Flashing bootloader from wrong device. Any fix? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi all,
I need help here. I flashed my verizon note 2 without researching deeply, and I ended up flashing MJ5 custom bootloader for GT-N7100 instead of SCH-i605. This is exactly the same thing user he1calledbubba did in his thread and showing the same symptom.
I just want to double confirm if there's no other way to repair this phone myself. Do you guys have any suggestions or experience that can enlighten me? Thank you all so much!

Is the odin failing while you're putting the correct rom

Nope you found just about the only way to brick an unlocked Samsung device. Never mess with bootloaders.

$3-500 will fix your problem

I agree with you all that there's probably no fix. People had send them to JTAG and had theirs fixed. So I guess that's the next option I will do. Thank you all.

Or similar. Im third, so there can be some mistakes.
Its sth with busybox, but i dont know what.
Maybe we need only to install busybox or reflash soft? Or its permanent and only service helps?

Why dont you reflash firmware? A fresh install?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
unfortunately you have given little and vague information.
What rom is he running ?
Can he getinto recovery or download mode ?
If he can get into one of these 2 modes, then a simple reflash may solve the problem.
If he cannot get into these modes, then you may need to send it in for repair.
He didn't mess with the EFS folder, did he?

And u gave me an answer that firmware reflash can hel. Thanks. We will try it
EDIT: Ok friends friend dont want to wait and gave device to service paying 60pln (~15€, ~20$) for reflash and it helped.

[Q] Problems rooting Note 2

I've been looking through XDA,Rootzwiki, and AndroidForums to try to find what most people thought the best method to root was. I came to the conclusion that using the "Casual" one-click method seems to be the consensual best. I have a problem with it not recognizing my phone. I know that the drivers are installed correctly because Odin recognizes it but for some reason this exploit program WILL NOT. I've noticed reading through the threads that there were a couple other people having this same issue but haven't heard an answer yet. If anyone needs to know anymore about my situation to help me, feel free to ask. Thank you in advance for the advice. This is why I love this community.

Although keep in mind that this way only roots your phone. It does not unlock the bootloader.

[Q] verizon note 2 mess

i have made mess with my note 2 while flashing , i dont know what happen , but no network , internal memory, 4gb , flashing with odin it happned, plz help me, i was rooted first , then i flashed with odin stock rom, plzzzzz help me, baseband , imie, all showing unknown
plz help, plzzzz
Go find all of the stock files needed to flash back to stock. I know there should be at least a PIT and a ROM to flash. Also, try flashing the latest radios through a recovery to see if your baseband comes back. Also, make sure all the files you get are for your specific phone. There are at least 4 variants of the Note 2 so be careful which files you use.

It would help if you actually said what you were flashing and what exactly you did.
The following thread contains instructions on how to root, unlock, and return to stock.

If you would take the time to actually read through any of the stickies, you'd know how to fix your phone. From the sounds of it, you flashed your phone with a ROM/Odin package meant for a completely different device. You need to flash with a full stock Odin package and PIT file to fix things. Read the stickies in the development section. All the information is there, there is no need for hand holding as the step-by-step instructions are already available. I'd also suggest to leave your phone fully stock in the future and not do anything until you learn how to fix it yourself.

If you have the Verizon version of the note 2, SCH-I605, then I have already given you the link that has the odin and pit file.

Exact same problem
I have the exact same issue and flashing back using ODIN and the appropriate PIT file doesn't seem to be working. Plus it is really challenging to get the right driver setup going to be able to re-write the IMEI back to the phone using the other methods on here.
It takes a lot of time and patience, and trial and error. but it isn't helpful to be condescending on here; remember, someone helped you out when you didn't know what you were doing and got stuck at one point or another, whether it was rooting a phone or learning to walk.
@latif_an [and anyone else who ends up here] here is a link to the IMEI restore method using CASUAL.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077653
I'm stuck because I'm on a Mac, and don't have access to PC hardware. But if you have a PC, this in addition to the other link above may help.
lol....im in the same boat, unkown baseband, ime, meid ect. tried flashing back to stock with the pit....on all 3 bases. System boots up fine on all three, but no base band. Try flashing modems and restoring IMEI...and im pretty much at a loss now lol
This is solved problem long back. .. Pl read the like post of the past for solution

Desperate. Need a bootloader file, preferable 4.1.2 please

It's been a nightmare but I'll keep it sweet. I was on 4.1.2 and upgraded to dn3 rom. I was wrongly told I needed to upgrade my bootloader for future roms/etc and not only that was given the file to the n7100.
Essentially I'm trying to recover via Odin, am getting NAND write fails and am attempting to use a .pit file and flash a new bootloader and firmware to get back on track. I can't find these bootloader files anywhere online and would greatly appreciate them and guidance on the issue.
Thank you

[Q] My Mega 6.3 MAY be completely dead

Fixed. Sorry for inconvenience
ianneo said:
Hi guys. I have a Mega 6.3 which has a cracked screen. Since the glass wasn't working, I couldn't unlock (Password lock) it so rather stupidly, I wiped it through the recovery mode. Now it is bricked. I have sent it back to Indonesia to fix it and they say they can't, even if they flash the ROM. I suspect that the bootloader is bricked. Does anyone know what I can do? If I haven't given enough information, please reply and I will try to give as much information as I can. I am sorry if someone has asked the same question but I wasn't able to find a thread about this.
(My Mega is running 4.4.2 Stock ROM and KNOX is flagged and tripped)
