Hey guys, can you help me? EVERY TIME I GO TO CWR (CLOCKWORKRECOVERY) IT SHOWS AN ANDROID AND AN EXCLAMATION POINT. wHY IS THAT
Because you didn't install a custom recovery, or you installed a recovery and then rebooted into stock Android and it over wrote your recovery.

You haven't flashed a custom recovery.
I believe that now you are root user and have the unlocked bootloader. If so, you just have to open the cmw application and you will fin an option that says "Flash.... " you just press it, it will ask for the model of your phone, it'll download something automatically and at the end will ask for root permisions.
When it has finished, just reboot into recovery and you'll find all the options of CMW
After rooting my Droid x2 and installing cwm recovery I tried to boot it into recovery but I get a triangle w/ exclamation mark screen. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks!

Bootstrap recovery is different than regular recovery. Plug device into a wall charger while powered off. You should boot into cwm that way

What happens if you unplug phone from computer and turn it off, then press and hold Vol up and connect to pc? If it boots to down load mode (says firmware upgrading on phone screen) then the root all lg (send_command method) should work unless your current firmware has been patched.
Or if you are on 4.4.2, you might try Towelroot
(fyi - if it does boot to download mode, to get it to boot normally again just remove battery then press power.)

Ok so Towelroot worked and you are rooted? when you try to boot to recovery and see android with red Triangle, that is your stock recovery. Unless you flashed a custom recovery then you wouldn't have one installed since Towelroot only roots device, it does not install custom recovery
