My device, running mtk 6572 has minor lags in the ui, which are rarely observable. But whenever i'm scrolling down in any app, no matter how slowly, it goes smoothy but is always interrupted at the borders, like in calendar, at the border between two months,in play store home page, after each app tile; or in es file explorer, after each folder while in list view. It happens in every app but is more visible in these. can the framework files be modified in any way to solve this issue, as I've already tried the smooth scroll tweak in my framework file and am also sure my device is not slow.

Being relatively new to Windows Mobile (long time Palm user), I'm trying to come to grips with some of the quirks of this platform.
I would like to group my shortcuts into logical areas such as applications, utilities, media, etc and was able to create folders and move the shortcut link files into those folders. So far so good.
However when I went into some of these folders by accessing the Programs folder, I was faced with a huge delay before all the icons showed up on screen. I also ran into a problem when uninstalling some programs only to find they left the shortcut behind (because it was not in the expected location I assume). I ended up undoing all I had done and now my shortcuts appear quickly again, but of course there are now a large number of them all in the Programs folder which is what I was trying to avoid.
How do people normally deal with the fact that every program installs a shortcut in the default Programs folder and you end up with an unwieldy number of shortcuts in one place?
I've not had an issue with this, as if the icons are in the programs folder there is sufficiant cache for this to be scrolled relatively quickly.
The last 4-6 applications are available on the quick launch area of start menu anyway...
May I suggestion something like SPB Pocket Plus or some other of SPBs finest apps if you wish to sort your icons out... you can have them on the deskop then for faster access...

When accessing the WLAN for the first time a keyboard does not appear to enter WLAN password. A notification has appeared which is prompting to select keyboard type. The default setting seems to be Remote Keybaord (MyPhoneExplorer). This doesn't seem like a good default.
I can't access new ringtones. It says unable to connect even though I then go on to add and sync a google account. (so there's nothing wrong with the internet)
Under "Clock" the word "StopWatch" doesn't fit inside the screen. It says Stopwa and then runs out of space.
"News and Weather" crashes upon launch.
Gallery crashes when selecting what I assume is a contrast adjuster in the lower left. (Looks like three circles intertwined)
Gallery seems to have issues with images that contain transparency. A garbled version of another image is shown in the transparent parts. (When viewing a single image and swiping left / right to view next)
I'm not crazy about the "Bee-do bee-do" loader screen. Maybe others like it but I'd prefer something more sedate.
Hello,
yesterday I posted some bugs in another thread in reply to a posting aiming the Zopo Speed 7 (without plus). But this is the Zopo Speed 7 Plus forum, so I guess it's a good idea to start a new thread.
After recognizing some bugs with the ROM installed on the phone and doing the OTA-Update I decided to set up the phone completely new with the ROM 20150820-222820, that can be found on zobomobile.
After restarting the phone, some bugs seemed to be fixed:
- Small window view (round clock) in combination with the smart cover seemed to work now
- Ringtones are loud enough (for me, maybe not for other users)
- Widgets still operate after restart
Then I did some settings and after a while the Small window view starts again to misoperate. Sudden fade outs, dead screen, not wake up with Power-Button... After some hours I discovered, that the setting, to set the screen brightness depending on amient light is causing the error. If you switch this option on, closing the smart cover seemed to teel the phone: it's totally dark, switch off screen. Ok, I do not really need this option.
After a couple of reboots the widgets started to keep empty again. Grr... Changing the Launcher did not help.
But a little good news: I started Google Maps Navigation and the screen stayed on several hours. No sudden switch off anymore.
And the GPS fix is now in less than 5 seconds.
Maybe someone can find out, how to fix this annoying bug with the widgets.
Other bugs:
- if you change the default launcher with other one, at reboot the phone not save the settings of new launcher and return at default
- the notification of some apps not worked (Facebook, Whatsapp, Tapatalk, ecc.) unless you starts to the apps the first time
I will update as soon as there are others

For widget bug I found a solution but you must have a root. App which widgets you use you must transfer in the system.
With FX File Explorer (you must first install the root addon) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.fx easily transfer it any app in the system.
For example I use HD Widget https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cloudtv.hdwidgets&hl , find HD widgets directory, transfer from data -> app directory in the system -> app directory and reboot. After the boot all widgets from HD Widgets app working normally and smoothly. So I did the same for a few programs and all operating normally :good:
I suppose I do the same with Nova Launcher

Some have a problem with a low sound in the speaker when ringing.
The solution is very simple.
With MTK Engineering Mode https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.themonsterit.EngineerStarter&hl go to MTK Settings -> Software Testing -> Audio -> LoudSpeaker Mode and under level set to Level 6, SET SET. That's it. Now the ringer is even too loud.
In fact the sound through the speakers is enhanced, music, youtube, etc.

I fixed this by rooting and deinstalling the stock launcher with titanium backup. I am using nova launcher instead. Works smoothly.

Works :good:
But the system/app folder has to be mounted as read-write first. Default is read only.
Now I can usw my weather and calendar Widgets normally. Thanks for this solution
Moving to system/app fixes notification problem
Hi, your widget-solution even fixes the problem with apps using an service in the background to receive notifications. :good:
I know bug with the Zopo Speed 7 plus (I guess the Speed 7 also) is that some Apps do not receive notification events in the background.
On my phone neither Whatsapp nor Threema receive ANY notifications after reboot. You have to open the App and after several seconds the
app start to receive sent messages from others. Even if they where sent hours ago. That is really annoying .
After closing the App it receives messages for a little time and then it seems, the App AND its background service is killed by Android. The
killing-algorithm seems to be set to VERY VERY agressive. That's absolutely unnecessary with 3 GB of ram. On my old HTC One X plus I had
1 GB and al works like a charm.
First I got the autostart control feature of the Zopo Speed 7 Plus in mind, but no settings (Allow all, Allow Whatsapp/Threema, Deny all etc.)
did work.
Then I thought of your solution, to fix the Widget problem by moving the Apps to system/app. And voila - it works. Whatsapp and Threema
are starting after reboot and stay online all the time. Even after several hours.
But: Are Apps moved to system/app still getting updates via the Play Store?!? I could not find out.
Thanks but...
Thanks for your hint, this could be a solution for this annoying bug. But, i got some questions to do so:
- do i need root? F. e., the system/app is read only, so i think i have to root and change the settings?
- direct moving doesn't work because play store apps are not stored as apk-files, so i have to get an apk-file to move from /download to system/app?
Thanks for your reply, Thomas
My V30 randomly gets laggy on the home screen but doesn't lag anywhere else. I tried enabling "Force GPU Rendering" and even tried closing all apps, and refreshing the ram. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone, until it happens again later on. I'm not rooted, my AT&T Variant doesn't have root available, and I haven't downloaded any sketchy apps.
What widgets/apps are on your home screen? Are you using the default launcher or something else (i.e. Nova, Action, Microsoft...). What is your background set to (static picture, live wallpaper, custom)?

Clock widget, Google Widget, and a ram bar that lets me refresh it when i close an app, however i tried removing each widget one at a time, and then all of them and it didnt solve it.
As for the launcher, I've been using Evie Launcher since i had a V20. Because it's easy to run, I even run it on my girlfriends Moto Z.
Wallpaper is a static image, however the lag started recently, and when i was messing around with live wallpapers, there was no lag.
Just installed Evie on my phone and everything was running buttery smooth. May need to run it for longer to see if it starts to slow down. One thing that jumped out at me was it wanted access to location services to provide suggestions which made me wonder if the lag is actually caused by poor data speed or location information. Does the lag persist on WiFi?

Yes. However i feel this isnt really relevant to me as i have extremely fast cell data, Faster then my 150MB's down and 10 up on my wifi.
Just a list of Android 11 problems and solutions - in case I found one
100% cpu use
This seems to be a problem with fingerprint unlock. Use, for example, pin instead. It seems it is also possible to wake the phone with a double knock before unlocking, and then 100% cpu doesn't occur. But you have to not miss even once or cpu will go to 100%
Recent apps screen shows on opposite screen
When not using the LG launcher, opening recent apps shows on opposite screen, so opening on main screen it appears on dual, and in dual it appears on main.
Solution: it is possible to fix half the problem by force stopping home app. (app info, show system apps, search for home). It solves the main to dual, but not dual to main. Another solution is not use gesture navigation, and instead use navigation bar. This seems to fully solve the problem
Can't see external SD card
(This is not specific to V60) Some apps, such as NES.emu show an empty /storage directory, and thus you can't navigate to the external SD card. I haven't found a solution. For emulators, use the app DIG, which can navigate the full file system, and then launch, for example, NES.emu or retroarch with the right file
