Help with Unxbricking - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a galaxy ace 2 that is stuck at the Samsung logo, I am still able to access Clockwork Mod recovery, I tried factory resetting etc.
I also tried using Odin sometimes the device would connect but when I click the start button it always fails saying "complete write operation failed"?
What do I do ?

if you wiped everything, that means you wiped /system which means you have no OS anymore.
take out the battery --> put it back in --> hold power and volume down --> and flash a rom via odin/heimdall
I cant get into download mode, by pressing vol down and power, but the kernel animation runs

[Q] Too much rebooting time after factory reset

Hello all
I was doing factory reset on my Samsung Galaxy y duos GT-S6102 using ClockWorkMod recovery. For this I followed these steps. After it, on rebooting the system, it's taking too much time. It has already been upto 8-9 hours and still in process and it's being annoying now
Please tell me what's the general time it takes to reboot after formatting using ClockWorkMod recovery?
Sounds like you wiped your system partition, flash a new ROM or a backup

Thanks for the reply demkantor. Yes I wiped my systems partition. So what to do now to get my phone start? For flashing a new ROM it requires the phone to be switched on.
Can you not boot into bootloader or recovery?

I am booting it into normal mode. Doesn't work
So you are saying you can not boot into recovery or bootloader no matter how hard you try? The only thing you can do is boot to os and it fails?
There is no way of getting into recovery mode or bootloader?

No, I am saying that I tried both recovery or bootloader mode, it fails. And even booting in normal mode fails. The only thing I am seeing for hours while booting is the black screen with my phone name.
Unfortunately if you can't get into bootloader and have no functioning os or recovery there is nothing to do but JTAG, unless you phone has a download mode function. I'm unfamiliar with your specific phone but many samsungs have a download mode, can you get into this.

Yes....my Galaxy y duos GT-S6102 has download mod. What to do with it now?
Use Odin or hiemdall to flash back to stock, it will be like the day you got your phone, everything but SD card will be returned to stock.

Pull battery & SD card, boot into recovery, try factory reset or simply reboot prior to flashing stock. And give it a few.
What rom did you flash, etc? Details please.

[Q] Factory reset after Rooting phone

Recently I factory reset my rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 without really thinking. Now on reboot, it seems to be stuck on the ' Samsung GALAXY SII GT-19100' start up screen (with the yellow triangle). I realized after I did the factory reset that it was a bad idea so any help would be greatly appreciated
If it helps, I am rooted with Jeboo Kernel
I've done a number of factory resets.....in both the android menu and cwm........
All it does is wipe any user installed apps and user settings.....it doesn't even get rid of photos taken using the phones camera......so it doesn't affect whether your phone boots or not.......

So, how do I fix this problem. Cannot even turn off the phone as it goes black and then straight into this screen. Can get into download screen though.
OK....so you can't boot the phone....
And I'm guessing you can't access CWM?
In that case, you only really have one option......flash a stock firmware via Odin and re root.......

[Q] Galaxy S2 i9100 won't root

Hi,
I am trying to flash my S2 using Odin, and no matter what I try I always get the same result.
It doesn't work.
The phone will go in to the mod where I press the volume down button, home and power, but if I try to press up, home and power notkinh happens.
It all started a few days a go when it started getting stuck in a loop, just showing samsung mobile logo and it won't go further than that.
When I start Odin, it recognises the device, starts normally, and then it says Complete(Write) operation failed.
I've attached a screenshot, please help if you can.
If I try adding the pit file then the situation in the second picture happens, it goes on and on and on..
thank you in advance

ok, thank you, i also have speedmod, do i use the pit file as well? or without it?
the problem is i can't go into recovery mode to install new firmware so first i guess i have to flash it with odin
i have tried using every frickin guide there is if you know of one that has all the steps and all the files for download in one place, and explained like to an idiot I would be very grateful
You tried to flash an s3 kernal. There's an s2 kernel, check everything before flashing. You are lucky the phone didn't bricked.

can you help? any tips?

Check if you have kies running in the background. Kill any instant of kies. Or some software such as bluestacks.
Then try again. It takes only less than 1 minute or so for kernal flashing

Search for @Hopper8s guide "troubleshooting a failed Odin flash".
It's stickey'd in the S2 general section.......
It has ALL the info (and resources/links/downloads) clearly laid out, that you could ever possibly need to restore your S2 to life........

Flash 4.1.2 stock with Odin. See if it boots up. If not factory reset in recovery and see if it boots. For root flash philz kernel either in stock recovery or with Odin. Like its been pointed out by mb...you will be lucky if you haven't damaged it beyond "flashing something to fix it" repair.
Also why are you using a pit file??!??!?
