Just a few weeks ago i was having issues with Apollo, now i'm having issues with all apps based off of the Apollo music player. (Now Playing, NexMusic+, Shuttle, New Apollo meaning Cyanogenmod 10.) They have been crashing when i leave it for a long time, but ive been noticing it crashes faster when i leave the app and leave it in the background playing with the notification music widget. Please can anyone help??? is it just because im running 4.1.2.

I have a rooted Thunderbolt phone (Das BAMF Remix 1.6.3, running at the kernel it came with (2.6.32.21.bamf_4.4.7-g21c0620-dirty (by a adrynalyne #1)), as well as WidgetLocker and Launcher Pro. I am trying to use the default music player, and every time my phone locks or I try to use other apps, my music player stops playing. I tried looking through every setting and I cannot figure out how to make my music either play in the background while I use it or continue playing even after the screen locks. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Not sure, I thought there was a setting for that. Maybe try flashing a different kernel? Try this one if you want - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021404
I will probably try that later tonight, thanks! Does anyone know any other possibilities of why this would happen?
Kernel did not work... Any other suggestions?
I was using the app flawlessly on a JB rom (Slimbean for YP-G70) and now, in my KK rom (Beanstalk for YP-G70), the app crashes upon trying to scan for media. Due to its use of its own media scanner, the app is useless with this error. I love it and just want my music playing right again. I own the full version. Any ideas on what I can do? I would post in the thread for Beanstalk but unfortunately I am still locked out of the dev section.
Hi guys, so i bought an s3 last week and after 2 days of use i decided to upgrade to 4.3.
I installed Paranoid Android 4.0 beta 3 (latest) but now when i try to listen to music with the phone on my pocket (both with Shuttle+ and Google Play music) the audio isnt smooth, it cripples sometimes. Anyone has a fix?

Unfortunately, there is no fix yet. I sold my S3 yesterday due to audio stuttering. Try using n7player (for me caused less stuttering that winamp, stock samsung player, google music).
You can try using custom kernel or use an app like setcpu and increase your min frequency level to 400 rather than default 200 MHz....
For custom kernel I would suggest boeffla 2.2 stable for aosp based roms..
Install boeffla config v2 app from play store and you can change between governors and change the frequency as per your choice from this app itself...

i have rooted my samsung galaxy ace plus with speedmod 2.2.1 (4.4.2 kitkat)
the smart player keeps crashing when i change the music
and sometimes keeps playing the same song when i change but mostly it force stops
i had this same problem with build 2.2
this is really buggy
I use this app constantly. I love it. I'm using the last snapshot build of cm11. I have also tried recent nightlies. When playing music on this app, it will randomly quit. When I look at the app, it still shows that it is playing, but there is no sound. if i push the back or next button, the music will come back. Is this a bug in cm11 or in the music app? I just recently switched from an s4 and it never had this problem. Thanks!

edit: It also does it using apollo. It happens with or without headphones. A recent nightly refused to allow any media playback and faulted dsp manager. could that be the problem here?
me too
Did you fix it? If so, how?
