[Q] Password Rejected After Upgraded Firmware - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Hi Guys,
I need your help.
I have updated/upgraded my Z ultra to Android 4.3 via PC Companion.
After the upgrading process finished, it booted and request my password to decrypt
The problem is it reject my password. so, It cannot load the system.
FYI, I always encrypt my phones, and I have no problems with my other phones when upgraded the firmware.
Is there anyway to solve this problem? or if I have to factory reset or reinstall, how to do it? as I understand Z Ultra has no stock recovery.
Thanks in advance

[Q] Xperia Z2 freezing unexpectedly

Good evening!
My significant other is the one who owns an Xperia Z2 and I just want to help her about what's happening to her phone.
The situation is that updating to Android 6.0 is not a good idea because ever since she updated her Z2, a persistent problem goes to show. Few days after updating to Android M, the phone lags every now and then and eventually ends up on a bootloop. Now on my part, I did a recovery through Sony Companion using a PC and then restored it to it's factory state. I thought we fixed the problem until few weeks passed and it happened again (lags-freeze-bootloop). I did the same process of restoring it every time it enters boot loop but the problem still arise.
I have little knowledge about how Sony Xperia phones work since it mainly relies on Sony Companion because usually Xperia phones have their bootloader locked unlike ASUS' and Samsung's phones.
I can't identify if this is a hardware or software issue because as for my observation, the problem just arise on Android 6.0
What could be the problem of her Z2 and what is the best possible solution to do?
Thanks in advance and God bless.

Use flashtool by androxyde to reflash the whole MM FW of your region and carrier. If it doesnt work, flash an older version of FW ( KK or LP ) to see if the problem still there.
Btw, is your phone rooted?

Thanks for the reply
Her Z2 isn't rooted, also there is no access to recovery mode since I can't enter recovery when I pressed the button combination.
Should I restore it with Sony Companion and then enable usb debugging so that I can enter recovery mode? If not, can you give me a heads up on what should I do? Thanks

Head over to flashtool and download an older android FW through it. And then flash it using flashtool.
Sent from my Sony Xperia Z2 using XDA Labs
Got the same problem with the latest stock version of my carrier, which I believe is 6.0. This problem also appears with Existenz ROM v5.1.0 which runs Android 6.0.1. Will try an older version of Android and test if the problem keeps appearing.
Thank you all,

No recovery mode?

Two days after getting my XA Ultra, I received the latest firmware update. Everything was flawless until I couldnt unlock my phone since the system ui was crashing. I tried booting to recovery mode and perform a basic factory reset and I could not.
I plugged my device to my PC and for some reason, the system ui stopped crashing. I tried going to settings and factory resetting it from there, every time phone would reboot, it would boot android back again without resetting my data.
I ended up using the software repair option and here I am still at 40% trying to fix it.
What combination keys should I use to boot my device to recovery mode and reset it?

It seems it's a security problem. The phone is encrypted by So Sony and every time I set a password an error occurs and it makes the settings app crash. I managed to run a "software repair" using the Xperia companion which downloaded the latest firmware and reinstalled it onto the phone but bug is still there.
I contacted Sony but tech support agents are always rude and helpless they had no technical knowledge. I am now using the phone but I cannot set a pin or pattern otherwise the system crashes.
Phone is under warranty I could easily mail it back to Amazon but I wouldn't like another customer to have this issue. Any suggestions?
In this case I would recommend the use of Flashtool. Your problem is software related and can easily be fixed without the painful process of an RMA.
Flashtool can auto download the latest firmware and will do a COMPLETE wipe and reflash of all data.

Recover data in internal memory

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to get back some data from a phone which is not starting android after a failed OTA update done by motorola.
The phone is a moto G 3 gen (XT1541). After an error occurred in the update and restarting the phone, it is in a constant bootloop.
I can switch off the phone in the recovery menu, but until now no luck in retrieving the data.
I have read this guide with no luck. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426426
The phone is not able to connect in adb mode (or I didn't find a way). I can connect it in adb sideload though it doesn't help in my purposes.
There is a way to install a new system without loosing the data? the version that appears in the recovery menu is "osprey reteu 2gb 6.0.1 mpis24.107-55-2-12/14".
The phone is full stock, no custom bootloader or ROM. Same for the OTA update.
Any help is much appreciated.

Unauthorised action have been detected

Hello android fans!
I got used SM-G925F (android 6.0.1) every 10 mins receive warning from KNOOX: Unauthorised action have been detected. Restart, reset, wipe dont work. Tried root phone to remove KNOOX security, but without success. I got OTA update to Nougat, but it cant finish upgrade (i think because of this error). Right now i dont have PC where to connect phone, so reflash new rom is not option right now. Maybe someone else got same problem and got solutions?
