Will this phone die out?? - HTC EVO 3D

The threads here and on other forms about the Evo 3D are getting thiner and thiner. It seems that many devs are moving on, which is understandable, but I am wondering how many are left?
Does anyone know if there is even a chance of getting acceptable working KitKat on this Phone? Tried Evervolve but it only ever bootlooped.

To answer my own question
NO!!!!
Dastin has come thru with CM 11 (KitKat 4.4.1)
It works fine on this phone and solves some frustrations I have had with CM 10.X roms.
Check it out in the DEV threads: CyanogenMod 11.0 - VILLUMINATI

Paranoid Android

I was wondering if there was anyone making the latest PA for our device? I've searched and searched. It would appear just now there isn't a whole lot of ROM dev's building ROMs for the one X+..
there are roms around just not loads of them I can recommend this one for non stock feel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044584 not tried CM10 or 10.1 yet but reading around they seem stable. Having been a samsung sheep since my htc desireHD days I must admit theres not as much development around here but what is here works great

Thanks for the link but that is not Paranoid Android..I agree that the few roms I've tried are very sweet. I've not encountered any real issues right from the beginning which shows a great level of developer. But take the Nexus 4 for example, I've just counted 20 active ROMs available in their forums.

[Q] changing Android versions/ROM's

I've been running Jelly'Beans' ROM 1 through 22 since I've had my Note 2. Really have no complaints about it at all. But since he is getting ready to release his version of 4.3 soon, I started getting curious about the 4.4 ROM's. There are so many threads, and I'd just like to get some opinions from more experienced users since I have been strictly on Beans. What do people think are the most stable 4.4 ROM's? How many are out? I can't tell from all the threads titles, unless they specifically say 4.4 in them. I've only noticed the SlimRom one, but haven't spent a lot of time looking. What kernels are available, and overclockable? Do you use the same modems as in 4.1.2, I assume you would? What's the difference between 4.3 and 4.4? The one thing I like about Bean's ROM is it is based off the official Verizon release, and he does a great job in his work. I'm more reserved on just flashing myself ever since I've seen people talk about having to flash "downgrades" and other things to go back to 4.1.2 if you don't like the other ones. If it was as simple as flashing your TWRP backup I would. But I believe you can't use that in 4.3 or 4.4 either, if I read correctly. Any input or opinions is great. I don't need to get flamed or told to Google things. If you don't wanna answer don't. If you want to take a minute or two to state your opinions, great. I'm just curious about all this. This is an Q&A Help thread. Thanks.

[Q] No official CM11 dev for i717...why?

cm is developing cm11 nightlies for old devices such as the Samsung Captivate i897 (captivatemtd) but not for our i717s? what gives?
seriously though, i'd love an informative answer. i can't make sense of it on my own.
The way that I got it was that the folks who WERE doing the CM10.1 stuff started in on 10.2 and then then their test device died.
Since there's no way to test, no more "official" builds.

[Q] best recent rom? (September 9th, 2014)

whats up guys, sorry if this has been answered. im looking for a new rom to use on my rezound. i was hoping someone could point me in the direction of something like miui or similar, something completely different than sense, how ever stability is important to me. i am currently running business sense (sense 4), the latest build. the phone is not a dd i just play with it and use it at work for music and such, i do how ever sometimes use it for photos so the camera working is a must!! thank you!!
CyanogenMod 11 in original development is being regularly maintained. Also check out AICP in the standard Android development forum. Personally I keep going back to Tachyon 1.2 even though it is nearing a year in age I get best battery life and no heat...
There is no "best" ROM, only what is best for you. In fact, "best" ROM threads are not allowed on XDA, as it just causes arguments.
You are best off to try several and see what works best for you. I am under the impression that the camera issues are mostly taken care of, so just try some and see what you get. Omni and AICP would be current choices atm, until @IAmTheOneTheyCallNeo finally releases the next Tachyon version.
