I had almost the exact case for my N2 that I paid $60 for because it was also all aluminum but I didn't notice any signal loss nor did I drop calls so you should be good!

That's is an awesome looking case. Looks similar to the neo hybrid by spigen but with a real metal bumper. Love it. Here's the link .

I love the look, but I had this for my Note2 and it killed my LTE. No more metal cases for this guy.

The look is amazing, but a thread a few weeks back about it said there was a bar or two signal loss. Such a shame because it's such a beautiful case.

nice looking case, its missing a hole for the small s-life sensor (like the now fixed UAG)

It would be nice if the added a kick stand to it.

Had the kxx aluminum case w which was very similar. My LTE speed for reduced to half and honestly although the case looks cool and all, it made the phone heavy and slightly difficult to hold. I'm back to my slim armor
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

It looks nice but will attenuate the signal!
Also if you drop the phone, even from a modest height the aluminum will ding and look nasty. $60 is a lot to spend only to wind up getting it messed up and realizing you're killing your signal (which will reduce battery life) and it winds up sitting in a drawer...

Ballistic Galaxy Phone Case

Hey guys
I have ordered a Ballistic phone case for my Galaxy S II. At first I was like this case is gonna suck. I work as a bouncer in a night club on the weekends and needed something that was gonna work and they were all out of the otterbox at the store I went too.
All I have to say is the case is amazing. After dropping it a few times and getting roughed up at the club the phone has survived without a scratch. I would recommend this case if you wanna check something out if otterbox is out of stock.

Sorry if my message is a lil strange I am on some major meds from being sick.

they do look ugly. i bought the blue one and it doesnt look that bad. the bumpers on the side work amazingly well for something like it is.
I've got the blue... I stopped using it because it is way too bulky... And i don't wear skinny Jeans

I got a red and black one for my work phone. Don't really care about ugly but wanted to protect it. One thing I've been looking for is a case with a lanyard attachment of some kind. I ended up using a hot needle to poke all the way through both the red and black and fished regular lanyard type nylon through, attached that to a small clip that is between the phone and black. Voila!
Sure I may look like a dork with this hanging from my neck but I haven't lost, dropped or forgot my phone yet since.
Got mine yesterday and I love it. I often don't remember to pull it out of my cargo pocket before putting on my bunker gear. While I'm not worried about it getting wet because of the gear, I thought the phone looked quite a bit flimsy. Now, I don't worry about it. The screen stays next to my hip, and the shell protects the phone from flex.
+1 from me

Got mine in Black. I Love this case! Great protection (as good as otterbox)
The thing I like the most is the feel it gives the phone in my hand. Without the case, the phone feels too small and fragile.
Looks intense. I'm sure that's just as effective as any otterbox lol.
Is it bulky like the otter cases? That my biggest issue but the protection is what really matters..

It does look kinda big...
Had an otterbox on my captivate, the defender series, have the ballistic on my sg2. The protection is, if anything, better than the otterbox, but it is nearly as bulky.

I have a red and black one it is a bit bulky but I work in a warehouse was very hard concrete floors and heavy machinery and I A lot safer having this case on I think in some ways it is better than the otterbox

I had one of these (both models) for my infuse. It's actually a funny story. On my drive from San Diego to Montgomery we (my wife and I) stopped in Lubbock, TX. We (meaning she) decided new phones were necessary. I found 2 brand new in box infuses on craigslist and bought them (it was quite a feat to get to town late at night, find a hotel, get internet, get on craigslist, find 2 of the same phone, go buy them, go buy dinner, sleep for a couple hours, get back up, and drive to Alabama). Anyways, both were brand new and came with a ballistic case.
Yeah yeah, off topic but I had to tell somebody.
On topic, I like the ballistic case. It sure provides good protection. I'd like to try the trident aegis sometime though.
I just got one 2 weeks ago and it's a great fit, got the black/red.

I received one of these cases when I purchased my Galaxy S II about three weeks ago, and thought I'd do a quick review.
The case is definitely bulkier than the phone. I've found that to be a good thing overall, as it makes it easier to grip and makes the whole thing feel more solid.
The rubber is definitely high-quality. I've dropped my phone a couple of times, and it's been as happy as a lark. No complaints there. The corners are rounded outward and act as bumpers.
In addition, I used the rubber as a spot to grip the phone with my teeth when my hands were full trying to unlock my door earlier.
The holes for the camera, headphones etc are plenty large.
The button covers for the power/lock and volume buttons extend out quite a bit, which makes them easy to find and use. I haven't had too much of a problem with accidentally bumping them, even in my pocket where I routinely turn on any flashlight I happen to be carrying.
I have the Ballistic case and the otterbox commuter case, I find the commuter case to be the better one, looks much better, feels better in the hand, and looks like it should provide enough protection for my phone
Best case out there for I777, although a bit to big lol it's great protection for our phones.

Plastic and Aluminum Aftermarket Battery Door

Purchased this replacement battery door from Amazon.com for $13.99...Because it's an aftermarket product, my initial concern was that it was going to look cheap and fit poorly; boy was I wrong. Build quality is quite good, and surprisingly, it fits rather well. Due to the thick aluminum plate, the battery door is quite solid and rigid, and adds a slight amount of weight to the Galaxy S II, giving the phone a nice feeling in the hand. (I always thought the Galaxy S II was a bit too light, giving it a cheap feel). Another added benefit is that it looks great, and adds contrast to the all black color of the phone.
As you can see in the pictures, the aluminum has a laser etched, carbon fiber pattern with a shiny mirror finish, with Samsung engraved at the bottom.Quite attractive in my opinion. Having a mirror finish does make it a fingerprint magnet; although it doesn't bother me that much. The battery door does add a very slight (less than 1mm) of added thickness to the phone. This does not interfere with it fitting into a case. I'm using a Casemate Pop case, and it fits just fine.
This battery door does not interfere with cell signal or GPS signal in any way whatsoever. Because it's mainly aluminum, it also acts as a heat sink somewhat. I strongly recommend getting this battety door. It's much better than the cheap, paper thin door that comes with the phone.
Overall, I would rate this product a strong 9/10 for quality and a solid 10/10 for design and asthetics. You can get this directly from Amazon.com for $13.99 plus shipping.
If you type "SGH-i777 battery door" in the search window on Amazon, it will bring this up in the search results.

Thanks. I could not get that to come up last night no matter how I tried searching.
Tempted to get one. Just not sure how much a fan I am of the design. Contemplating this or just a brushed aluminum back cover in black.
I also ordered this battery door. I wasn't sure about the design either but it really looks great. To me, the SGS II was too light, and made the phone feel cheap. This battery door adds a small amount of weight, making it feel more solid. It also gives the phone a distinguished look and doesn't look like a cheap plastic device anymore. 100x better than the thin, cheap plastic battery door that comes with the phone.

Both the aluminum phone cases I tried messed with GPS badly. I would be curious as to how you are so sure that it doesn't and what tests you used.

It's not a case, it's a battrry door, and I can assure you it does not affect the radio signal or the GPS reception at all. Not sure what you mean by tests, but I am able to get a GPS lock in about a minute or so in my house, and a lock in my truck in under 30 seconds. This might sound crazy, but I've actually noticed a slight improvement with radio reception. With the stock battery door, I averaged 1-2 bars in my house. With this aluminum door, I'm averaging 3-4 bars. I've also noticed that my phone stays a little cooler too. Aluminum is great at disappating heat, acting as a heat sink. I'm ordering another battery door as a back up. That's how much I like this door.
My friend has the brushed aluminum version and its pretty ugly. The mirror finish version looks fantastic.

First impressions is that there was a lot of thought put into this case. It is well crafteed, and adds good protection. I love the semi transparent back. Not bad for $10, it will hold me over until I find a sview cover.
I have the solid black on the way. After midnight the price drops to 1.75 + ship on Amazon for the solid black case. Any appreciable lip designed into the case to protect the screen and the camera?
Yeah, I picked up two Black/Black ones for 1.77 each. Pretty solid case for the price. I've dropped it a couple of times from various heights and I've had no problems so far. I would definitely recommend this case.
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The camera protection is actually the nicest touch. It is just slightly thicker then the camera, and the case has a nice reinforced band around the camera. The there are two small ridges that protrude out of the back that are good for grip and make sure nothing touches the camera.
I'm actually looking at lanyards which this case is compatible with. Nice to have for peace of mind. :good:

I have a price watch on it and it only has happened once in the past week while I was sleeping. I missed it, but haven't gotten any more notifications after that.
I put up a review on the grey and clear supcase the other day and noticed the case does not have a cut out for the video microphone on the top of the phone next to the headphone jack.
The case looks great but how did you installed Lumia on your Note 3? Is your phone rooted? If not, what kind of app is that?

Here are som pics of reallife note 3 with this metal case
its with a tempered glass screen protector allso
Signalstrenght and everything is the same as before, did not notice anny signalproblems 3g, wifi 4g and so go on
I like it
Kinda looks like the hunter f case they made for the note 2.

Not trying to be that guy, but from the pic you provided the phone is using wifi but its roaming so do you actually own this case and is that roaming from the case? Every aluminum case I have seen posted here or any other phone accessory section on XDA has signal loss.
It looks nice but there's no way it doesn't degrade the signal strength.
Don't bother. I bought one of these from ebay a couple weeks ago and it degrades your signal by 1-2 bars. It was night and day.. the minute you took it off your signal went up.
I also used this case for two days and it went to trash due to horrible grip(very uncomfortable grip) and side bumper being not tight enough.
It does look cool though..

Reason is becouse im using Mycall and www.mycall.no is using Telenor as nationally roaming partner. As there is better coverage with Telenor then the phone shows R. Mycall does not have as many sites as telenor so im connected to telenor instead.
This is mine case yes lol, check my other threads about tempered glass screen GLASs-M.
I agree with you guys it does look good, but its slippery and can easy fall out of my hands. Thats the online down I can find of this

Im in Oslo,Norway.
I think it will create the signal problem......I want to buy a metal case for my N3 but the only reason I decided not to buy them is the signal problem...Is there anyone who can suggest a metal case for N3 which does not create this issue.....
I have this case. It looks great, except it makes the phone look thicker, like the neohyrid - which I don't like.
As for signal, it's fine in areas with good signal, but in areas with poor signal like my office it sucks - which is why I switched back to my Diztronic case. Not as pretty but does the job.

Found a tough case at a great price

Got this case off of EBay delivered for $32. It's called a PEPKOO ULTIMATE. I think Love Me and possibly another company makes some almost identical. They are aluminum with Gorilla glass screen protector, screws together instead of snaps like an Otterbox and doesn't get all the dirt and trash around the sides of the screen. I've been using mine for a month now and thought I would share my review of it. It's tough, cool looking and I have no complaints. Don't forget it was $32.
uhm, good!

You could have gotten it cheaper too on Ebay. It's the same case as the Love MEI series. Those are $23 on ebay.
Also your cell reception just took a dive by half because of the aluminum. I only use mine when I go snowboarding. The extra weight adds to my balance, lol.
I saw after I ordered it about the s-pen complaints and I don't have any trouble. I'm always somewhere the signal is great so that hadn't been an issue. I would have loved the even cheaper priced one but compared to an otterbox, This case is king. I've had an otterbox for every phone I've had in the last 6 years, starting with a blackberry and had to constantly take it apart and clean dirt and dust out of it. I never have to do that with this one. I stand firm and recommend this case or an identical copy over otterbox any day. If I paid $ 40 I would still be satisfied.

Yeah I definitely recommend it to anyone who can put up with those things. I like the comments I get when I whip it out(no pun intended). People always ask in amazement if it's a phone and what phone it is. Then again I have the original model so it's even bigger than the new slimmer ones which I might get soon.

I just have a question, where exactly did you see this for so cheap? The only link I can find on Amazon is for $69:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00HFMUVG4/ref=dp_olp_new_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=new
I got it off of eBay. I work in the oilfields of West Texas and we have some rough weather, especially dust storms. With the otterbox I was having to take it apart every couple of days to clean the dirt and dust that would make its way inside it. Then the abrasive dust rubbing against the plastic screen protector would have it scratched up in a mater of a month or so. I haven't had to take this case apart yet to clean it and that dust isn't going to hurt the Gorilla glass. I put a couple screen shots of the add on eBay so you could see the seller and the product.
It's awesome

Nice yeah like It .
I'm sure it's a great case if your going to throw it down a mountain, but in my opinion it's way too bulky.
Bulk
If bulk is an issue, then I would suggest an Iphone, I think they still small enough to fit in a matchbox. But all jokes aside, it still easily fits in my back pocket and as I stated before, I need my phone protected from the elements. I never said this case would suit everyone but if you wanted a case that was built for hard core protection, I recommend this one. I have now had it for two months and I hope I can always get one to fit future phones.
How heavy is this? Do you have issues with sound? Have you waterproof tesed the case and how did it do?
Same here,
If a case makes my devices useless, well then it's useless. I can see the draw to a waterproof solution as I hit the lake often during the summer months and don't do much out there other than check things on the screen from time to time. But for that there are cheaper solutions, none of which I trust completely anyhow.
Lets hope that they up the IP rating on the note 4.

LoL this in is not the waterproof version. Its the water resistant version. Love Mei adds some water proofing in there. There is a difference this one, Lunatak's and Love Mei's. I think they all have the same base manufacture. My Dad has the Lunatak's case for the iphone, his signal doesnt take a hit, also it makes the phone feel like a brick. AND I really mean a brick.
You guys want real waterproof head over to the red pepper note 3 thread.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I had purchased a similar metal case for my Note 3 from Love Mei. It looks cool but I dont like it.
1. I made my phone to look big, almost the size of Tab 7.0.
2. Its non ergonomic for long time use, you'll not be comfortable holding it while text messaging.
3. Not to forget that it adds weight extreme weight to your phone. Trust me, you can't answer calls for more than 20 minutes due to its weight.
4. Since its a water proof version, the sound ports and receiver speakers are covered with thin membrane of some material (sort of rubber or plastic). Thats make the sound to be scatered and unclear
5. The glass protector will have the rainbow effect on screen when it touches the phone screen.
These points are based from my experience. I sold my case to another guy.
Currently Im with Trident Kraken AMS, and I love it to the max. It saved my phone without single scratches falling from the height arnd 6 feet.
