Hi friends plz post if found a custom rom and cwm for a55hd
its hardware is almost same as micromax a116
but custom rom for a116 and many recovery flashes got no success
i have lost its stock recovery and imei got invalid after flashing a cwm, that i have backed up before but not getting restore
please post anything valuable,,, developers help please,,
Hey bro, I also have A55 Hd and I have both custom recovery and stock recovery. If you need them then I would post them later in the evening. Custom Recovery is CWM 5x.x.
Check the attached link. It contains both original and CWM recovery for Videocon A55 HD..
[Suggested] Extract the files to the root of the SD card and install Mobile Uncle Tools[MUT] from Play Store..Then select "install recovery" from MUT and then select the appropriate recovery image(either original or CWM) then MUT would install the recovery automatically.

Also I would need a favor from you...can you please provide me the V-Store app that comes preloaded in the phone. I need this to complete my ROM, so that I can publish the original ROM so others can use it when required. When I first got rooted I removed this app.
I think you are already rooted. And if you have ever used Titanium Backup can you create a backup of V-Store app and post it to me. In case you are unable to post links in this forum you can forward it to my email - [email protected] ..

Power off your phone. Then press power button + volume down key. This would take you to recovery.

Drivers should have been loaded on the phone when you install it, at least for connection in normal mode. For fastboot and ADB, I don't have them either...

well i got the newer rom already, can root it using romasterv.3.1.0 but still, lenovo didn't update the rom seriously... the newest rom 2013-03-22 still got lots of bugs, can't login to google account

Thanx, i have downloaded firmware, but have troubles with Chinese romasterlab 3.2.1, what same part of menu you clicked for root? It will be very good if you make some screen shots or something like that.

I dont know about romasterlab 3.2.1 , i'm using 3.1.0
after the phone rooted, it will changes the wallpaper, and u got supersu inside the apps menu automatically

Rooted with ROMASTERLAB with the instructions given on page 1. It worked without any hassle
The speaker volume of this phone is very feeble (too low), though in headphone mode it is very good.
Installed Volume+ app, but no help. It seems the phone is having manufacturing defect or it is built this way.
What is your experience regarding sound in speaker mode?

I successfully rooted n flashed cwm mod recovery on these phone...
I didn t hve enough knowledge about porting rom...but i have li'l knowledge about rooting,flashing rom,cynogenmod.
I hve rooted my 6042D through vroot desktop app...
Our phone has kitkat version so its confirm we can only root it wid pc
Vroot can root ma mobile wid chinese root app....but it can change into supersu through these turtorial.....u can also find vroot download link there...
After rooting ur phone u can also flash cwm mod on it like mine....
I learn these method of generating cwm mod from IIN ( idea internet network)
I can share it wid u....

Please, upload an original firmware anywhere and PM me the link. I'll share it to the comunity with all the credits to you.
You know, for the last two months there was so many fakes about working firmware for this phone... I hope that you've got this one for real.
Did search facebook. The only group i found was "alcatelonetouchflash6042". There are people asking for the firmware, and no links to it.

When u want to flash recovery from flash tool.....
U jst need to turn off ur phone then u can flash recovery or etc.
So,non removable battery is not question
Or when phone got bootloop u can turn off phone by press and hold power button untill phone restart n when bootlogo appear 2nd time then screen off release button
Yeah ur phone will switch off although u got boot loop....
Then u can go to recovery by pressing volume down n power button......

Thx. I already saw that post but I didn't understand how to flash it. Mine is already rooted and it has CWM. Firstly I have to mention that I have a TCL S720 not an Alcatel, but it is the same phone as I know (not sure 100% but 95% sure) and I tried to flash the zip from CWM and it said Flash failed. Have I done anything wrong? Should I do it otherwise? Thanks.

Download the Rootgenius,search from google and install in your pc and connect your phone,be sure that usb debugging is on when you are connecting your phone to pc.One thing is that you have working internet connection on your pc because this root software download some usb driver file of few mb.You root your mobile in less than three minutes

I had seen the thread of Emotion Lollipop where @djdhiraj said the recovery is obsolete and isn't supporting ROMs.
So, after searching a lot I found nothing.
So,i ported a Philz Recovery For the doodle 3 (a102)
I also ported a TWRP Recovery , which worked well but later it my phone stopped booting .
I tried CTR too but no hope.
CWM did not work because MTK Droid Root and Tools gave an error - NO FIND KernalGZ , NO Split Boot Image
At last I tried the Philz recovery which works very good on the doodle 3.
This is PhilZ Touch Recovery 6 based on CWM 6.0.5.1
Recovery attached in the post.
You can flash this recovery.img through SP Flash Tools
Scatter File Download - its in the post's end (attached)
Also u can port your own recovery in the link mentioned in the notepad which is attached below.(Sorry I am a newbie so i cant post links directly)
WARNING!
THE SIZE OF THE RECOVERY IS 5.88 MB (fortunately)
Your IMEI might get affected!

Dear ashu.s4 note4.zip is working i tried it is working but it has some bugs rom keeps crashing after 30 mins but its ui is nice b/c of its crashing have return back to my stock KitKat rom if u want to install note 4 zip in philz recovery wipe data facory reset & wipe cache and donot wipe anything extra then install note 4 zip i am 200 percent sure it will work for 1st time it won't work for me b/c i have cleared whole partition of rom u dont wipe it it will work

I saw the package.......
The package had an update-script(Amend) and not an Updater-script(Edify) which all recoveries support.
Also this rom might not work beacuse the person who made this rom has just mixed all the files together.
I found this out when I saw there were 2 systemUI.apk in the folder priv-app and app.
Also as this rom is based on 4.2.1(As it says) has priv-app folder which is only present in 4.4 and above.
I don't think this ROM is going to work.
Also this rom was made by android kitchen.

Hai I tried philz recovery for doodle 3 it works awesome and I would like to add that u can also flash the recovery using the app FLASHIFY its available on googleplay and THANK YOU XDA

A warm hello this wonderful community.
Ever since I switched to android i have almost always trusted this forum for help and most of the time found what i was looking for.
This is my first post here.
I recently bought new LAVA Iris X8.
The phone works splendid and I love it. But I really wish to add more fun to it and install a custom ROM that can make the overall ui super smooth and also improve battery life.
Searched everywhere but could not find any custom rom or recovery for this device.
Please can someone provide me a custom rom.
I am only looking for a smooth ui and improved battery life.

Well.... I am on my way to do this myself... At least I think so right now...
Got info from here and some other websites...
I have built cwm recovery for lava x8 and installed successfully
Also installed PureperformanceX stock 1.4
Will soon post details and cwm recovery soon...

jus a little update:
I have rooted my Lava X8 wit h kingoroot
and
Installed CWM recovery using MTK Droid Tools...
Also need to rename file /system/recovery-from-boot.p" so that
CWM recovery is not automatically replaced by system during boot..
Everything is going good right now...
Looking to get Lollipop or some other good custom rom now....

Please share the processes you followed to install CWM custom recovery and install PureperformanceX stock 1.4. I would like to try that on my X8 which is already rooted.

Hi..
At least someone responded...
Well... You will need your stock recovery.img from your device... Get it using sp flash tools..
Then with mtk droid tools you can make cwm recovery for your phone...
I followed the tutorial on AndroidHow website with article titled "How to Make/Flash CWM Recovery Without Rooting". Just Google it.. You will find it...
Follow all steps and it works...

Yes CWM recovery works fine.. No problem until now...
But PurePerformancesX 1.4 didn't work good.. Instead I felt like phone was overheating...
Then removed it and tried latest FlyOnMod
This works wonderful....

Didn't find any custom rom...
I think the lollipop themed ROM for "intex 8x-1000" created by Tech N You will work but needs to be ported....

how to flash stock ROM on iris x8
I already tried everything. I have a stock ROM of iris x8 which I downloaded from need ROM but SPFT can't flash that stock ROM. Every time I switch off and connect my phone to the computer SPFT won't recognize it . also I was unable to create a stock ROM because of this. I have already rooted my phone but there is a problem with it. Every time I switch it off and turn it on , the root somehow disappears. I don't know what happened. Also my in app purchases won't work. I got frustrated and tried freedom but it won't work either nor lucky patcher will work. ( I checked that in app purchases are not disabled but still they don't work) . I also tried booting in recovery mode and even installed appps from play store to do so but I was unable to boot in recovery mode . I have already tried everything I could and really frustrated. Please provide me the exact steps you can go through to flash a stock ROM for iris x8 . also I would like to if it is possible to install CMW or TWRP in iris x8 .( if yes I would love to know the steps.) please help me.
Regarding the root disappear problem..
That happens because of the "/sysyem/recover-from-boot.p" file..
Just root once.. Use ES explorer to go to system directory and rename that file...
Root with kingroot or iroot...
Pls search before complaining... These problems already have solutions posted here...

I can't flash any ROM , not even CMW recovery because SPFT won't recognize my phone after I connect it in switched off state. Do you have any solution to that...????
Please provide a way to do that. I want to flash the stock ROM after the problem is solved....

In my case the solution which you provide doesn't work at all.
For 1st 2 weeks my root would not disappear even switching on / off but suddenly it started. Then root started to reset within hours.. Also the SUPERSU App was not functioning ( error : su binary not working on device above 4.3.3) :banghead:
I got scared and did a factory reset which solved the problem of root being reset every now and then ( it still resets after I switch it off /on .
But factory resetting brought a whole bag of other problems like in-app-purchase not working and also other apps which require root can't gain it because I can't install SUPERSU anymore ( error: failed to install su binary please restart your device and try again but it won't work even after restart.) ..
So I am stuck with default kingouser app which is not supported by many other applications ....
Can I be facing this problem because of factory resetting my phone without properly unrooting it..:what:

Today I was able to flash the stock ROM after updating the drivers
Also KINGOROOT was unable to root my phone so I found another solution.
There is a rooting app called KINGROOT ( kingroot.net ) . This app has both android app and a PC app. I was able to root my phone easily with their android app.
More interestingly its PC app directly installs CWM recovery. (PC app is only in Chinese :banghead: but the android app is in English.).
You can also search the KINGROOT in xda threads.

I too rooted with the kingroot app from pc( and thats what i suggested above) but it didnt install cwm ..
This is a place where you learn new things..
And the learned ones share thier knowledge..

Hlo gys gud to see u here... Recently my friend was successful to make a touch recovery for our phone... It is carliv touch recovery. Now i m working on rom one rom is successfully ported by me... I will share it soon.. I also have a fb group, named lava iris x8 development
Just wait for some days more..

As this is my first post on xda, I'm not allowed to add any outside links here.
You can visit my blog {thesuperdroid (dot) com} There is the link for Panasonic T40 recovery.img file. Download it from there.
And for flashing it on your device download Mobile Uncle tool apk from there.
Download both the files and copy it in the root of your sd card.
Install mobile uncle tool and give root permission to it.
Now click on Recovery Update.
It will automatically detect the recovery.img file.
Click on it. It will ask your permission to flash. Click ok.
All done. You'll boot into recovery. If this works for you, hit the thanks buttion.:good:
