under Settings if you rapidly hit the software version item on the right side of teh screen it brings up a phone dialer...
Just figured I would put that out there.
Someone already started a thread with "secret code screens" in the title in this forum. Pretty cool.

Hi everyone,
I've searched the forums for the past hour or so trying to find out what the thing is that I'm looking for but haven't had any luck, so if anyone can point me in the right direction then I'd be really grateful.
My cousin has a G1 and recently installed one of the SuperCSDI ROMs on it. He showed me an option where on the home screen he presses menu and there was some sort of "Advanced Settings" button, and when he went into it, it allowed him to choose the number of home screens, which home screen was the main one (such as 1st (very left), or 4th (middle), etc) and number of rows of icons in the app drawer menu, as well as various other options.
I don't know if this is the "Advanced Launcher" app because from what I've read that only seems to let you choose "number of rows" but not the number of home screens.
So does anybody know which app/what I'm talking about and if so, is it possible to be installed on Hero either via an .apk file or by flashing a specific ROM that has this built in.
I only use 2 of the 7 screens available so I wonder if decreasing the number of home screens would speed up the phone in terms of RAM usage, etc.
Regards
Hi
I'm running the Tegro Rom 2.4.1 for my GSM Hero, and generally, very happy with it.
Under Personalise, there is an option to change the number of home screen pages from 5 to 7. I did that and it worked initially.
Now, I have noticed I am back to 5 home screens again - and the option under personalise is now greyed out and cant be changed.
I have installed a few themes in the meantime, perhaps one of those has caused problems with it.
Is there any way to get back my 7 home screens - a feature I really enjoyed?
I would have posted this in the actual Tegro forum itself, but it does not allow me to as I've not had 10 posts yet.

Thanks!
Is there a way in VEGAn-TAB 7 to select "Sleep" mode from the menu that pops up when you disengage (now shows "Power Down" and "Reboot" among other selections. but no "Sleep" selection). Also, is there a "Help" capability for Android 2.3.3 or the VEGAn-TAB 7, to give us new-to-Android users some assistance to understand how to use or work with this Android system and this ROM? All this is my first venture into Android land, and even though I've learned a lot by going from screen to screen and menu to menu, I could really use some additional help info along the way. For example, some of the icons and what they are for is unclear. In the menu, I understood the icon for WiFi and Volume, but not the other icons that are displayed (the volume icon intechanges with another unknown icon). Thanks for any help on this.
This is especially frustrating to me because I'm an old (now closing in on 76 years) technical writer who wrote PC software and hardware manuals for close to 25 years. But that's another story.
I figured out how to enable the measurement tool in the dell gallery app after the update that removed the functionality.
Within the app, go to settings then tap the app version number (it said 'Gallery 1.3.1' in my case) several times quickly and debug options will appear. Tick the option for "show measurements" and you are in business.

@beestee thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm on my Venue.
I am quite surprised the Venue community hasn't grown to the unit having its own forum. This is an amazing device.
I'm new at the forum so...big hello to everyone!
I have a simple question because this thing just shocked me totally. When I was configuring my mother's new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 3/32 with Oreo 8.1 and MIUI 10 I entered Developer's mode easily just to change animation scale of windows (standard thing). Later I ran something called "Control Panel". It scanned whole phone and informed me that "Developer's options" was repaired or sthg like that. Interested, I went through menu to Dev opions and realized that it...dissapeared My next step was to try to activate it again but every time I press few times MIUI version insted of getting info about Dev options activated I have in return this picutre of angry black oreo cookie  When I press it longer it changes to animation of swimming octopussy which position I can change mooving by it's head. That's all. Possibility to activate Dev's options is now blocked and instead of that I have two animations ...for fun. Resetting the phone to factory preset do nothing about that. It's not so important to have this options in my mother's phone but I'm very interested what have happened and if there is a solution for that?
