[Q] Help : how to replace twrp on ONDA v972 v1 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I tried to update my onda tablet v972 v1 from the ROM stock.
I would like to update my tablet with this custom rom : kasty-onda_v972_v1-422-v321_20130729-rooted1 from the thread of Christian Troy
I installed twrp but unfortunately, it seems there isn't the touch driver for onda v972.
I tried to restore with the older firmware my tablet holding the home button, then plug the tablet to my PC, then press 10 times the power button but at each time, twrp appears.
I can't use my tablet anymore.
Is it possible to do a kind of hard reset by a needle in the small hole and by pressing some button?
Is there an other way to restore the older firmware?
Thank you for your answer.

[Q] Need Help reflashing a WP10W A9 Dual Core based tablet (WM8500 chipset)

I picked up an AGPTek 7" Tablet TP10W. It's based around a 1.2ghz dual core A9, 400 Mali which I believe is a WM8500???? The tablet came with ICS 4.0.3.
I accidentally flashed the wrong ROM to it trying to fix a bug. Now I can start up Android but cannot use the touch screen, and the rotation is off. I can use a usb mouse to navigate, and I can connect to wifi.
The tablet is unlocked, rooted and has SU. I haven't been able to find a version of clockwork recovery mode that will run on this tablet, each time I go into recovery mode I end up with the dead Android on his back.
AGPTek supplied me with an IMG file of the original ROM, but that requires LiveSuit to flash it. When trying to use LiveSuit on my Windows 7 x64 machine the drivers supplied for the tablet don't work, so Livesuit cannot see the tablet when plugged in via USB and wont run. The instructions provided by AGPTek tell me, when the tablet is off, hold down any button on the device, then plug it in via USB, then while still holding the button, to repeatedly press the power key which should put it into download mode. This does not work, the tablet does nothing when following the proceedure. I get it into recovery mode by holding down the vol+ key and power key during start but this gets me back to the dead Android as I can't seem to find a version of CWM that will run.
At this point I'll make do with being able to just get back to the previous ROM, but ideally I'd like to get CWM or another recovery program onto the tablet so I can explore CM9 and C10 roms.

Bootloop (Prestigio PMP5580C) - Need help :(

Hi all,

Hi,
any ideas? I need your help...
I also have such a problem with my PMP5580C DUO.
It just hangs on the Bootscreen with the "The Art Hi-Tech" and the logo.
No chance to get into cwm with power+vol up and even the Hardresetbutton just switches the tablet off.
Can someone help? Or did you find a solution yet?
Thank you very much

Have you tried to put the update.zip file and recovery image on an SD card ?
If not do that then press (Volume +) + (Power) buttons then when the screen flashes stop pressing the (Power) button and keep pressing the (Volume +) button after some time it will start flashing the Tab.
Here is the link if you don't have the update.zip file :
http://www.prestigio.com/catalogue/Archive_products/Multipads/MultiPad_8.0_Pro_Duo#/product-support/firmware
use the 2.0.24 version.
Hope this helps
If not tell me so I can give you another way by using CWM.
Waiting for your reply...

Hi, my friend has the PMP5580c and it too will not go to recovery at all. it just hangs in a boot loop on the start up screen. I have tried the recovery combination, but it does not work. how would I go about flashing the firmware/update.zip file using CWM.

Do you have a CWM flashed already or not?
If so then I had this problem before you just need to put the update.zip on the root of the SD card then press the recovery buttons for some time like 2 minutes -some times it takes so long but it works- .
reply to me soon.
Bootloop fixed
Hi Zack.
I was able to get it sorted with fastboot. Needed the laptop to register the m3-chip that it was saying was the tablet. Once that was done, flashed it with the original stock firmware. It now runs like it was brand new.
Thank you all for your time on this matter

Bricked PMP5580C
Hello
I have bricked my Intenso Tab 814 (same as Prestigio PMP5580C). I formated the bootloader space + the recovery space, and now I can't even turn it on. The backlight of the display isn't glowing up at least. So I used my MicroUSB cable and connected to the computer, it is recognized by the computer, but I can't flash anything back with the amlogic software which I've got, I am really appreciating when someone of you can try to help me out,
thanks in advance,
AMLOGIC
Unbricked Intenso Tab 814
I have successfully unbricked an Intenso Tablet 814 also know as Prestigio PMP5580C! It had no bootloader and all partitions were formatted! This includes the bootloader, means it even showed backlight as I plugged it into the power supply. I got a rescue sd card made with Christian Troys tutorial but my tabket was nit abke to start, because the nand chip was corrupted, so I looked at the nand chip and used a scrwwdriver and put it on the 6 and 5 th point t the right side on the left side is the hole on the nand chip, after that I was able to permitt the access for the nand chip to the mainboard, so it booted from the sd card automaticaly,
Intenso Tab 814 can be unbricked! Yeah, now I need it's source to customize the recovery and boot splash + oneday the os,
Take care!
Bye bye!
Stuck in bootloop intenso tab 724
So the title says it all how can I fix it? No custom recovery only root

Hipstreet Equinox 10.1 HS-10 DTB1-4GB

Hello, i've been trying to find anything related to this tablet, a Hipstreet Equinox 10.1 HS-10 DTB1-4GB, from what i can tell its supposed to be based on android 2.3 gingerbread.
The tablet basically trefuses to boot up and i've been trying to find a way to get into recovery to do a factory reset or a firmware to force flash to factory reset but i have been unable to find out how to do either, or even any information/firmwares for this tablet. if anyone can help me it would be greatly apreciated.

Your tablet may not have CWM or TWRP recoveries..Some combinations you can try are:
When tablet is booting up press VOLUP or VOLDOWN or both.
When tablet is booting up press VOLUM + Power or VOLDOWN + Power or both.

its most definitely on stock recovery for GB 2.3, but i have not managed to get into it. i have Vol + vol - Menu, home and back buttons, so far i've tried volume +/- both + power and ive tried menu + power as well as back and the home individually. i have not managed to get anything different other than on home + power, when i do that, i ttakes 5x longer on the "hipstreet splash logo" once it gets past that though it says android then infiniblackscreen. - i dont get anything on a host computer via the USB either when trying any of these combos - hoping to get ADB to do a factory reset via ADB.
i used to have a ployer momo 9 and i remember that tablet had a special recovery mode with a special flasher and was wondering if something like that existed for this cheap tablet which is based on just about the same thing, allwinner dual core 1.0 ghz + 512mb ram + 4 gb rom.

Wait I found something for you
There is a few tricks to get your Tablet back , You require a few things
-A usb cable to connect to computer
-Internet connectivity
Now Lets start by putting the tablet in Android recover mode .
1. Connect the tablet to the USB port on the Computer .
2. Press and hold the power button and the Big button on the tablet , Keep pressing it until the logo of the android gut with his gut open shows up .
3. It is possible to perform a reset using the ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
I did mine on Windows XP , (Does your tablet install correctly in the Device manager? )
If so That is great news , You may goto step 5
If not Goto step 4 :
Step 4: Getting the Chinese driver equivalent for your tablet .
Get the drivers for the Ainol 7" Auror tablet (or equivalent )
Now Before the driver will work with your device (you can try to install it but it will give you an INF error)
You must edit the file (.INF) to match your USB id of the tablet
(At the bottom of the file change the STRINGS section to the device codes of your tablet ) (found by right clicking the Unknown device in the device manager . the (VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) is the HARDWARE ID and the
[Strings]
USBDRV="USB Devices"
USB\VID_1f3a&PID_efe8.DeviceDesc="USBDevice(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8)"
YOUR STRINGS:
USBDRV="USB Devices"
USB\<YOURDEVICEID>.DeviceDesc=USBDevice(<YOURDEVICEID>)"
Step 5:
Get the Recovery tool from here
https://spideroak.com/share/KNQW243.../CWM_Recovery_Manta_MID08_windows_install.zip
This will give you a suite of tools to restore your device to factory reset
Use it to install the recovery partition , and then reboot your device in recovery mode , Then use the Vol + and - buttons to navigate and power button to Enter .

The firmware installs, but the touch very often is unresponsive and sometime when i press on something, it presses something else.
I mention thta the touch was working fine before firmware update. I needed to flash another firmware because of the "too many pattern attempts"
We could use some another software for this tablet?
Ps. I used XW711 v1.6 nuclear_6225-eng 4.0.4 IMM76D 20121210

totally bricked onda v971 v3 quad any solution?

onda v971 v3 quad IPS (allwinner A31)
help me (if it is possible) i messed it up!
i installed twrp, but made as i understand many things wrong!
- after flashing twrp, i wiped everything from within twrp (now says no os installed).
I just can get to twrp with both home and power pressed.
The problem is the tablet refuse to get recognized at all (win xp & win 10) - nothing not even a beep as a connected device!
* Also flashing with phoenix is not applicable since the home button, (insert otg mini us plug) and pressing 10 times (or more) the power while the home is pressed, still does not make the tablet get recognized by phoenix (i did it many many times carefully) and the appropriate order.
Can i do anything else?
ps. also it cannot recognize sd card to install a cyanogenmod from there. Not usb disk by otg.
