[PIT] Stock PIT file thread - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Android Developmen

Here is a potential working PIT file for the P600 on MK1 (32gb):
http://relic.gdiny.com/~dasmoover/android/sgn10/p600_MK1.pit
I encourage other members with different devices and different ROM versions to run this command and upload your results:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/devicemodel_romversion.pit bs=1 skip=17408 count=4244
You can check the layout in the tool PIT Magic:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/pit-magic-lets-you-create-analyze-and-edit-samsung-pit-files/
Hope this helps a few people out.
I will update the thread as new models and versions are posted.
Thanks.

Thanks for creating this useful thread
And here`s mine , P601 variant 16GB - MJB

Sm-p600 mk1 16gb
Here is a pit and analysis from my SM-P600-16GB-MK1.

I did a windiff on our 2 analysis files and the only difference was the file names and dates.. shouldn't they have had some variance due to 32 vs 16 gb?

The only issue is none of these are samsung signed so they fail the usual ODIN method.

Samsung has to release one. I have the Source but it doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious.
Or we find a way to flash the PIT without signature analysis.

Here is mine. I guess it is only useful for ppl who is from Turkey cos Samsung created a model which called sm-p602 only for here (Which is almost same with p601 but dont have phone call feature. Meanwhile i am trying to port p601 firmware to this device but i dont have a useful pit. I tried lsherif's pit file yet seems like there are a problem with the pit cos it is not re-partitioning my device and also when i check with pit magic i got error. So an 16 gb sm-p601 pit will be useful if someone upload

So anyway to signed them Cuz I'm suffering from some proplems and no pit file can work on my s6500 via Odin so I created pit file from this method anyway to flash it or sign it to be flashable via odin

Sorry to ask such a stupid question...but what the heck does a PIT file do that helps out? Not trying to be an ass, just don't get it. Or is it just another name for the firmware file?
don't recall it being called a PIT when i was working on my previous samsung devices anyways....i had one of these tablets but returned it because there was zero dev going on - now there's a small amount, but it's just not seeming to be worth the huge cost of the device to me. Which sucks, because it's a killer unit... if samsung was to release the LTE model in north america then that would be more alluring... HEAR ME SAMSUNG? RELEASE IT DAMNIT!

Hello i tried to execute the script but it doesn't work. I see cmd screen opening and closing very fast. Can somebody make a tuto to extract .pit file.
Thanks

The PIT Files are essentially useless unless we find a signed version or another method of flashing it to the device.

Hello. Can someone upload sm-p605 16GB pit file. I bricked my tablet so I can't do anything, and I think I damaged my hidden - /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 I guess I was formatted it wrong format. I can't flash any ROM's via Odin, I can flash recovery, root using Odin.

You need a proper root - Super SU; a proper installed Busybox then plug it into PC, open EFS professional or some program that allow to extract all partition you need. That's at least thing I knew from owning Note 2.

[Q] Request for stock Galaxy player 4.0 ROM.

Hi, can someone who has the US version of Galaxy Player 4.0 (yp-g1cwy/xaa) please make a flashable rom backup of the firmware and upload it?
Thanks
I have access to a 4.0 player recently bought from amazon. How would I go about dumping the rom? Would this also dump the persons information with it or is the memory range limited to just the rom?

You will need a rooted device first, but that can be easily done if you just search around the forums.
Twobits, or anyone could you please make the firmware from the guide given?
The other day I let my friend use my player, and he was stupid and opened titanium backup and accidentally deleted a whole bunch of system apps. I had not backed then up yet, and so now my device is super buggy and many things don't work right.
Just use terminal emulator from the market and first type "su" (you need to root your device first), then copy paste those commands under system, kernel, and recovery to create three files on the root directory of your phone. Then can you upload them to a site (such as mediafire, megaupload, etc) and post or pm me the links?
Thanks. I would really appreciate it if you could help me.
Can anbody please help me?
I really need the firmware urgently.
Thanks.

for the system instead of stl10 its stl9 and for kernel its bml7 instead of 8.
l (minus L)
from choucas06:
But you only have to make a backup a of the Sytem and the Kernel (recovery is not needed).
To backup the system, the correct command for YP-G1 is :
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/stl9 of=/sdcard/factoryfs.rfs bs=4096
For the kernel, it is :
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/bml7 of=/sdcard/zImage bs=4096

When odin recognize this mode it's a form a download mode. At this point you have 2 choices.
1. send to samsung for a little fee
2. hope for someone to backup a rom
I would like to help you but I have a non-US player (maybe that depends of what you have)
I have backup files I did with terminal emuator, don't know what to do with them though, I read you need to have linux to make a backup rom, I only have windows.
Why would samsung charge, isnt it under warranty?

You are probably looking for a foolproof rescue firmware, with PIT included, as flashing just a PIT will produce a hardbrick.
Instead try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30087735&postcount=6
Follow the instructions EXACTLY, doesn't matter about 32 or 16Gb memory size.
If you think you need a PIT file then your motherboard is probably already beyond repair.

I would keep well away from pit files if i where you! You should only use pit files if you can't boot your phone and have tried everything else pit files have the potential to brick your device..That said have you tried using a root explorer to look at your system files?
Edit just seen you have a T mobile edition you need to post your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-t-mobile any advice or files flashed from this forum could brick your device.

What's the point of posting meaningless comments on XDA!! Every comment you have made in peoples post's is useless and not helpful do you want to get band before you have even started. If you have nothing to say that's is constructive and helpful to the thread then don't post or you will be reported!

Indeed the i9300T is the same as the i9300 in all hardware aspects.
The 'T' version has the baseband optimised for the 850 Mhz frequency range to get a better reception from Telecom.
Its an Australian/New Zealand Version

If the hardware is exactly the same, you can probably flash the e120s firmware on the e120k device. If anything is different between the K and S devices, it won't work. If the placement of the hardware keys along the bottom edge are in a different arrangement between the two devices, it won't work. For example, my S2 SPH-D710 is very similar to i9100, the only difference is the bottons at the bottom are in a different arrangement on the two devices, the search button is where the menu button should be and menu is where search should be, also, screen rotation is different. Up on i9100 is down on D710. I could flash i9100 firmware on d710 and everything works but everything is backwards.

Make sure that the firmware that you tried is not made for a device that has more internal storage space.
For example, if your device has 8GB internal and the firmware that you tried is for a device that has 16GB internal, it won't work, regardless of what PIT that you use.
