I rooted my GS3, tried to upload a new ROM, finished installing the ROM and hit reboot and it bricked. My PC wont pick it up, neither will Kies and neither will a toolkit. My PC makes connections sounds when I press the power button, but it wont turn on and my PC wont recognize it. Please help me!
Ok, slow down and explain exactly what Rom you where trying to install, and the installation steps you took for a start

it was the revolt ROM from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035365.
it came with a set up wizard which i thought was strange. i went through all the steps that it asked for. then at the end it had a reboot now button and i clicked it. it then powered off and never came back on. when i plug it into the computer it makes a sound like it connected, but then it says the driver failed to install. the driver that it lists is QHSUSB_DLOAD. i downloaded that driver manually from the samsung website and it still says its not found.
when i plug in the phone to a charger without the battery in, the red light comes on for about 1 minute and then turns off. that's as far as ive gotten so far.
Will it boot into recovery?
---------- Post added at 08:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:32 AM ----------
If it does, try wiping cache and dalvik cache and try reboot, failing that you might have to try wiping data

Did you format system before you flashed the Rom?

It will not boot at all. I have tried all the different key combinations. I did not format system but I did choose to wipe data and cache in Rom manager when I said to install from sd.
So you tried to install it via Rom manager?

yes. And then when it rebooted it took me into the wizard to install it step by step. Then at the very end when it said to reboot now, The screen went black and it never turned on again.

I've tried those combinations. It doesn't turn the phone on, but when it's plugged in to the computer and I do that it makes a sound as if a device has been plugged in. Then it fails downloading the driver and doesn't show up. Not even in the adb toolkit.

I forgot to mention that my s3 model is the i747 one if that makes any difference.
Anything you do with help from this forum might damage your phone beyond repair. Better ask in the Q&A sub-forum under AT&T, Rogers, Bell Samsung Galaxy S3 forum.
Good luck!

Yes I tried taking the battery out and that didn't work either. I flashed that Rom because I didn't think there was a difference. Does this mean I'm screwed?

I'm sorry, but it kinda seem you are.
Your device's SKU is not the same as i9300 ones.
You installed the Rom of one device to another, it can easily hard brick your cell which it might have.

Could a Samsung service center fix it? They probably can't tell it's rooted right?
Also, I have a dual boot of Linux on my laptop. Would there be a better chance of Linux recognizing the device?
they can't "fix" it, they'll replace the motherboard. they won't tell if it's rooted. Linux is not better. have you tried a usb jig?

Alright a few questions:
what is a USB jig?
how much do they charge to replace a motherboard?
if they ask me if its rooted should I lie and say no?
also, I think its under warranty, but would rooting it void it and could they tell?
motherboard replacement is around $350. Lying would be insurance fraud, so I can't give you any advice here. They might decline warranty if they find out you're rooted.
And to find out what a USB jig is you can use Google

Hello,
I have the Huawei G750 smartphone. Through my incredible stupidity I have flashed a wrong recovery.img ... now it hangs in Bootloop. I already tried to flash the firmware again with SpFlashTools, gives me "Error 2004"
Is there still a possibility to fix it?
thanks
Do you fixed?
unfortunately not
Unfortunately I am having the same issue now.

I have a tablet with this SoC Allwinner A83T. Its like a generic tablet (OEM) q102a. It has Android 5.1.1 what I managed to root with KingRoot. I followed this to replace KingRoot with SuperSU, and the device stuck in bootloop. Any help/solution would be appreciated. The tablet can go to recovery, but its an android recovery not custom. There is no ADB, ( adb cant see the device) and only what i found is .img image what I cant flash.
I found several frimware in here but dont know how can I flash it.

hi
If you guys has any problem can ask me
cuz I flash my A31s tablet it was success!
i have that soc and trying to access boot loader just show the SPC logo and stay there.
the command 'C:\adb>fastboot.exe oem device-info
< waiting for device >
' isnt working.
help ?
Can you show me the photo?
For the SPC tablet dude (not the q102a), I found the original firmware for mine (Dark Glow model), it has only 2 buttons at the right side, Power and Back.
I can't post URLs, but just google for A83T_N102_N1021L1BC_20151123.img and you should find the location.
There are several firmwares there, check your model for the correct one!
Then flash it with PhoenixSuit and you are good to go!
If more help needed, just say it.

To flash the .img with PhoenixSuit (though I'm sure there are better tutorials out there):
Download and install PhoenixSuit in your PC (version I tried 1.0.0.1).
Open it; in the Firmware tab, browse the .img file and select it. If you click Upgrade, the program will say the device is not connected and it will show you instructions on how to put the tablet in Upgrade Mode, which I'll say now. Make sure the tablet battery is full.
With the tablet shut down, press and keep holding the volume buttons (+ and -, in case it has no volume buttons, any other buttons that are not the power button).
While pressing them, connect the tablet with the USB cable, then press the power button at least 10 times until your computer recognizes a new hardware. You can now release all buttons. Allow installation of this new hardware.
If it went OK, then PhoenixSuit should automatically recognize it and a window will appear asking to format, say Yes to all and wait for flash to finish. It should say Succeed at the end. You can now unplug the tablet, close PhoenixSuit and wait till the tablet starts up on its own (it can take some minutes with a new installation ).

I hate to open this thread back up, but I have acquired a chinese tablet A83t-N106. I got this from a business close out purchase.
I was some type of customer loyalty program. The screen worked but had a limited android OS on it. I used the PhoenixSuite to access the details.
I found this was the OS installed "A83T_N106_N1061L6BC_20160309-ok.img" I found this from a Chinese website. I flashed it without any error. I cannot get the screen to show anything. If i connect to my computer it sees the device and I can move/delete/add files to the files system.

yes.
I tried to flash supersu from twrp and since then I'm stuck in bootloader (couldn't unlock bootloader due to fastboot not seeing the phone). I still can get to recovery, but can't boot up the system.
Alcatel's Mobile Upgrade Q doesn't work for me either (tried on 2 different PC's).
I hope restoring clean non-rooted boot/system will help, if somebody can share the backup files.

Which Mobile Upgrade Q are you using? Try to use 5.0.3 version. Tried both on my 64bit Windows 10 and 7 for my 5051x Optus locked phone. But you need to manually put your phone to download mode (while your phone completely off, press all volume up + volume down + power), then plug in your phone, start the program and follow the prompt.
Had to reflash my phone numerous time, because supersu seems to brick the phone, while kingroot lost its root every reboot.

which driver do you have installed? (what shows up in device manager?) When the phone is in download mode, my PC doesn't detect it. after several seconds the phone exits download mode, and then gets detected, but it doesn't auto-install any driver, so I have to manually choose something.
Still, if someone could send me full backup from TWRP, I could try to restore it on the phone and get it working this way.

Can you upload your twrp backup, or at least your stock recovery pleeease? I really need it since this is my work phone and it should be as stock as it came when they check it.
Hello,
I think i bricked my phone.
I unlocked the bootloader with ADB and then was trying to flash CWM for rooting the device, and after ADB told me that it was flashed succesfully, i rebooted my phone and now is stuck on Archos logo. Bootloop, the phone is detected by my pc, because you can hear the sound when u pin the usb, but i don't have access to it. Windows says there's a problem with this device and can't recognize it.
However, now it's not even bootloop anymore, the phonte screen just turned black, no more bootloop, no more vibration, no more nothing. The only thing is this windows sound when plug in the phone.
Actually, i try to fix it with SP Flashtool, but i'll be thankful if anyone helps.
Have a nice day.

Did you try leaving the phone on until the battery drains out? Worked for me once.

If it doesn't work, try flashing the stock recovery for your phone using adb. I hope you took a backup of it, but if not, begin searching the web for it.
Does your phone has a forum of its own on XDA?
If yes, you may ask there for the stock recovery.

Hey and thank's for your reply,
The battery is already drained out, but nothings changed.
Also, how can i flash a stock recovery if adb and fastboot doesn not even recognize my phone right now? I have a recovery and stock rom, but no utility to flasht them.
SP Flashtool started to do the job, but failed after with some errors messages :/
Also it doesn not have a XDA forum, it's a not-known yet brand.
