I apologize in advanced if this is the incorrect place to post this but, does anyone seem to be having an issue with the new XDA Premium app that was released a few months ago? Ever since it's initial release I have always had a page scrolling issue. Each time I scroll down it jumps back up a few posts and repeats which doubles to quadruples the amount of effort it takes to scroll through topics/posts. This is not device specific either. I have had this issue while using the new XDA Premium app on the Droid RAZR M, Wifi Nexus 7 (2012 edition), Samsung Galaxy S4 and my current HTC One. Although it wasn't much, I paid for this app and would imagine updates to improve the usability of the app itself, not degrade it. Any input on the current issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Has anyone else had issues with the XDA App FCing when trying to post from it? I don't have the paid version although I am not sure that would make a difference? So, instead, I just view the XDA forums using the browser.
I don't have Flyer, but at my eLocity A7 it forceclosed too (from february till now). It seems that developer forgot about this app.
I'm using Tapatalk instead...
I have the same problem. As long as I don't login, I can view topics. If I log in, I get force close...
Not saying its a real fix but I did switch to the premium app and it did take care of it no more crashing for me

FCs as soon as I log in. Doesnt even save my login credentials
I know this issue, that's why my software number is still 1.38.xx. I encounter this issue with 2.xx software no. also dolphin browser always in medium zoom on 2.xx. So I just revert to 1.38 build. no bugs, and I don't need phone functionality.

So not sure if this has been discussed previously but it would definitely help back up the need for improvement in the antenna or network. This app basically pings the cellphone towers for data and reports it, you can read more on the link below.

Could somebody post this question on the app home page, I don't wanna sign up for yet another site lol...
Will the fact that I'm using a US Cellular PRL on a Spring phone screw with the results?

nice app thanks bro
just so you guys know this app is collecting our IMEI and ESNs (unique device id) i just started a thread on their forum asking them why.
edit: they changed the app so they no longer store our IMEI or ESN and added some security to the app. i am impressed by their response and just installed the app.
I figure both to distinguish what device and what network

Good info.
Also, be prepared for your battery life to decrease. These apps/services have been around for a while, and most users complaints are that the apps constantly running in the background kills their battery because it doesn't allow the phone to sleep properly.
So is this app basically like Sensorly?

I took the top spot in one of the areas I live in but where u i live Verizon beats all by a big margin

Well battery is debatable given you adjust the interval.

I used qpst to change my carrier banner and it screws it up that's what the app uses to find what carrier u are on

I've noticed that my XDA app on the Galaxy S3 (ATT) is eating up alot of battery. Ate almost 40 minutes of CPU. One time when I went into task mananger, it showed high CPU usage and I wasn't even using it for a while (so it was idle). I also noticed this with the Engadget app.
Anyone notice anything similar? Just seems like they should be sleeping and not using CPU in the background...
Try reinstalling them. I haven't had this problem with either :/
See attached. My screen has been on about an hour and xda for 50 min.

All I can think of is to reinstall. It shouldn't be doing this obviously
I've uninstalled and reinstalled before those screenshots.

Well no idea then, sorry. You could force stop them when you aren't using them.

i'm having the same issue. att sgs3 completely stock never flashed rooted or odined. my phone also seems to stutter and lag a bit more than i was lead to believe it would but i really only started to notice it after installing xda.
i have been using the xda app quite a bit today but an app doubling the screen in battery drain just seems wrong.
xda app cpu times:
total: 2h30m
foreground: 55m
i'm thinking about flashing the stock firmware odin package....... but i'm also thinking about trading in my blue for a white and i think the obvious lag stutter problem might help me avoid restocking fees.
oh what to do?
so no one else is having this problem? just us two?
I'm having this problem as well. I had 90% when I went to bed. 6 hours or so later when I woke up I had 50% left :/

I have also been having this problem since my s2. You can see in the task manager its running about 10 pct in the background. Never found a way to stop this apart from manually closing the app in its settings or force close.
I have been having the exact same issue with my XDA app. It just sucks the battery, using 20-35% on average. This is very odd as I have never had a problem with the xda app before. This is an app issue, hopefully they will update this.

I also have this problem. I've been manually fcing the app. I assumed it was due to the app trying to serve adds. But I don't really know

Guys, I've had a little better luck...at least its not killing the CPU total (was above 20% before on idle). I've disabled notifications in the settings and I've also disabled the 2 listeners using AutoRun manager.
Does anyone here who is experiencing xda app battery drain have a rooted device with an ad blocker? I have never had this issue with the xda app and the only thing that has changed other than the phone is not being rooted /ad free. My guess is ads are somehow causing this problem.

Lol....that made my day "poking with a stick...." On a more serious note, HD voice is part of network vision updates/upgrades currently being rolled out and you also need to have a phone capable of HDvoice (ie: EVO LTE) plus prolly a couple others possibly. So its kinda active but requires a phone and the network actively broadcasting the signal between callers. Hope that makes sense and helped explain the quietness about the feature.

Nice
I don't have a HTC one but you could try turning on the "force gpu rendering" option in the developer options setting.
Or you could have a app that's misbehaving in the background and stealing your cpu power.
Download watchdog and see if anything out of the ordinary is running in the background.
