I'm very need your help with this one.
I have recently bought a Sony Xperia Sola, and since I've had it, there always have been network issues. What do I mean?
a) 2g/3g cellular data enabled, but every single application says "no network service" (even though the network icon appears without error in the status bar).
b) when I connect it to my home WiFi network (ADSL router), the device successfully acquires IP address and displays "connected" (the WiFi icon is being displayed without error in the status bar), but same thing here - each application says "no network service".
c) on the other hand, it does work when I'm using my second device (Galaxy Nexus) as an access point.
So to summarize:
looks like the problem is not related to my cellular company, because I'm experiencing problems with WiFi as well
this is probably not a hardware problem, because the network works successfully with tethering

The tab is working very good but one option which is it can not connect 3G for data browsing (Can not surf the net), after entering the settings--->Wireless and network, i found an option 3G data call settings dimmed so I cannot change the settings. I tried the Sim on my HTC it worked with no problems.
Please advise how I can use the 3G on the Galaxy Tab, I worked on the 3G at Korea and there was no problems !!

We have the same problem and unit came from korea.
Set your apn settings if correct.
Download to the market 3g Auto connection it free. After you download. Change the connection mode to use direct mode. Check the advance setting to have wigget in home screen. And back to home. If you want on the 3g. Just on the 3g and they scan. Then back to home. On the wifi even there no wifi signal after 2 to 3 sec turn off wifi after that the 3g icon appears. That it. Now you can use your 3g. I hope that i help you. You can browes your net to your dolphin hd and other. Not on our original browser. Becouse our 3g call setting was disable and dimme.

Wifi won't turn on. I get a few seconds of "Turning on..." and always ends with "Error".

1) rebooting
2) live battery pull
3) factory reset
4) *#*#526#*#* (nothing happens)
5) freeing ram and internal memory
6) entering static ip settings
7) changing wpa_supplicant
Nothing worked. I'm still getting Error on turning on.
I looked at [*#*#4636#*#* > Wifi information > Wifi Status ] and it says "Supplicant state: UNINITIALIZED". Could it be that it's something wrong with this wpa_supplicant thing?
How do I fix the damn wifi guys, please help.
And if you know any other service codes for alcatel ot-908 please share. I keep hoping that there is a magic one like *#*#526#*#* which solved wifi error for some people on other phones.

Hi. I've done something stupid xD. When i tried to flash kernel to stock i didnt exclude baseband and now i have (no service) problem. In about phone shows baseband version 2.1.71. Whats more interesting, phone finds network operators normally but when i try to connect (phone dont connect automatically :/) shows "your sim card doesnt allow connection to this network". I reached my trial and error boarders with this problem.
My SGP521 having now formal most recent Sony build 23.4.A.1.200 Android 5.1.1 flashed with Sony Companion does not provide MAC (b4:52:7e:98:2f:0a) and IP adress to the WiFi and Bluetooth menu anymore, though no WiFi and no Bluetooth. I have flashed several older FTF builds for SGP521 down to 4.4 kitkat using flashtool 0.9.19.8 and problem still exists. I have run a factory reset, no solution. I have run the service nr

have searched in many forums and couldn't find a solution yet. Is that a hardware issue? Fact is, that th WIFI and Bluetooth module does not start up and in the advcanced setting to WiFI either the MAC nor the IP adress is shown available, fields are greayed out.

I have an interesting case which never happened before. I have got a smartphone Alcatel 5 with Android 7.0. Sometimes when my phone is connected to the wifi the whole network stop working with the message "No internet connection" (on all connected devices). I was thinking that the problem is from the ISP, but the internet access is back when I disconnect and connect my phone and also this happened at 3 different places with 3 different routers. The solution is always the same - to reconnect my phone. The phone is with the stock build with the latest system update and not rooted.
