CM 10.2 & 11 - Headset Echo Problem - i9300 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This problem is now affecting CM 10.2 and CM 11.
Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that CM 10.2 and CM 11 has an echo problem with earbud inline microphones. I do not know how to use JIRA its not very user friendly so i'll post it here.
I am using:
CM 10.2 Stable/Final and CM 11 Nightly
Samsung Galaxy S3 - International i9300
Skully Candy Smokin' Bud earphones with inline mic./ Original Samsung Earbuds.
Problem: When someone calls me they can hear themselves as they talk with the earbuds on. There are no issues with bluetooth, earpiece and speaker.
Attempted fixes:
I have disabled noise reduction.
Disabled all DSP Manager features.
Purchased new earbuds, nothing made a difference.
Fix: I flashed stock Android 4.3 into my phone, the echo completely disappeared.
I tested nightly and stable for CM 10.2 the and the problem is consistent in both. I have also tested for CM 11 Nightly.
I would use JIRA to provide feedback but I have no idea how to use it, so I'm putting it in the forum and hoping someone will see the feedback here.
Other than this echo problem, the firmware is fantastic.

Cm9: earphone audio is low

Hello everybody, I just bought a new Galaxy S III and after a few minutes trying it I installed the last cm 9 stable mod.
But I have a big problem: when I listened to music I noticed that the volume was lower than with the stock rom.
I tried to use sound compression with dsp manager, but the sound results distort.
I experienced the same problem with my i9100 with both cm9 and cm10 (last nightly).
I don't know why, but it would be nice if someone had found a fix for this.
Thank you in advance

But I have a problem with every sounds (very low sound), whether it is for the notifications, the phone unlock etc... (The levels of sound are nevertheless at most).
Any idea on the solution to solved this?

[Q] [Bug?]Bluetooth no audio [ROM][KK][4.4.2][LINARO/SABERMOD] CyanogenMod 11

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I couldn't post on the development thread due to low post count.
Any who, bluetooth audio does not work in either direction for my Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 with [ROM][KK][4.4.2][LINARO/SABERMOD] CyanogenMod 11 (nightly build as of the 10th). It also did not work with my first flash of it for the 5th of this month. Any one else having this issue? is there a fix?
For a bit more details, bluethooth seems to detect fine and connects fine, and even does other things fine, like volume control and hanging up a call, but no audio goes through in either direction. and yes I have checked the audio levels and made sure it was not muted Also its not working with my honda car or my bluethooth head set.
Thanks!

I'm having the same issue with the SlimSaber ROM, as well as the ResurrectionRemix ROM. This only happens on a certain stereo I try to connect to, but not others. Haven't found a fix yet by any chance?

Sadly no. I just went back to 10.3 CyanogenMod on that phone until 11 becomes more stable.
Edit** Now that there is "official" CyanogenMod 11 for the i9100, you can monitor changes to see if they ever put a bluetooth fix in here. www cmxlog com/11/i9100/ (add dots back in ... had to edit so I can put link in...)

Bluetooth headset issues on VoIP, On CM based roms

Hi All,
I am sure most of the CM users have had this issue with their bluetooth headsets not working for VoIP calls on apps like Viber, Skype etc.
Sadly the same issue occurs with me too. There are no issues when i use a sammy stock based roms however this happens only when using a CM based rom.
I am using a Sony SBH 20 and also have a Samsung HS3000 bluetooth headsets and have tried almost all the roms including the official CM 11 nightlies, CM 11 by MarkOX, SlimKat, Carbon, PAC so on. none seem to work with bluetooth and viber.
However, the problem was not existing when i was using a Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT - i9082) with pawitp's CM 11 and Xenons Carbon rom (Both based on CM 11 sources) and bluetooth with viber or normal calls never had an issue at all.
Wondering if this is something to do with the Audio part of the roms to be causing compatibility issues with bluetooth because the same issue appeared resolved for roms cooked for an other device.
Pleading for a fix or a suggestion if any audio libs can be copied to the system folder of CM 11 from sammys stock to fix this issue (if anyone has tried it).

CM 14.1 Nightly Audio Problems

Hello,
when I am making or receiving a call the dialer ignores the volume settings for the speaker and it seems to be maximum. It is too loud and cannot bei changed. Has somebody the same problem with the newest CM 14.1 nightly? On CM 13 all worked perfect for me. Thanks in advance
Unfortunately nobody has encountered this issue. The cm team are the best to answer your question.
