Battery depends also alot on your usage. You and I have different usage of our phones so that's why it's impossible for me to know what kernel suits you best, this is also the reason why it's against forum rules to ask 'What's the best/good/decent xxx for my phone?' type of questions. (like this one)
Test out kernels and find one that suits you best. That's the only advice you'll get from me.

Sorry mate

Which rom and kernel (battery)

Hi, I Search sgs2 rom and kernel. My needs is battery life.
On few roms (today) i saw (when rom is new=clean) in battery monitor widget had +100 mA.
I read 2-20 mA is good when phone is not use.
Which rom can give me this Ampers on "sleep"?
now: Now i have 76 mA. Phone not use...
I am on Batista 2.1
And?

truth is, for everyone is different.
There is who got very good battery performance with stock kernel and custom rom, there is who got very god battery performance with custom kernel and custom rom.
And ofc, every variant of the various rom/kernels, got who think battery sux, and who feel battery is fantastic.
I dont think you can have a real answer, best option is to try the most popular combinations.
As for me, im very happy with batista70 and stock rooted KI3 kernel (cf-root)
In short, you have to experiement and find out the combination that gives you best battery performance, also because there is not 2 identical phones, and every phone can act different.

Undervolting the razr screen?

Hey guys, I've recently changed from an s2 to a razr. On the s2 however, it was possible to undervolt the screen with the help of either a custom kernel or a script, such as this one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715151
would it be possible to do the same with our razrs and the stock kernel? it was night and day difference for me in terms of battery life for the s2

yes it is.. the battery savings to the s2 was quite substantial...
i got all the way to kallsyms, but the variables are too different from the s2 for me to recognise them(am just a noob at this tweaking business).

i thought it wasnt a problem cause i asked in terms of battery life..
Too many variables determine how much usage you're going to get out of a charge to be able to definitively say "rom/kernel X" will give you the best battery life.
That's why these threads are frowned upon (essentially a waste of time; you won't have the exact same experience with a given rom/kernel as me).
Only way to get great battery life is to read/learn/tweak/read some more/tweak/etc/etc. All the info you need is on this site, you just have to do a bit of digging to find it.
for me stock roms always have best battery life..
yeah asking a question like whats the best rom is stupid but he asked a concrete question, whats the best rom in terms of BATTERY LIFE. i think its legit but im not a mod to decide. still, it hasnt been removed so i think im right. im also curious btw. thats right u can tweak a lot and improve batt life but there are definetly better roms for battery life, there are some with good performance, others have great features etc.

Haven't you read two posts above you? I think that's why it's not right to ask these kind of questions. And why answering on a question from at least two months ago..?

Battery friendly rom

Hi, can somebody recommend me a rom with good battery life? Actually I have Turkbey's 2.3.6 and I like to change it. I tried Turkbey ICS v12 but it has lower battery life than 2.3.6.
I know the tips to extend battery life but I refer to battery life between two roms in similar usage conditions and not for tips for downgrade the battery consumption.
Should I try ICS or JB or should I stay in GB?
Thank you in advance...
Sorry for my bad english..

Jajajajajaja obviously. I didn't asking what's the best rom!! I only ask for your suggestions based in your particular experience... there are many roms in both sections: development and ported development and I can't try all of them...
Simply there are roms that have more battery life than anothers and if you advice me in that I could try someones to decide which rom I like to use daily.... thank you very much!!

U run different apps than I do. U do different things with your device than I do. The reason he responded the way he did is there is no rom that anyone can say works better than another for ANYTHING because we all use our devices differently. Try one. If u don't like it try another.

It's true, but only when you compare to me, but in most of cases all of us has been tried several roms in identical caracteristics, with the same applications and we know wich of them have special features like battery duration. Same as we can say that "Turkbey" 2.3.6 based have more battery life than "Turkbey" ICS based, all of you can say that some rom have better baterry life than another in identical conditions . . . I understand you are saying, but I'm completely sure you have rom preferences for one or more features . . . if not, why you have your actual rom? Can you evaluate it for development, performance, battery life? This is . . . You can suggest!!
I agree with you if my question had been made "which are the best rom" because there are no the best rom for somebody. Each rom has its features and each one takes the most of it, but you can´t ignore there are some special features for each roms.
Thank´s anyway but I don´t totally agree with you . . . and I know what are I saying . . .

Look battery life is case dependant, so you're wrong. This basically is the same as asking what's the best way rom,

As stated no once can tell you this. Each rom will run differently on each device. I could tell you xyz rom has tons of battery life but for you and your device the battery life is lousy.
