I have the Sony MHL adapater and when I use it on the Xperia Tablet Z SGP312 I am getting no audio output but video is fine. I used to get audio but one day it stopped and I just didn't bother trying to figure it out and used my phone instead. I would like to figure out why the audio isn't working through the mhl cable. The mhl adapter is fine as it works perfect with my other Sony Xperia devices it is just the tablet. Doing a backup right now and will try a reset to see what that does but was wondering if anyone else had an issue like this or any ideas.
I also have this with my Xperia Z did you find a solution?

Yes I did but don't remember where the setting was that fixed it. I will check tomorrow and see if I can find it again.

Just noticed when i plug my phone in to charge you can have the home screen in landscape has any1 else got this?
Does this mean we might get a official dock?
I noticed this shortly after flashing to an ICS rom. It would be better if we could do this without anything connected to our phones.

Hi guys...
I bought Xperia Z Ultra just couple of days back. I was excited about having it but the party was ruined when.I realised that it has Calibration problem. (Bought without Warranty)
See if some of you guys has the same problem and can suggest some fix:-
1- Dialing the wrong number from Call Logs.
2- Sometimes the keyboard goes crazy while Drafting email and start typing multiple alphabets I.e. eeee /dddd / ooooo etc.
3- Lag in registering Touch especially on Phone dialing.
Kindly help me with the solution if you have or had the same issue
Regards
Afridi

Which firmware are you on? Had lag with touchscreen. So you should look if you can update your phone.
Also go on Settings/About/test device. There you can test everything on your phone and see what go wrong.

I am latest firmware 14.1.B.1.510. Recently updated.
I tested the device as you said and it seems fine there... But the problem is still bothering me and making my phone almost unusable.
It seems pure display calibration problem

Really annoying as there is no calibration setting on the phone. Tried a factory reset? Updated from Pc Companion or with flashtool?

Is there anybody like me: my C6802 does not play sound through out loud speaker. It just play sound through out conversation speaker (internal speaker).
Is it a big bug?

Hello friend, I noticed the same thing in my c6833 with kitkat.
Even videos... the audio was played in the ear speaker, and very low.
Altought, when I rebooted my phone, everything went to normal.
For me, it's not a constant.. more like a bug
I have also experienced this on one occasion, and it's a known bug that affects all Sony devices on KitKat. I'm sure Sony is working on it.

I have experienced that too. I don't know why but now it seems to stop. I'm not sure what, but turning off all the Sound enhancement, esp the dynamic equalizerseems to be the solution for me.

Happens on my c6806... Come on Sony this stuff isn't supposed to happen on release of an update that should have been tested. This is why apple murders android because the software works

Check these posts from the Z1 forum, they may help the ZU also, since it's almost the same hardware.

Hey guys did you try this?
Go to settings / sound / volumes / notification
Change the notification sound to maximum and make sure you can hear it from the speakers once you do, reboot.

Hey guys, ever since I got this phone its been good apart from one stupid thing! The navigation buttons lag when I press them. Only the home and recent apps. Its so annoying. My xperia Z ultra didn't do it nor my nexus 7 2013. It doesn't matter what firmware I'm on or using the live wallpaper or not its still there.
Surely its a simple fix so why hasn't sony done anything? I've had 2 Sony's phones. Problems with both. Not massive problems but problems that make you re think which phone you should have
Anyone else having these issues?
Thanks
J

Hi guys, what dacs do you guys use and why do you recommend them? And has Sony removed the high res over USB option in the sound settings in the latest update?
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
Sony never disables that, i suggest you go to head fi for that. Remember that z2 has 96khz/24bit

Haha I tried. No one in headfi responded. 96khz/24bit with dac or no dac?
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
I think I see the high res option within the Walkman app when my Fio USB dac is plugged in. Haven't tried in this version (.264) but will try it again when I get home.
