Any Canadians flash stock Rom back with Odin? - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Has any Canadians with a i527m Odin in a custom recovery and root then went back to stock by flashing the factory Rom back in with Odin?
I'm concerted about any updates that are coming or warranty.
I just got a telus mega but the lexar 64GB microsd card keeps UNmounting randomly. I'm trying a 32gb lexar card now to see if it is a warranty issue(or just a cheap card issue).
I hate the 4.22 touch wiz Rom bloat so I want to root asap.

[Q] SD card destroyed, go back to stock?

Hey guys, Im running I think EC01 miui 1.9.2, and I had it like this for quite some time now and I loved the rom it was great, but until recently my phone kept giving me blank sd card notification, so I formatted it a few times every time it gave me it, but about 2 days ago after the last format it completely ate my card and now it just keeps giving me damaged card nofication. It wont format anymore, and I cant format in recovery either, I was wondering if I should go back to stock and see if that works or is my sd completely fried. Would going back to stock fix this or should i just get a new card? also should I stay with ec01 for miui?
you can go back to stock and try the sd card, but more than likely you will need to buy a new one for mtd roms...
Hey thanks for the reply, would you happen to know what best stock odin to go back to? I believe there are quite a bit I can go back to correct? Or will it update to the latest no matter which I go to? sorry about all the questions hahah..
DL01 is the bone stock one that you can OTA back up to current if you want. The ED05 odin package floating around works too, the only difference between it an OTA is it won't reflash recovery every boot. If you go all the way back to DL01 you'll still need to update the modem to use any current roms.
Going back to stock isn't going to make your SD card work though. Odds are extremely high your SD card is dead.

dl09 worked for best for me to do a clean install...then you can odin or flash back to whatever. I would pass on ota, that takes way too long imo.

Can't flash new ROM's

Hey guys, I come to you as a seasoned Captivate flasher but I seem to be having issues flashing anything on my wife's fascinate. She has been having some issues with Powerwashed 2.2 and I was trying to flash a current MIUI but the sd card will not mount from CWM. Is this a known issue with the fascinate? Come to think of it I had to flash this current rom via odin. I have never been able to flash ROM's from CWM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

yep its a known issue between stock sd cards and mtd based roms such as miui/cm7/cm9... some stock cards will work fine others bork and have wierd mounting issues. best bet is to purchase a class 6 or higher sd card.
I have a few other 1gb or higher micro cards floating around the house I'll try before ordering a new one. Thanks for the reply!

CM10 basic questions ?

1) I assume going back to stock would be risky after this is flashed ?
2) Currently rooted 1.43 16 gb. Can I flash cm10 with old sd version of clockwork mod ?
3) Regarding recoveries, Do I need an internal one ? if so which one and why does it matter which one ? and then what is the best way to install a recovery for cm10 ?
Thanks
I am flashing CM10 with my SD card version of CWM and it does work. I have had no issues.
Going back to stock is not really an issue. Flask Adam Outlers "acclaim_update.zip and you go back to 1.4.0 like it's right out of the box. Even better you should do a nandroid backup before anything else and just restore that. If you appear to still be rooted there is a way to unroot.
You do not need an internal recovery as long as you keep your sd card recovery.

Hi Thanks for the info. I'm comfortable flashing the rom, but I thought being kernel 3.0, it might cause a brick flashing an old kernel over it. I currently have 2 Nooks. One is bricked at the moment from trying to go from cm9 to cm7. , I think the partitions are messed up.

Soft bricked, need assistance

First, I'm not totally familiar with this phone as I have a VZW GNex & Unlocked SGSIII.
My wife's completely stock unmodified and OTA updated Note 2 on 4.1.2 is stuck in a bootloop at the Samsung GN2 logo. The only mode that works is Download. Recovery doesn't work, either. She told me she was having issues with it being very slow recently. When she went to plug it in to get the files off the internal SD, she said it rebooted, and now all it does is bootloop.
I'm assuming I'll have to ODIN back to stock. I have a feeling that she may lose her files on the internal SD card. I just have a few questions.
1. Is it possible to get access the internal SD via ADB, even if I can't get into recovery? (My guess is no)
2. ODIN will surely erase the internal SD, but is there a ODIN file for 4.1.2 that doesn't wipe, similar to Root66 for the original 4.1.1? (again, guess is no as Google finds nothing)
I'm (extremely slowly) downloading the 4.1.2 ODIN to return back to stock. Are there any other tips I should know before trying to revive?
Thanks.
EDIT: I'm going to crap myself. I just ODIN, prepared to lose everything, and upon a reboot, everything was back to normal, exactly as it was left! I'm completely shocked AND relieved, to say the least!

Well I was going to give you what advice I could but looks like you have it under control. One thing that buggs me is why would her stock phone just go to crap like that, my wife's GS3 is bone stock and it has more problems than a alpha build lol!

Help! 64gb SM-G925F went to 16GB after flashing stock Marshmellow!!!

I seriously messed up somehow. My Galaxy is a 64gb and now after flashing the Marshmellow update in Odin, it shows up as a 16gb device! How do I fix this please?
Edit: Disregard, a factory reset from recovery fixed it. Whew!
