Ok, this is my first attempt to give something back to the wonderfull community that is XDA, so please take it easy on me.
First things first, ALL credit goes to evilisto for the original mod and how-to. All I did was apply it to our 3D's and made it flashable. You can find his thread and how-to HERE.
This will make the lockscreen have three ripples instead of the regular one. Here is a video of my setup running AOKP:
The mod replaces your framework.jar and framework-res.apk, so if you have any custom edits, this will erase those. PLEASE make a backup of these two files or nandroid before flashing. You shouldn't have any trouble, but I have to say it just in case. As always I am NOT responsible for any damage you occur from flashing these.
Now since this relies on framework-res.apk, it will be different for almost every rom, or version of said rom. So far the ones I have done are:
JoelZ9614's latest AOKP rom: DOWNLOAD
JoelZ9614's latest CM9 rom: DOWNLOAD
aaronpoweruser's latest AOKP build from HERE: DOWNLOAD
toastcfh's newest CM9 build: DOWNLOAD
I cannot and will not post the link to the build(not mine to give). but you can always visit IRC and see.
So please tell me if things work or don't. and if there is another ICS build that you are using that I didn't list, let me know and I'll see if I can pump one out for you.
I really hate to bump my own thread, but I'm assuming the people that have tried this(if any) got it to work ok?

Depends on which version you have, can you upload your framework-res.apk, and framework.jar? That way I know it will work for you. And if you could tell me which build you are running.
I'm on classicnerds ics & just checked & has it already. Crud...I wanted to fiddle with something lol. Nice work none the less

Welcome to PSX (Pure Speed X)
A collaboration between myself, rustyjay, and Banks. I bring the speed jay adds the features...and “QC” and Banks is the scriptmaster and lean Rom machine.
PSX is a fast, built from source (4.3_r1.1) Rom with an emphasis on speed and performance. Our goal is to provide unrivaled performance, stability, and a lightweight Rom with a handful of valuable features. We are not, nor ever will be focused on adding every feature out there. We will always be searching for ways to make it faster, more stable, more secure, and feature rich, but never at the cost of performance.
I want to thank all of those who supported me on this journey either through helping me learn, aiding me with issues, or testing for me. I especially want to thank @rascarlo for allowing me to post my builds in his thread for so long. He is a gracious host and the epitome of how a developer should behave and a thread should be run. I intend to do my best to follow his example in this area.
This thread will be a place of peace and community. We wont tolerate bickering, drama, or flaming of other members, whether seasoned or brand new. Not only will OT conversation be allowed, it is encouraged as I believe if fosters a better sense of community and an environment of sharing knowledge. Members will be treated with respect here and all questions will be answered to the best of our abilities in as timely a manner as possible.
Feature requests will be welcomed. We will however not add anything that compromises the goal of this project or is not deemed valuable to the Rom as a whole. Certain features will never see there way in including, but not limited to, CM PIE and Theme manager. Speed will always be the focus here with features taking a back seat.
Now sit back, enjoy yourselves, and oh yea........buckle up!

Had a look to the changelog, if I may ask, I see no trace of BT optimisation, "a la francaise".
Thanks for your work, really appreciate your OP and the words regarding OM Devs.
Will try ASAP

Edit: I intended CBARONNE ( actually a Texas member ) mod for BT, in General section

Thank you so much!
There has been some hard work put into this by some people that are just getting this down and still learning. I am surprised we actually got something put together, lol. Cause I smoke too dam much.
Wow. This ROM is exactly what I have been looking for....the best of heavily modded Roms with the lightness of aosp....slight customizations......one suggestion, a transparency slider in settings for nav and status bar. Other than that its awesome so far ?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Are you ruling out PIE in all forms here or specifically CM's iteration?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
One feature that i miss a lot on aosp based/minimal custom roms is the Theme Manager..
If i see a custom roms saying built for speed and stability and dont have theme manager, customizable nav bar, and customizable quick settings, its all the same for me, they are all stock roms, even if theres addition to some options.
I just want to ask; is adding theme manager support makes the whole rom slow and unstable?
Coz i cant find a right answer for me. Thanks.
I may try this rom soon if its different from other aosp (4.3) minimal roms here in xda.
Anyone having Google now issues?

Hi everyone! I am very new to android development and am basically learning as I go to see Miui, my favorite Rom running at full capacity on my atrix HD, as interest in the rom is very high, but interest in developing the rom is very low. So it;s left to me, an admitted noob, to see it done.
My question is, how do I cleanly integrate a zip file into a rom? Specifically I want to integrate Jeeko's pureperformances X zip into my rom. Miui on the atrix HD is very very bad for performance and battery life, but after flashing pureperformances X gold edition it works perfectly. I'd like to integrate it into the rom so that the extra step is no longer involved. I have asked Jeeko himself, but have recieved no answer, and without knowing him personally or sharing any development devices with him, I don't even know if he is active any longer. If someone could at least point me in the right direction to some information it would be greatly appreciated, as googling for days has led me nowhere. I have tried simply adding it to the zip file drag and drop style, but my users have reported that the current version has introduced more bugs than it has fixed. Any information would be awesome. Thanks guys!
Don't know what this is exactly but it may be as simple as adding it into your ROM and changing updater-script accordingly. You should look into how this mod is installed (what is added/changed and how its done)

So basically the meta-inf scripts need to be integrated together? (I could be wording that wrong, but I am only just now looking into how all that works. Do I have the gyst of it?)
Well not the update-binary, use the one from the ROM, and then add in the pieces from the updater-script in the mod to the one in the ROM and place files appropriately.
Now this won't always work as it depends on what the mod does and how it does it, if you get stuck feel free to post both updater-scripts and list the contents of mod and I can have a look when I'm near a PC, but for now try it yourself but make a nandroid first

Okay, yea that was basically what I was envisioning. I have absolutely no experience with the updater scripts and such, so I just don't know how to phrase it yet, but from what I've read so far that was what I expected. Basically the mod adds a bunch of optimizations to battery life and performance. A lot of build.prop modifications, which of course I could do manually, but the rest of the "engine" as he calls it might as well be magic to my knowledge lol.
Here is a link to the page if you'd like to read about it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360670. It really does help a lot. It is definitely not snake oil. I've had users going from 6 hours of battery life to 19 simply by flashing this mod. I'd just like to integrate it into the rom so that it's transparent to the user, and one less step. (and jeeko himself is cool with it, he gives permission in his thread). I will definitely give it a try myself before asking you to take a look at it for me, as this is a learning experience for me as much as anything else. Thanks a lot for the sense of direction!
Yeah no worries, the build.prop is easy to edit as you noted, just do it in Linux or notepad++ if using windows. Same goes for the updater-script
Check my threads for a link on making update.zips, its not finished (as I'm lazy er busy) but it may help a bit
You'll have to see if the other files the mod adds/changes can be simply done in the updater-script or not, more than likely they can
Best of luck!

I've started creating a ROM from aosp source and I would like a bit of help please.
I would like to upload my ROM source to github a bit like the CM, AOKP, OmniRom, PA etc so that others can download and build upon it.
Could someone please give me a quick guide or at least some pointers on how to upload my whole source to GitHub? - At present it is just the AOSP source with some modifications but it will start to get very customised so I want to upload the full source so that nothing gets messed up or lost when someone else wnats to build it.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
Thanks from the open source community. I'm in my phone right now, but I'll edit this post in a bit with an explanation

I'm just decide to create this thread because comunity for our device isn't very big.
That means if we want make some progress on it, we need to team up.
Few folks ask for rom build howto.
I just push few tools and wrote some hints into wiki.
https://github.com/puresoul/androidbuilding
So if somebody got and idea or like to start some rom hacking for d605
this thread would be best for discussion about that.
Edit: I'm reading through XDA, this is really good writen doc.

thats great, for now with my builts of android 5* I got problems with SElinux, I don't ever used it on my servers and can't get even audit2allow to work...
Thanks, i got some my hacks ( few os.system(script.sh) at build/tools ) to automate rom builds. Do you used to makefile scripts?

Ok, so here is what I tried.
Multirom - Stuck at porting hardboot patch to kernel. Achieved some kind of dualbooting by symlinking part of fstab (userdata and system) to cache and properly loading it at init scripts. This but won't work with cm12, so now using recovery partition to boot cm12 at emmc and boot partition to boot cm11 at sdcard.
AOSP 4.4.4 - Strange issues at building qcom hw sources, after some dirty patching wont boot. Stuck at bootanim
AOSP 5.0.3 - Same weird bug as CM12 if setenforce 0 is called. Stuck at bootanim because of incomplete sepolicy
AOKP 4.4.4 - Stuck at bootanim because of libs exceptions
Omnirom 4.4.4 - Works but having some bugs, apk won't install properly.
CM 11M 4.4.4 - Works best for now
CM 12 5.0.2 - After Varcain released devicetree source, builds and boots ok. But got still problem with modem/radio and selinux (if disabled, immediately kernel panic appears )
My opinion is that you should focus on improving roms that already work. By that i mean cm11, paranoid or omnirom. Of course, lollipop would be great but i cant see it working in the near future.
Ive been using the omnirom, since you PMed us for beta testing and i must say im impressed by the smothness and how it works generally. I dont really use omni switch, it just works best in my experience. Plenty of free ram, enough costumization by default and few other tricks make this rom my daily driver. With app libs taken from cm11, ive got a perfectly usable rom.
Some kind of Frankenstein with paranoids overclockable kernel, cm base with theme support and omnis dynamic status bar (works much better than any xposed module) would be a keeper. Dunno if its possible but id like to see a rom like that in future.
That's the kind of feedback I've looking for. On overclocking I'm with Varcain, that d605 is alredy overclocked. Now I testing compiler optimizations and outcome looking good.

Sorry for interfeering here, but i have you one suggestion for you: add IR support, because that what most of people want.
BTW, today i saw, that vercain wont update anything on this device, because he bought M8, so good luck for you guys

yep, thats true. Ok, so IR is another thing I look at

Hi puresoul_cz!!!
I just found this using google...indeed, the community of d605 users is really small
So, I am happy to see somebody, who is trying to get these people together, as I am an owner of this phone as well.
I would be glad to join you.So far, I only have experience with app building for android.
PM me, and I'll give you my google mail adress, so we can discuss this further
I am from Rimavska Sobota, Slovakia by the way....

So what's new.
I've clean up useless apps from cm11 rom, change Appolo music player by MusicFX. Set up compile optimizations with SaberMod 4.8 toolchain. Few more free ram by cmdline optimization.
What's comming next,
Just start diging into IR driver. Some elementary work done by Varcain, but still don't know how to blink with it.
Porting stuff from stock rom and cleaning init scripts.
Using front cam as light/motion sensor to mimic some proxymity sensor features.
Sent from my LG-D605 using XDA Free mobile app
Best app for using front camera as light sensor is lux dash. Will be able to add more function to left special button like on stock?
Right now I don't know. For now it's just an possible things to implement. But still need ti dig in HAL and stuff around...

Hey pure, when you release the next version of omnirom?
so, my final decision was to base my work on CM11 source, clean up it from useless CM bloat and port only some apps from Omnirom source. Because the libs problem with rom I don't base my future work on that source.
And to answer your question, for now I think there is only few changes to release it and for now it needs some testing. I may build some testing release if someone like to try it.
