Please answer this question, what the heck did you downgrade, I hope you just downgraded the kernal.
What method of rooting did you use?
But first, what is your phone's:
firmware: 2.1 or 2.3
baseband
do you have xrecovery
If you would like help, I and others are willing to help you. Just post again and I will post links of the rooting method and guides to flashtool.
It happened to me... I was trying to install Jerpelea's latest 2.3.5, and suddenly my phone keeps rebooting from SE logo.. I can go into xrecovery, but when I try to recover a backup, it says it can't mount the sdcard...
What can i do?
Is my phone ruined??
Tks..
Have you installed latest SE adb driver?
Unplug your battery about 3 minutes then plug it again, use flashtool to flash 2.1 firmware, then connect it and press back button till green light appear, let it alone till finished.
Root your 2.1 fw, install recovery, and simply flash wolf 2.3 ROM, unplug your battery, plug it again and flash baseband 71.
Now your phone should be boot properly.
You almost cant break your X10 by flashing anything, cause bootloader is locked.

You cant ruin it mate.
Just install your recovery again, try with apk.
I think you have old recovery, cause this problem appear when gb just released, and now fixed.
You can find topic about it on X10 android development forums, Z already fixed it.

Ok, but the problem is: I can't start the phone, and the sdcard doesn't mount properly so I can recover a backup....
How can I install de recovery again without starting the phone?
You're right, I had the old recovery installed...
EDIT: And now I cant even go into recovery... It's fully stuck on SE logo... Damn!
Turn phone off. Boot pc companion. Goto update service. Click update. Says no phone found. Click repair option. Follow steps on screen. It will flash latest SE firmware. Root. Install recovery. Restore your backup on your now mountable sd card. Done you can't break this phone, can always restore through pc companion.

Flash stock firmware from flashtool, if you dont know about how to use flashtool.
Just go to x10 android development forum, find thread about flashtool by androxyde.
Dont be so worry about your phone, you cant break it with flashing ROM or kernel.

The main idea is to restore your framework-res.apk. U can use aroma explorer if you have installed CWM from boot. If u havent, u should unlock your bootloader, there are several methods, i would suggest the unofficial through s1 tool with testpoint. Do you have a custom ROM build, or the official that came with your phone?
Take your battery off, start flashtool, put battery back in DO NOT power up.
Connect to pc when flashtool tells you holding back button.

thanks guys for replying.
but I don't want to unlock bootloader. so I flashed it completely using flash tool. And had to give-up my all app updates. Now working fine...
Install cwm this time, even if your staying on stock, so that if something like this happens again, atleast it's easier to recover without loosing data.

dont forget to wipe the phone before flash the new one
Try using flashtool and downloading generic 4.0.4, if that doesnt work use SEUS as last resource

You should wipe data and cache at first, then install the ROM along with the gapps with it!

Go to recovery mode, wipe phone completely ( cache, data, dalvik cache, battery stat if you want to ), then flash your rom. it will be fine
back to cwm again.

Thanks. I just did that. I flashed it but it came back to CWM again.
please help.
after reboot it came back to recovery ? Okay if it so. try these :
1. do as i said earlier + before flashing rom, after wiping phone , go to mounts and storage and formate /system, /data and /cache manually. then flsah rom and reboot.
if this didn't work,
2. then as the first comment on this page says, download ftf file (rom) for your device and flash it via flashtool. all instructions will be given when you'll select to flash ftf . dont worry this will work definitely.
but sorry i haven't asked you earlier, you have locked bootloader or unlocked ? because if you'r using wrong kernel which is not for the rom, you'll get bootloops.if on wrong kernel, try flashing right kernel for your device. good luck
Hello guys,
I've got an X10mini (E10) (second hand but should not branded)
I'm actually stucked in a bootloop. It happened after I tried flashing the miniCM7 ROM with CWM.
I've tried the wipe data/factory reset frome CWM but nothing happened
I've tried the recovery option from my previous backup
Nothing
I've tried reflashing the Stock Rom (found in one of Xda-developers thread)
And I still got a bootloop (with the Sony Ericson logo)
Could anyone help me? =)

Why don't you try a repair with SEUS or PC Companion, that will get you back to original.
You said you did wipe data/factory reset, but did you wipe cache and dalvick-cache too (second one in advanced menu in CWM), because they're filled with useless junk from your old ROM, causing many errors.

I saw your thread.
I also have an x10 Mini and got stuck in a bootloop (colors swishing around on screen). I rooted, installed xrecovery - what shows up in the screen is cwm recovery v 5,0,2,8. I unlocked the boot loader, flashed this Kernel using flash tool (an older version): U20_nAa-14_2.6.29.6-nAa-14.ftf I tried to downloand nAa 11 but 14 kept coming up, so I put that in the firmware file along with the stock Kernel. I forgot to install the drivers, but the flash tool said it was successful. After disconnecting and starting the phone "Ana" words not the symbol came up and the boot loop began. Alternatively, on start up, I can get into cwm recovery. I didn't save the rom or google app zip on my sd card as I assumed I could that after flashing the Kernel, but the bootloop makes impossible
My goal is to install Android Fire 2.3.
I would really appreciate any guidance.

I don't know, apparently it worked fine when you connected it to your pc...
Maybe you could pull all your files off the sd-card to your pc, boot into cwm and format the sd-card (in mounts and storage), then reboot into the rom.
If that's all successful, put the files back on your sd-card.

What would happen if I select "apply update from sd card". This is the second option under CWM recovery.
Should I restore from Nanadroid. i s this necessary?
Could partitioning the sd card help? Thanks again!

The 'Apply Update.zip' does exactly the same thing as the 'Install zip from sd-card', but the first option only works for zip-files named 'update.zip' in the root of your sd-card, the second option will let you browse the sd-card and select a zip-file with any name. The second option is the one you use to install your ROM.
Restoring from nandroid, just fills your internal phone-memory with the old stuff you had in there, it won't affect your sd-card, other than that it reads the nandroid from that sd-card.
Your sd-card needs to be formatted with the fat-filesystem to work properly, so partitioning or not makes not much of a difference, only that the available space for your stuff (music, photo's, etc.) is less because the other partitions take up space too.
If you can flash your ROM in CWM from sd-card I don't really see any problem with your sd-card.
worked like a charm. many thanks!

I had the same problen and fixed it. So first you will need a stock firmware of ICS (find it on google can't provide link because I am using phone...sorry) then you will need latest Flashtool version (download it on google too).
Once you have everything downloaded follow the steps.
1)Instal Flashtool (it's easy)
2)Then open it and navigate folder with name Firmwares.
3)Put in this folder the .ftf file you downloaded (I mean the stock Firmware) Plug the phone in and wait while Flashtool will recognize your phone. IF not instal ADB drivers
4)Then open Flashtool and hit the button with the lightning
5)Choose flashmode
6)Then choose the firmware you puted in the folder.
7)Follow the on-screen instructions and you have your phone back
Reply if I helped you!!!

u can just reflash your kernel and restore your backup from recovery. if u used x-parts or any app to install recovery it installs it to system partition. when u install a new rom it wipes your system partition.
if u haven't unlocked bootloader u have to flash stock firmware via flashtool. then install a recovery mode and restore your backup.

Hi guys,
I downloaded this mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155803 (Zelly Cream 3.5 True Xperia Z), can't post my question there due to stupid forum rules but oh well...
Anyway, I am using WT19i LWW with locked bootloader, so stock kernel and after flashing mentioned ROM (I do every step as written there) and turning on the phone I get Sony Ericsson logo (kernel logo?) and then just black screen. I can't even enter CWM. I tried flashing back and flashing the rom again 3 times and every time the effect is the same.
Could some kind soul help me out, please? I would be most grateful.

How did you flash the rom without entering CWM? Was it in a .ftf?
I did through CWM, just as written in the installation procedure of the ROM. I should've also mentioned that every time I waited over 40 minutes for something to happen, but no luck.
i think the problem might be this (i.e) , after installing the ROM in the last step of aroma , you have to untick "reboot device" and you have to go back to cwm and reboot from there.....
It was unticked by default, so I didn't even have to. Any more ideas? ;S

@BlizzyPL fine flash stock rom again and try OR maybe try any rom and after that follow these steps
1. Wipe cache partition
2. Wipe Dalvik cache
3. go to mounts and storage and
i) format CACHE
ii) format data
iii) format system
iv) go back to cwm menu and install "Zelly Cream3.5" Zip file
if still doesn't work!! re-download the zip file and try with above steps by choosing your options carefully
