I have motorola droid razr xt910. It truned off and i can't turn it on. It works only when it on charge. Battery is low, cause i can't charge it, cause it reboots all time. I want to flash it with PhoenixCard Tool, using microsd card. Where i can get firmware for my device in .img format?
As far I know you will have to get a Motorola factory cable I found them on eBay for less than 10$

I live inUkraine so i need to wait about 3 weeks
Yeah i understand. I just think from my research that is the only way unless some here had another idea

I saw a web page suggesting a way to recover without a factory cable but I don't recall where. It involved a sequence of button pushes (e.g. vol up + volume down + power followed by another button sequence). Some people reported success others did not. It would be worth a try. I will keep looking, but you can probably find it if you do some web searching on something like "xt910 or xt912 won't charge"

Have you tried this (not the instructions I mentioned earlier: still looking for those)? Hold the screen lock button, and the volume down button for around 10 seconds. This is the same as taking out the battery on an older phone, basically resets the hardware.

I tried it it did not work for me but maybe for him all we can do is hope.

I've had my Razr Maxx for 3 weeks now and love it. I'm completely stock and haven't rooted yet. The issue I'm posting about is that when I go to a link from the results page after a Google search, then hit the back button, it returns me to the Google home page, not back to the results. I then have to retype and search again. It does this in all browsers I've tried. Is there a setting I'm overlooking to have it return to the results? Thanks

Mine does this as well periodically, its slightly annoying.

Happens to me also. Power cycle clears it up for awhile
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
I've tried after a power cycle, no change. It does it every time, without fail, since day one. I'm trying to train myself to open each link in a new tab, but it is extremely annoying.

I just downloaded and tried Opera browser for the first time. The back button took me to the results page, as it should. I'll keep using it for a while and see if it continues.

Thanks. Tried the battery pull. The stock browser now works correctly. No such luck with Dolphin.

Some people have reported good results after turning off instant results from within google. In other words in the web sites settings.

Hi, rooted, Maxx, Eclipse ROM.
This happens sometime to me, too. I long press when it does, and open new tab (if I'm in Dolphin, or browser).
Drives me nuts too when it does!

How is Opera these days? I tried it a couple years ago and found the Android version a huge disappointment compared to Opera on an old WinMo phone I used to have.
I hadn't tried Opera since early on with my DX. I've been using it since yesterday afternoon and, so far, I'm happy with it. And the back button is working correctly, although the first press zooms out, then goes back on the second press. I haven't checked the settings yet to see if you can change that or not. It's fast and smooth and it seems stable, so I'll likely stay with it.

opera MOBILE, not "mini" is the best Android browser by far IMO, dolphin second place.
Ok so i usually charge it with a wall charger and a car charger if im not home. I was in a call and i had hung up and after that i disconnected it from the car charger. It then turned off all the way. I connected it ti wall charger and still nothing. Ive tried soft reset. If i connect to laptop it gets solid white LED. I really wanna use it D: HELP
Did you try to boot into recovery? Push volume up and down and power buttons at the same time and hold this will take you to a screen where you can choose to reboot, wipe cache, ect

My power switch started acting funny yesterday. It won't work if I push it directly, but if I slide my finger up across the switch as I push it down, it will work reliably.
This may not be related to your problem, but worth a quick try.

This happened to my razr maxx last month and even with a factory cable it was toast. Go to droidrazr.com forums and search making your own cable out of a usb cable to jump the phone. Sorts like jumping a cars battery. You will have to take apart your razr though. Another reason i hate this phone doesnt have a removable battery.
It is removable, just not without the case being removed first & why did you create two threads about this?

If you had been paying attention to your own thread you would have noticed that the "Delete" comment was not aimed at the thread.
I posted then changed my mind about it so it was aimed at deleting my own post.
Same thing happend with my razr 2 weeks ago. I tried all things what I found on forums (incl. battery remove -yes, it is very simple- , factory cable, all type of key combinations) but without result. So I gave up and my razr is in repair center now and probably will get new motherboard. I've read somewhere on verizon forum that "rarely, but the cpu itself is crashing" and that could be the reason why the factory cable or battery remove doesn't help. I think this could be same as a damaged BIOS chip in a PC, you can push the power button but PC will not react to that.
If you want , i will buy your phone as it is , with its problem

I have my settings to vibrate on touch but for some reason it randomly stops vibrating and comes back randomly.
For instance, right now as I write this there is no vibration when I press the keys on the keyboard.
I noticed it after the first time I rooted the phone. After rooting everything was fine. Decided to go back to stock 211 and unroot for the time being. I was using Matts utility and it froze for some reason. It got stuck on writing the webtop part for over an hour so I knew something was not right.
I turned the phone off, closed the utility and started all over again and it went through fine. From since then I've been able to root, flash roms, revert back to stock 211 all using the utility but my vibrations act funny.
I never had the vibrations on touch turned on when I was on gingerbread so I don't know if it's just my phone or if it was the unrooting freeze or what? I never really complained about it but I would like to know if anybody else's phone does this?
try slapping the bottom of your phone against your palm (kevlar against palm) a friends razr did this and that seemed to work, it went awway after a few days
I might sell this phone and roll with something else.

I have the same issue but I have not rooted it. Also, to get a temporarily fix which lasts for a minute or so, I have to shake the phone. I think the vibration motor is failing.

It's good to know others have the problem too. I thought my phone may have been defected or else I messed it up trying to unroot it the first time round. I might try to get the Maxx HD. But then again it's better off to wait lol, this phone game is moving too fast.

I never attempted to use a headset with my phone. I've used headphones for music and movie listening and they were all fine. I don't lose data at all when using headphones.

I had this problem too. I reloaded Arctic from scratch making sure to format cache and Dalvik and that still didnt help.
What fixed mine was booting into Safestrap Recovery, going into Advanced, and selecting Fix Permissions.
I realize this won't help the non-rooted folks.

I'll keep that in mind if I root again.

I tried this and it didn't help. The suggestion above (slapping the back of the phone) seems to be working, though. I wonder if my telephone (Razr i) is defective, this started after rooting and unlocking the bootloader. I tried with the GB and EU JellyBean stock ROMS, and I'm currently using this one, all with the same results, does anyone have a similar issue?
I've dealt with two buddies' RAZR phones (Original, and MAXX) and they both have failing vibrator motors. Seems like a hardware design issue. Good thing I went with the Note 2
same issue
motorola razr max
rooted
boot menu manager
tested on all my custom rom (CM10.1 , AOKP , JB 4.2.1) and same issue
anybody have this issue in OTA update and updated bootloader (JB 4.1.2) ?
New Razr maxx owner. I bought it used but it's working great. It was wiped clean and ICS already updated.
Just bought an HD dock but the Maxx is not going into dock mode when plugged in. I downloaded Razr Dock and could use that manually, but not sure why it's not working?
I know it's the phone and not the dock as I was able to plug it into my Bionic dock (upside down) and it charges but doesn't go into dock mode either.
Is there a setting somewhere to tell it to go into dock mode when connected? I searched a lot before posting this but couldn't find an answer.
Thanks
It's unlikely, but could the webtop or any webtop related services be frozen, uninstalled, or otherwise missing? Have a look and see just in case.

I just tried a factory reset and still no luck.
I'm rooted but nothing else at this point.
Think it's just a problem with the hardware of the phone?
any other ideas?

I really couldn't say for sure. The RAZR is notorious for its poor port design, though. I had to send mine in after dropping it, as the device kept telling me it was connected to HDMI when it clearly was not. Maybe it's a similar issue?
Try using this utility

Enable USB debugging on phone to use and plug into pc.
Then run the utility and choose option 1. Then follow the prompts. Should work.

I have my xt910 for about a year now (bought it brand new) and I have spotted some digitizer issues. Before rooting my device I've noticed that sometimes the recognized touch point was far away from the actual touch point. It actually was at the same vertical line, but far higher. Imagine pressing the space virtual key and the recognized touch is about at the middle of the screen.
So one of my first moves was to root the device, as I thought it would be a software issue.(Here in Greece the device won't upgrade to the official 4.1) Still no luck though after trying several ROMs, so my second thought was the scratched screen protector that I had from the first day I bought it. After replacing it, still the problem persists...
What else should I try to fix this??
PS1: It doesn't do this all the time, but randomly, and it randomly fixes itself.
PS2: When it does it, I think it recognizes 2 spots, the actual touch point and one more above that.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Does this happen when running on battery or while plugged in the charger?
My phone previously used to sense the touch wrongly but only when it was plugged in to power. I changed my charger and things are good!

As long as your bootloader is still locked then your warranty is good. Do you have an unlocked bootloader?

I had to send my phone in to get a replacement so what I did was delete all the data and cache from my rooted apps before deleting them. I also went into my file manager and deleted all files that had anything to do with root off my system and finally re flashed via RSD lite. That got rid of root access but idk about the bootloader cause mine is locked still.

That should work for you. I had an incredible 2 with unlocked bootloader that I had to send it for a warranty issue and I just used an unroot method. I'm guessing it worked cause I never got charged for the new phone or anyone contacting me about it. I didn't use RSD though. The unroot method never said anything about locking the bootloader again, just removing root access. I'm assuming it locked it though. I would look into if RSD will lock the bootloader again if you were to flash back to stock.
