hello this is my first xperia smartphone. I'm impressed about the battery of z2 but I have question about battery life, I have auto brightness auto, Sleep 30 seconds, mobile data on, nfc off, Wifi Always on, stamina mode off. I looked into may battery usage and the screen usage is using 62 percent? When you charge your z2 phone is it necessary to make the battery turn to 0 percent before charging? Mine was I discharged it to 0 before charging it but when I read about the battery Li-Ion that it doesn't need to be discharged to 0 is this ture? .How to make the battery life of z2 last longer but not damaging the battery itself? Any tips? Thank you!
You shouldn't discharge your battery to 0%, never! Personally i never discharge my phone under 10%, when it is 14-15% i plug in the chager.
It's bad for your battery life to discharge it to 0%.

So I think I damaged the battery of my phone. After I read about that Li-Ion battery I never discharged my phone to 0. I have bad experience about my HTC One M7 I always discharged it to 0 and now when I fully charged the htc one m7 to 100 percent it will drastically go down to 92 percent after 5 mins.
Might be, so never discharge your Z2 to 0%. 10% should be the lowest.

Thanks buddy! But the screen usage of the z2 is eating the battery of 62 percent :crying:
I don't think so you damaged battery discharging battery to 0% once, moreover it was "user 0%", battery had some energy inside. So keep in mind that optimal for battery is work between 40 and 80% but of course it is not very convenient.

Wait.. obviously "Screen" usage takes up the most percentage on a phone because you're using it? Judge the battery overall when you reach from 100% to 15% or so.
I'm pretty sure you have no idea regarding the battery usage, you should take your time to read and understand it. :good:
60% used by screen is good, that means there aren't any apps in the background eating your battery

It is normal. The screen takes a lot of the battery. My SOT is between 60-70% battery drained.

Battery issues

I am using le Max 2 with 19s Indian rom x821.
My battery back-up is very poor.. It lasts little more than half day with full charge. Though it charges rapidly within 50mins but dont lasts.
More than 55% battery is consumed by screen. All other apps don't use much battery(1%-3%). I have enabled battery assistant and other battery tweaks which closes all background apps and all. My screen timeout is 15s and brightness almost 0. What should I do?? Is it software side issue??? Any help/suggestions??
And what about screen on time? Because it actually matters if you use it for 5-6 hours continuously or you'll use it for less than an hour within the period you stated.
The battery hog is the screen, this is normal. You have a 5.7 QHD screen, it's normal to consume more than anything else. If you keep the screen off and leave the phone on the table for 1 week, it will still have juice in it, that's why it's important to say how many hours of SOT you got.
