Well one of the things I missed the most after getting the HTC One Max was wireless charging. It'd be nice to have a case that made use of the Pogo pins or something else, but this will have to do for now. If someone knows of a better solution, please comment below.
Total cost was $16 for the a TPU case and wireless charging receiver pad with MicroUSB cable.
htc have a case that has a battery in built. it uses the pogo pins. certainly you are aware of this case?
That has a built in battery, not wireless charging or am I looking at the wrong one?

The WCP 700 by LG is one of my favorites since the pad is so big. I did remove the speaker from it cause the fully charged notice is annoying.
I wouldn't get the angled Google Orb all WCP 400. It's harder to find the right spot especially with a larger device.
The Nokia DT-900 can usually be found for a good price online. It isn't bad. Just don't get the vertical stand which is the DT-910.
Oh and the LG WCP-300 is affordable too.
If you want to pick these up locally and you might find the WCP-700 and 300 at Verizon. The Nokia DT-900 is probably at AT&T.

Haven't run it down all the way much, but the charge rate is about half the USB cable. I'll post some charts I've collected in the next few days.

You know anywhere you can currently find one of these?
The link is sold out already and the other KR-Net QI receiver pads posted on amazon/ebay all have the cable coming out the opposite side of the connector (the usb cable would be coming up to the screen instead of behind the phone, once its plugged in).
I would like to combine this with my power flip case. A prong solution wouldn't be good for people already using a case that takes advantage of the prongs.
In general they are universal solutions. Here is a link to one:
http://goo.gl/pqG2du
Type B
I picked this one because the cord is shorter. As an update to the OP, the receiver finally gave out from changing cases quite a few times. The cord was so long that it had to be stuffed under the case.
Let us know how it works out when you get to try it.
Does anyone happen to know the pinout for the pogo pins on this phone? I just got one through work, and need to use usb connection frequently enough that I don't trust the connector on these. However, I have a dual layer Incipio case, and think it would be fairly easy to put the coil on the outside of the rubber portion, but under the plastic outer cover. Then use the pogo pins for the charging connection.

I use a generic Micro USB charger in the car, and it works just fine. If you look at the M-USB connector, it looks like /_____\ - make sure the narrower side is facing up when you plug it in to the interface and you'll be good to go.

I picked this up from Best Buy, it's obviously a generic type thing that lots of companies sell under their own brand name since this wasn't cobra or the other brand referenced in that link. I drove around with it all day and for the most part it did well. You have to be careful not to push hard on the sides, it's too similar a motion to the twist you use to remove it. I might modify the brackets on the bottom so that it sits better on them. I only had it fall off once and it's because I was messing with it and then took a hard turn up a steep ramped curb. It bounced to my passenger seat floor. I was trying to dislodge it though so I don't blame it really. I'll try to do some video of it while driving to help others.
I have the official dock from HTC for the Sprint View. It comes with a AC Charger and a USB cable that are identical to those that ship with the tablet. I am unsure what the button does as I didn't see any documentation with the dock. I had to buy the dock and stylus in order to get 25% off the accessories and then a $50 credit to get the pen for free.
As a previous xperia Z owner, I could not live without the dk26 dock, unflapping the phone every time didn't feel right.
That being said, the dock for the zu is called dk30. I cannot find a way to get one of these in north america at the moment. Lets put our heads together and post whatever we can about this dock and the elusive sbh-52 bluetooth receiver.
I really want that sbh-52 bluetooth receiver as a business person I am going to keep my large phone in my bag most of the time. So I would like to carry that small receiver in my pockets to answer calls with. Let's face it, my head is average sized and putting that phone up to my head does look quite silly!
So do i. Why the Sony won't launch both accessories together with z ultra? Now when I answer the phone so attractive to other people look at me like the Mr bean.

It's DX (formerly known as Deal Extreme), and it's 100% "fake". Still, i have ordered from them a couple of times in the past, and i haven't had any trouble with "their" products. They are shipping out from Hong Kong for free, so expect it to be slow (It takes 10-14 days for me in Europe), but my bet would be 5-7 days for the US (I assume they're going in the other direction )

So the dock itself is just effectively a stand and you have to connect the EC21 into the dock to actually charge the device?
Or do you get a complete charging dock and a separate magnetic charging cable, so that you could leave one at work and the other at home?

NFC Compatible UPDATE at Bottom
This QI receiver pad works much better than the first one I tested. It's ability to work with the LG WCP-700 is a huge perk. The pad looks wider, it fits better, works with more pads, works through most cases with no issues etc.
Out of the two I've used so far, this one is better in every way... So far...

NFC Receiver UPDATE
Well I got really busy after I purchased a third receiver and didn't publish any information until now. Why did I purchase a third receiver? Well it was because of NFC. The second receiver is still the best with charging, but this one is a close second. I could not get NFC to work with the second receiver. This one will work through most cases.
eBay Link: I'm posting search results. Just match up the model with the one in the video. It's easier this way in case some of the auctions end.

awesome video, I was looking at that receiver as well, have had good experience with that brand yipin or yieneng on m s4.
the biggest quest for me is does it bulge? the s4 there was a spot where the chips would fit in the notch for the microsd, but I dont see a notch on the note 3 so I wonder if they designed it to fit in some kind of recessed area?
Thanks in advance.
See the 3 pins where you connect the wireless receiver:
Top one is +5v.
Second one is Ground.
Thrid one is for S-View Cover (+) - (in case you wonder that the heck is that for)
In the event that you have a S-view Cover, you just have to use second as a common ground between the receiver and the S cover.

This receiver is pretty thin in everyway, as with all receiver, you will get the bulge, but you will not really notice it, would you rather have a receiver that has no bulge that does not work well or a receiver that has a slight bulge and does what you expect.
Can you still fit a case on with this installed? I have a hard case sedio with a kick stand and do not want to give it up.

Thanks for your videos. I love wireless charging but on the note 3 it's been a bittersweet scenario...got the oem samsung charging back but there are no cases that fit that (at least that I've found) so I'm stuck choosing between a case and wireless at the moment. Your thread has given me some hope though about the possibility of using the original back with an insert that actually works and still be able to fit a case.
One question - does the phone with insert in & case on "rock" when it's on a flat surface? For example, when you have it flat on a desk/table/etc and you hit the home button on the note - does it "rock" toward you and then back after lifting your finger? This is so annoying to me and I wake the device with the home key a lot at work...it'd probably be a deal-breaker for me, but if you can share your insight I might avoid another bit of money wasted.
Thanks!
Looks like Sony once again bring out a charging dock tailored for the new flag ship named DK36

I wonder if we removed the cable from the DK31 dock it will fit the magnetic ports on the Z2?
This is the first design flaw I've spotted with the Z2. The dock actually blocks a little part of the screen. The dock makes it a very good mini television and this kind of ruins it. Hope this isn't the case and this isn't the final product.

Generic Dock from Amazon
I bought this generic one from Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JE81AJE
Works perfectly and even has a different width receiver for when you fit a case on to the Z2 and it's half the price. Recommended :good:
I've sent mine back to Amazon, the dock charger only works when plugged into the wall socket, it doesn't charge the phone (or provide any connection whatsoever) when plugged into a USB port. Maybe it's obvious for everyone else, but it wasn't for me.
Also, this 30 euro accessory is just a small piece of plastic, you don't even get a USB cable in the package. Sony is charging way too much for this.
I'm now hoping for a third-party dock that will be able to connect and charge via USB.
I can't use either of my cases with the dock. So had to order the official Sony case (through I hate cases like that). Gutted that I can't use a thin gel case on it, in the dock!

Are there any 3rd party cases that fit? I really hate cases like the official Sony one, but have ordered it purely to protect the device, even though I hate the style. Every gel case I have purchased from eBay or Amazon does not fit...

This is exactly the same with the dock from the Xperia Z - completely overpriced and they don't advertise that it must use a high-current charger, 500mA from a USB port won't work.
At least they should include a power adapter + cable. The dock has to contain about $1 worth of materials, if even that.

Thought it would be nice to post here as well. Not sure if you're aware of this: Anyone thinking about cases and the dock, it has a removable part that, when removed, lets you insert the phone with many kinds of cases.

Here you can see the "seamline" which is the removable part. It is also stated in the description. Just to let you know in case you didn't already.
Brilliant invention!!!
When i was searching for a magnetic dock on ebay i bumped into to this magnificent adapter for our xperias!!

That's one hell of a solution for charging with cases on! I'm definitely ordering one!
Anyone tried it?

I can assure you it does not go into the dock if you wanted that. And there are full length cables that do the same thing (at least I think the magnetic charging cables fit with a case), saves the hassle of an adapter. If you can justify getting it, then nice find mate.

I am using cheap QI-pads from eBay. They all work with N6 and a standard feed charger with a capacity of at least 1A at 5 volt.
Because the back of the N6 is not flat you need a rectangular QI-pad.
For pratical use place a marker on the QI-pads to remember the right position.
I've been using this Itian with 3 coils from Amazon for a couple of weeks now. It works great so far.
It's at a nice angle, allowing me to see the screen while it charges & the 3 coils allow me to just drop it on the pad, without having to adjust trying to find the right spot before it starts to charge.
That Itian is what I'm looking for .. I'd like to find a stand up with LED.. But that one is nice..and cheap ? I live in the US so wonder how long it would take to get here ,looks like its in the UK

You can find it on the US Amazon store too.
And it also has a led at the bottom. It's red when the phone isn't on or when it's fully charged and blue when it's still charging.
Nice ! Thanks I'll check that out fosho!
I've been looking for a charger as well, might have to give this one a shot. Its way cheaper than the TYLT chargers
I'm using the Itian as well -- working great so far. It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be, which is good for the big Nexus 6.

I've been using the Itian since January.; I have two of them, in fact.
They have been rock solid and trouble free the whole time.
