Almost the same instructions for the Aria. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881634, and for your bootloader, see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133446.

1) At the HBOOT screen (volume down + power), what exactly does it say on the very top three lines?
2) When you go to recovery, what do you see? Does Clockworkmod load?
Thanks for answering,

You should use the method described here to flash Clockworkmod onto the device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14693680
However the version they provide on that post is outdated. You should instead download and use this Clockworkmod image file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279257 (extract the img file from the zip file first)
Once Clockworkmod is on the device you can install the ROM of your choice.
I have a rooted HTC Desire C and I wanted to change the font of my phone with Rom Toolbox Pro, the app ask me the reboot of my phone, then the phone stay blocked on the HTC Logo, I have access to the recovery menu, I have ever done a factory reset but it doesn't change anything. I have downloaded the official HTC Rom of my phone at this adress
I don't know how to install it.
Please help me XDA
Is it an RUU or Rom.zip?

Thanks for reply
This is a Rom.zip
Hi I'm rlly new to android... Just switched from iPhone to htc desire x 2 days ago. Anyway, I iv been doing my research and had a few questions-
If I flash a custom rom, how do I go back to factory settings and stock rom?
If I get a custom recovery like clockworkmod, how do I get my stock recovery back-is it just reflashing the ruu?
How do I unlock the bootloader without htc dev, I don't want to void my warranty
How do I take a backup of my stock rom? - if I mess up then how do I use the backup to restore to factory settings?

To install a custom recovery you need to unlock the bootloader on your phone. Once unlocked it can only be relocked with a sign 'RELOCKED' on top of bootloder. Plus HTC has records about users that requested unlock code for their devices. However unlocking of bootloder doesn't deny your warranty but HTC can always claim that malfunction came as a result of your usage.
It's easy to unlock bootloader kust follow the steps on htcdev.com.
To fully return back to stock you just need to flash RUU (Rom Update Utility) that can be obtained here on forum.
You can make a backup of stock rom from custom recovery you flash after unlocking.
Thx for the info, was quite useful, was wondering if there is a official version of cwm for desire x?

Hi,
I installed Custom ROM with an idea that it will improve my phone performance but hell i am seeing sluggish performance in some of the basic phone functionalites like contact searching
I didnt back up my stock rom when i rooted the phone and hence i request you to please share me the WORKING link of HTC Legend Stock ROM (Doesnt matter what android version it has 2.1 or 2.2)
I am fine with it
Thank you in advance
If you want rooted stock then I suggest looking in the dev section there are lots of roms, try using blay0s froyo b0.8.4 it's basically stock with quite a few improvements.
If you want completely stock Rom and no more root goto
http://www.shipped-roms.com and download the correct region for your location they are windows exe files, all you need is USB drivers I believe, from memory HTC sync is all you need.

An important question, how did you root your phone, via htcdev boot unlock or other method?
If htcdev unlock, you will need to relock it or you will get error 155.

You can use some of the toolkits we have to root it :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462567
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943822
Used the all in one toolkit its unlocked it did the twerp and the supersu tbut when I go onto root check it says no root access
Sent from my HTC Desire X using XDA Free mobile app
There is not enough info, so we can't help you that much. What did you do besides running the toolkit? Why do you want to keep the OS and not try another ROM? Did you try to install another ROM (which?), kernel? Are you on ICS/JB? Are you able to run a recovery? Are you able to connect your phone to your PC and execute a fastboot command? If so, what happens if you type 'fastboot devices'? Is there a number shown (we don't need to know the exact number)?
Thanks now I know what info I need to find all I did was download the tool kit and run it. It says unlocked in the bootloader it installed twerp and super su and that's all I did. I'm happy with going with another Rom but it will need to be stable but not knowing much about the different ones I didn't want to be reloading the Rom each week if I keep picking a bad one I only payer £16 for the phone so I was just seeing if I could do it but looks like I know less than I thought will get the other info when I charge the phone.
thanks for your time

This info is from inside your ROM. I understand that you are experimenting and want to install a fresh new ROM? After unlocking and installing TWRP, try the next step: a fresh install of a ROM (i.e. Vimiro).
I've suggested you before to read the tutorials, this page, I know that you are not a fan of reading (as you told me before) but reading this info is just as easy/hard as reading a tutorial.
Try and experiment, (almost) nothing can happen to your phone.
My plan was to get root access remove the bloatware and stick with the phone as is but if there's a stable Rom out there then may as well go for it for what this phone cost me just need advice on what rom to go for
