CM 14.1 Nightly Audio Problems - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
when I am making or receiving a call the dialer ignores the volume settings for the speaker and it seems to be maximum. It is too loud and cannot bei changed. Has somebody the same problem with the newest CM 14.1 nightly? On CM 13 all worked perfect for me. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately nobody has encountered this issue. The cm team are the best to answer your question.

[Q] L9 P760 - CM 10.1 headphones button doesnt work and audio issues

Hi people.
I have found thread mentioned about these problems, but unfortunately, I have no permission to post in developer's forum, so I will post the problem here.
After installing the cm-10.1-20130513-NIGHTLY-p760, i had problem while setting sound volume at 80% - 100%, or if someone calls me while playing the music. Audio on phone completely freezes and cannot talk, nor cannot listen anything. Audio on phone completely stocks. I had to reset the phone to make audio working. This problem mentioned at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190300&page=27 by VladimirCicanci and donACEsko. Solution was the mikegapinski' patch (found it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202222).
Another problem I have: cannot answer by pressing the button on headphones. When I am listening music and someone calls me, I hear the ringing tone in headphones, and on phone standard speaker also hear it. This is the strange behavior. Pressing the button on headphones does nothing. If I answer on the screen of phone, conversation is taking place correctly: phones and microphone are working. Also, I cannot end the call by pressing the button on the headphones - it doesn't working. Headphones are original, coming with the phone and working on P700 at another phone.
Can somebody help, I will appreciate it.
Thank you
Stick with RC2, the nightlies are buggy and full of problems (not always though)
it has already been mentioned: don't rant about problems in nightly builds
reset, flash the RC2 again and wait for a stable release, it's around the corner :silly:

No. Better install today's lastest nightly build when it's out. CM10.1 RC had no changes regarding our phone. Follow CM 10.1 thread.
I will wait some time and than install fresh nightly from zero.
I know this is a bit off topic but does anyone know if there are plans for CM to come to the P768? Or is it the problem of no source code for 768 JB?

Sound Problem with CyanogenMod 10.1 (4.2.2)

Dear all
Since yesterday, I installed the Rom Cyanogen 10.1 ( 4.2.2 ) (10.1-20130731-NIGHTLY-i9305)
But I have a problem with every sounds (very low sound), whether it is for the notifications, the phone unlock etc... (The levels of sound are nevertheless at most).
Any idea on the solution to solved this?
In advance, thanks a lot

Problem with phone audio

I'm experiencing problems with phone audio on my S3 I9300.
I was on CM 10.1 2013-08-04 nightly, stock kernel, stock modem. Today I updated to latest nightly but nothing changed.
Audio in other apps is working perfectly, but during a call I cannot hear others speaking neither others can hear me. Turning speaker on during call doesn't help.
Unlock sound is activated and playing (workaround to prevent an issue present in CM).
The problem is sometimes "solved" plugging in earphones but is back again after a boot.
I asked in proper CM thread but nobody answered my request.
Attached a couple of logcats.
Many many thanks in advance if somebody could help diagnose the problem.

CM 10.2 & 11 - Headset Echo Problem - i9300

This problem is now affecting CM 10.2 and CM 11.
Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that CM 10.2 and CM 11 has an echo problem with earbud inline microphones. I do not know how to use JIRA its not very user friendly so i'll post it here.
I am using:
CM 10.2 Stable/Final and CM 11 Nightly
Samsung Galaxy S3 - International i9300
Skully Candy Smokin' Bud earphones with inline mic./ Original Samsung Earbuds.
Problem: When someone calls me they can hear themselves as they talk with the earbuds on. There are no issues with bluetooth, earpiece and speaker.
Attempted fixes:
I have disabled noise reduction.
Disabled all DSP Manager features.
Purchased new earbuds, nothing made a difference.
Fix: I flashed stock Android 4.3 into my phone, the echo completely disappeared.
I tested nightly and stable for CM 10.2 the and the problem is consistent in both. I have also tested for CM 11 Nightly.
I would use JIRA to provide feedback but I have no idea how to use it, so I'm putting it in the forum and hoping someone will see the feedback here.
Other than this echo problem, the firmware is fantastic.

Sound Bug Lineage OS 14.1 (Build: 18.04.2017)

A few days ago I rooted my Moto Z and flashed Lineage OS (build: 18.04.2017) with TWRP.
But when I watched the first YouTube Video, the sound was a little bit strange because sounds under a specific volume weren't played from the speakers of my phone.
It's like a noise reduction, but the complete sound was reduced.
Did anyone here already had that problem or heard of it?
Is there a way to remove it?
Thank you and sorry for my bad English.
Sound Bug also on different ROMs
Hi guys!
I'm a LineageOS user on HTC One M7. I used old versions (cyanogen mod) or also tried different roms (like SlimRom, TeslaOS) for newer versions of Android (currently: Android 7.1.1 with LineageOS 14.1 nightly) and all the results are very similar: either no or very little and squeaky sound on ear audio (call). So i use speaker, but it also works sometimes, or not! There is no problem with music, video etc media; but just on calls.
Is there any else, got the same problem? Could anyone helps pls? Thx in advance...
*I'm also not a native English speaker, thx for understanding
