[Q] Turning on phone - AT&T LG Optimus G

I wanted to ask does anyone have the problem of turning on their LGOG E970 and you have a custom rom flashed, but its like the boot image for it doesnt pop up when you just press the power button. Like this is what happens for me, I press the power button, then the LG logo comes on, then the screen stays black and it will continue to remain black. Then if i do it again and (i'm lucky), I press the power button and then the LG logo comes on and then I press the power button again at the right time, then the ROM's logo (which is just android, using the new SlimKat ROM) comes up and then I can use my phone. That shouldnt happen right? Is there any fixes?

ComRom Q: have to press power button 2x to turn off screen.

hello,
comrom 2.0 - otb with stock voltages - ED04.
regardless of which lock screen I use, or whether I use pattern unlock, when I try to lock my phone and shut off screen after use (with single press of power button), the screen goes blank then immediately lights back up to the lockscreen. then I press power again and it goes black for good.
otherwise my phone behaves very well. any ideas? sorry if this was discussed elsewhere, been following development of this rom reasonably well over time and habent seen this discussed.
one thing I noticed is that if I press power or vol-down to turn screen on - but don't unlock and use the phone - then press power to shut screen down again - screen goes out and stays out. no double press needed unless I was actually doing something with the phone.
thanks

[Q]Can't boot into recovery/download menu

I've tried everything to get my unrooted WiFi Tab to boot into recovery mode. I hold down power and vol down, see "Samsung Galaxy Tab" and then...I'm expecting to see the Odin/recovery menu. Instead, the screen goes black and shows the "Samsung Galaxy Tab" logo again. And again. As long as I hold down he power/volume buttons, it does this. When I stop holding them down, it boots normally. How do I get to the recovery menu so I can finally root this thing?
Keep holding the vol button after you let off the power.
Thanks, I feel like an idiot once I figured it out. I didn't realize I had to let go of the power button once I saw the logo.
I am having the same issue. I am using a Verizon LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It is the 16GB gray model. The baseband version says i905.03 V.EL01 or SCH-I905.EL01 and it's running Android 3.2. Not sure what else you need. Here's what I've tried.
Scenario 1:
1. Powered the tablet off.
2. Press and hold the power and volume down buttons.
What happens: Nothing. It just sits at a black screen and I never see the Samsung logo. I have to let go of the volume down button, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds, let go of the power button. Then the tablet boots normally.
Scenario 2:
1. Tablet on and sitting at my home screen.
2. Press and hold the power and volume down buttons.
3. Once the Samsung Galaxy Tab logo shows up, I let go of the power button and only hold the volume down button.
What happens: The tablet boots like normal or it boots into Safe Mode.
So what am I doing wrong? I don't understand why I can't get into download(Odin) mode.
have the same issue, but i can go into recovery.
i need to ODIN to have the new CMW installed. tried a lot of things (adb reboot download.. normal 2 buttons boot.. ) and i always end up with a charging battery screen or get black screen and the tablet refuse to start again for few seconds.
anything else I can try?
thanks

never mind, looks like i was releasing the volume down too quick :/

[Q] Can't power down phone when stuck on splash

Ok so since I can't remove the battery how do I power down the phone after a bad flash and I'm stuck at splash screen. When I hold down power button the capacitive buttons flash then everything turns off but when I let my finger off of the power button the phone turns back on and process repeats. My phone is sitting here burning the battery stuck on the screen because I can't turn it off.

When the phone turns off immediately hold volume button. The phone will boot in bootloader. Choose recovery, click power button. Then do a full wipe, flash different rom or do nandroid.

"Correction" Vol-Down

[Q]Photos, Don't know which android tablet i have and it's stuck at 'Android' screen.

Update - While holding power button and volume up then letting go of volume up after
2 or 3 seconds while both screen black or on first boot screen for a nano second I
get a standing up android with blue atoms going around it's stomach. then goes
onto the lying down android with red triangle. Will I need to insert an sd card with some
kind of software downloaded on it for this whole format to work?
Here's all the problems. Woke up in morning and tablet chose to be stuck on 'android' animated(shine effect going across 'Android')
boot screen. I have made no modifications to the files etc, just stopped working.
To help you maybe know what tablet i got here are the two boot screens:
(Well i would post images if the forum didn't have silly restrictions on it)

Anyway looked all over the net and the seen power button & volume key and it doesn't work. Here's what I get and what i tried.
#1 (tried both volume key plus and minus button)
Hold volume and power button until first screen
appears then next let go of power button but still holding
volume key just goes and get stuck at 'android logo' screen.
(I have also carried on holding power button through to second load screen too.
But! Holding down power button and volume up button until 1st screen with tiny
little android in circle then releasing power button takes me to the green android lying down
with red triangle
#2 (tried both volume key plus and minus button)
Hold power button until first screen appears
then next hold volume key and still holding
volume key but release power button just goes and get stuck at 'android logo' screen.
(I have also carried on holding power button through to second load screen too.)
Basically to cut it short I have looked via google search and come across plenty of forums
and tried to access the screen which lets me format the device but so far has become uncessesful
I hope the images help you know which device I have and also the photo of the tablet it's self to help you know
(it has no buttons on it except the power and volume key and has no small(tiny) or big reset button to press
from what I can tell.
(Again i would post an image here too if it didn't have silly restrictions)

made an update.
Can someone help please

Problem with power button

Hello to all,
I have a strange problem with power button. When I press to see If I have a notification, screen turns on. I press it agai to switch off the screen, switches off and then switches on by itself. When I press again the same button, it appears the shutdown menu. This sequence (automatic screen wake ups even I have the power button pressed before) happens all the time. I tried to press very fast the button. After some time it stopped respoding. I did this in order to see how it behaves and if it's a button problem, but it seems a software one
WT19i, rooted, stock .567 ROM, no set-cpu or similar programms installed
Thanks in advance
