after flashing some of the new 4.3 TW roms i currently have MJ9. if i wanted to go back to MC3 to run older roms do i have to odin back to stock or is there an MC3 zip i can just flash? or even just odin an MC3 file? or is it ok to use MJ9 with any rom? so far i havent noticed any weird happenings using MJ9 on a 4.4 rom
Are you referring to just the Modem/Radios?
Yes

You can download the MC3 modem .zip from this thread

Just flash through recovery like normal. You may or may not need to flash depending on what Rom you go back to, as far as I know the modem isn't version specific.

Is it safe to downgrade from XWLPY to XWLPI through Odin? I need to reflash the ROM on my phone, so I thought I might just as well get rid of the 4.0.4 stock kernel brickbug by restoring straight to 4.0.3.
Is this safe, or is there anything I should be aware of? As far as I've read, brickbug only affects flashing/wiping through recovery, right?
Yes. Flashing stock through Odin should be fine.
If you are going to reflash a custom ROM from 4.0.3, then you can just flash a safe kernel though odin and flash custom ROM from recovery of the safe kernel. No need to downgrade to 4.0.3

OK, it worked, everything works now.
I will probably flash XWLPY back since XWLPI feels a bit like a beta version compared to XWLPY. Still usable fine though.
BTW, here is a tip for the people who want to switch between MTP and mass storage - get "USB mode switch for SGS1 on CM" from Google Play (also works on stock ROMs)
Is there a way to flash the stock me7 update? I read that you can't flash previous builds and after updating my play store won't open and I think flashing the stock me7 build may fix it.
Theres an me7 odin flashable version in the dev section.

I am currently running jellybeans ver21 on android 4.1.2. Can I just use odin and upgrade the MJ9 firmware then wipe and load new roms using the newest firmware or do I have to go back to stock first?

From what I read (because I have the MJ9), having 4.1.2 with MJ9 can either cause messy problems with some apps and sms/mms/calls/data/etc. or works perfectly fine (usually when you flash a custom ROM).
I haven't done it myself but you're more than welcome to do a complete backup of everything on your phone and flash MJ9.
Best of luck to you.

I went from 4.1.2 and Beans 22. I flashed mj9 with Odin, booted immediately in to recovery and then flashed Alliance 26. It's working perfectly.

I have a Sprint Mega SPH-L600 that I got with a 4.4 ROM that I just cannot seem to return to stock. I have tried all of Silesh's GT9205 ROM's with no avail. I have tried everything I can think of. I've downloaded every version of the stock 4.2 I can find but it always boot loops. I have also tried all of the GSM ported ROM's but they are the only thing that will flash to my phone. I have the custom Philz recovery that's how I'm flashing the ROMs. In download mode I don't see anything about knox. I don't believe I have it. My modem is still running the NA7. Is there any way to downgrade? My main goal is to open the diagnostic ports. But the CDMA dialer codes are non-existent in this GSM ROM. I am trying to flash this phone to Page Plus. What a hassle! Is there any hope Obi Wan Kenobi?!?! Thank you.
Be forwarned by using gt9205 roms on a sprint sph-l600 will mess up the wifi and lte thats why I made the mistake on 1st day of purchased the mega luckily I was able to get mega replaced no charge roms for sprint sph-l600 are not the same as other rom!

In Google search type in "ceanbackup bnb25" he has one you can flash to go back to stock jellybean
I am still running MC3, rooted with casual. I have read one post in the developer section that said I had to upgrade to MJ9 first before I can flash ND7. Is that correct? Since I have already a custom recovery, it doesn't make much sense to my why. Could someone please clarify or explain.
Thanks In advance
You do not flash MJ9 official tar you have to the firmware which contains the params and tz images for you to have working WiFi on 4.3. ND7 is 4.4.2 so you would still need to flash that firmware to have working WiFi.. got it?
But whatever you do.. do NOT flash MJ9 official tar then you will have locked bootloader
After some more reading and your response, I think I got it. The firmware is so different that mj9 won't work with the original parameters regardless of the rom . Thanks
