I have really been debating flashing my stock AT&T HTC One with the new Cyanogenmod, especially now that they have the Installer out there. I don't care about Beats audio due to the EQ, and Blinkfeed can die for all I care, but I was wondering if there is anyway to keep Zoe or if there is another software package out there that does a similar thing?

Ah ok. Well has anyone verified the CM Installer works on AT&T HTC One with a locked bootloader starting off?
Yep works. Phone rebooted after it unlocked the bootloader causing the installer to fail. But I restarted the installer and all was good.

And just in case I ever have to warranty the phone, is there a way to relock the bootloader and restore the normal HTC One ATT ROM? I'm quite new to all this so sorry for the noob questions!
Yea you can run an att stock ruu

This morning while I was simply just surfing YouTube I got a prompt asking me to start downloading a firmware update. I accepted and let it download but have no idea what it is. It's a 228 mb file. When it finished downloading nothing happened. Went to the AT&T Software Update menu and it says "Continue Update" but when I hit it nothing happens. Anyone have a clue? Could it be the 1.29 update?

What firmware are you on now? Check settings about phone.

That's what I'm saying. I couldnt even get any info on what the update was. But it's a pretty big file. Hopefully it doesn't prevent the HTC Dev Unlock because we are dealing with AT&T.

The prevention of Dev Unlock is totally on HTC. Unless AT&T is pushing a new Hboot, which MIGHT block it, but it is easier for AT&T to contact HTC and tell them to block the AT&T phones from the procedure.
Yeah you're right I was a little paranoid because I didn't want another HTC One X situation. I rooted and rommed my other One but haven't done this one so I guess I can just test it out and see what happens. And btw, do you know what the current hboot is right now?

I read the other day that a similar update hit the international version and it is believed to be a prep update for 4.2.2
I guess they are breaking the update into parts to make it easier?

Never heard about that. Could be true. Checked the hboot and it has not changed. I've seen literally no changes. It's just kind of puzzling. For such a big file how could it not do anything?

I just did a check for update on my AT&T one, and nothing found.
I am stock rooted though so not sure if that is an issue
Just checked in Iowa on both my ones and nada

At&T did something similar when the LGOG finally updated to Jellybean. The update wasn't that big, but they rolled out a "patch" via OT then a week later JellyBean.
I'm curious to see if this is real and what it does!

Hmmmm...... No update in Southeast Texas either....... Maybe we're all not special!
I just really hope it doesn't prevent any of my rooting or romming capabilities. What I will do is try it out after work tonight at let you know if I can still unlock bootloader and root. But I'm just so confused. The installation took FOREVER. Just to see no change. I really hope it's just a prep for 4.2

Hey, the same thing happened to me. I live in Ecuador, had to manually update with RUU. Then only downside is that everything gets erased.

Hello,
That is for the developers edition. You either are using a developers edition on T-Mobile's network or you changed your T-Mobile version to a developers edition at some point.

I haven't done anything I only flashed a 4.3 stock firm

So if I go back to stock and check for the update and if it's not there who do I get to yell at? I'm 100% sure T-Mobile has not pushed 4.4

Hello,
No need to upload it as it can be downloaded right from HTC. Again this is for the developers edition HTC One.

If you are on stock ruu then it shouldn't let you install the developer's edition. Something is glitching but better a glitch than you install a version that isn't for your stock version. It could give you more problems than its worth. If your stock, wait for end of Jan, that's all there is to it.

I am not familiar with RUU. If I install this on a stock rom on HTC One. What would be the end result?

I am considering buying a HTC droid DNA but I would first like to know if it is still possible to unlock the bootloader without S-offing the phone or is this phone a lost cause at this point and should I just wait for the HTC one

two ways:
if you have adb installed
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
or just hold [Power + Volume Down]
Did this get taken out of the AT&T M8?
