The XTZ's stock firmware does not have a recovery menu. To get back to factory default, go to Settings > Backup & Reset and select Factory data reset, or use Sony PC Companion (PCC) or Sony Mobile's Update Service (SUS) to reinstall the firmware.
To install an earlier version of firmware, download the appropriate FTF of the firmware (search this forum for download links), then flash it to your XTZ using Sony Mobile Flasher by Androxyde.
THIS POST will tell you how to access the available functions of the XTZ's stock firmware.
I have Xperia p Lt22i and have done factory resetting but unfortunately i forgot to do backup first. I have important notes that are lost :crying:.
Is there any way to get those notes back ???
Thanks in advance
Today I tried to factory reset my xperia z3tc wifi with Sony Bridge for mac. I have a completely stock Sony Xperia z3tc SGP611. There was little confusion when selecting the device from the list .. there were (Sony Xperia Tablet compact, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and Sony Xperia Z3 compact). So, I accidently chose the wrong device and tried the device repair. This caused the repair to fail with error code description 100.
Next time, I chose the other device and this time the flashing was fine and everything worked. I went through the first boot menu. The first thing i did was to check my DRM keys. This is how they look. Is everything fine or have I deleted something ? Can someone share a screenshot of how their drm keys intact look like ?

Yeah, they are intact. As long as there is no error next to them but ok, you do not have to worry. Also flashing a firmware (no matter which) should normally not touch the TA partition at all.
Good evening!
My significant other is the one who owns an Xperia Z2 and I just want to help her about what's happening to her phone.
The situation is that updating to Android 6.0 is not a good idea because ever since she updated her Z2, a persistent problem goes to show. Few days after updating to Android M, the phone lags every now and then and eventually ends up on a bootloop. Now on my part, I did a recovery through Sony Companion using a PC and then restored it to it's factory state. I thought we fixed the problem until few weeks passed and it happened again (lags-freeze-bootloop). I did the same process of restoring it every time it enters boot loop but the problem still arise.
I have little knowledge about how Sony Xperia phones work since it mainly relies on Sony Companion because usually Xperia phones have their bootloader locked unlike ASUS' and Samsung's phones.
I can't identify if this is a hardware or software issue because as for my observation, the problem just arise on Android 6.0
What could be the problem of her Z2 and what is the best possible solution to do?
Thanks in advance and God bless.

Use flashtool by androxyde to reflash the whole MM FW of your region and carrier. If it doesnt work, flash an older version of FW ( KK or LP ) to see if the problem still there.
Btw, is your phone rooted?

Thanks for the reply
Her Z2 isn't rooted, also there is no access to recovery mode since I can't enter recovery when I pressed the button combination.
Should I restore it with Sony Companion and then enable usb debugging so that I can enter recovery mode? If not, can you give me a heads up on what should I do? Thanks

Head over to flashtool and download an older android FW through it. And then flash it using flashtool.
Sent from my Sony Xperia Z2 using XDA Labs
Got the same problem with the latest stock version of my carrier, which I believe is 6.0. This problem also appears with Existenz ROM v5.1.0 which runs Android 6.0.1. Will try an older version of Android and test if the problem keeps appearing.
Thank you all,
Hi all,
I have a problem with my Z5 compact: I flashed ParanoidAndroid and after flashed back official ROM.
After this I'm not able to log in to any Xperia apps (including Backup & Restore, Xperia account from settings, Lounge, etc., but except myXperia and Keyboard).
I also did factory reset but it didn't help.
Obviously, I relocked the bootloader.
What could be the problem?
