I've downloaded several android apps and when extracted the file is an .exe (windows) file instead. This is more common than I like. I download my apps from my usenetserver.
What, if anything, can I do with these .exe files to get them installed on my android device?

These files usually come compressed in zip format, as well.

From Usenetserver. Via NewsLeecher.
Here is one of the links I'm trying to download and install today. It has an exe extension where I expect an apk.

Have Thunderbolt users been able to get RAR files to download properly to where you can unzip them? Does "Download All Files" work with Android for performing the unzip?

I have been using UNRAR Pro because it supports encrypted RAR files.
unrar pro is amazing for this thats for sure
if you want a little project to try, you could compile 7zip for android and run it via the terminal emulator on the phone. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
The guys that make winrar do make a version for arm chips, but after trying it out, I don't think it's compatiable with the cpu we have. Oddly enough, it also doesn't have a .exe extension on it, so I am unsure what it's exactly for really as far as targeted OS. They also stopped making it after version 3.xx, so I assume it might have been for symbian phones.
Thanks all
Yes AndroZip works.

With Dolphin-HD I can download Zip files and others, but not all.
Install an app that opens Zip and Rar files, then you should be able to download them. Like a filebrowser.
i was able with firefox.
with the original internet app i couldn't.

Thanks fyi, gonna try it.
"Download all files" (get it @market) should do the trick, still haven't tried it though!
I'm using Download All Files and it's working flawlessly.
I have searched the Market and Google but cannot find the app I need.
Basically, I am looking for an app where I can put files and folders into a zip or rar file, and password protect them.
Does anyone know of such an app?
Thanks

Haven't used it for a long time but give a try to ES File Explorer.
Rot explorer will let you zip up files but I'm not sure about the password protect part.
Have you tried androzip?
Edit: I just checked and androzip will allow you to put a pw on zip files. Its free in the market as best as I can remember.

Okay, I've got what are probably really stupid questions. I'm trying to install Flash on my new Nexus 10. I'm brand-new to tablets, as you'll probably be able to tell from the following questions:
I downloaded the ZIP file on my computer, transferred it to Dropbox, and then put that archive in my SD.
But I can't figure out how to INSTALL it.
I just can't figure out what to do next. I've installed a thing called APK Installer and it doesn't seem to recognize that there's a program to install even after I've unzipped it IN the folder where the APK installer is.
I see no .exe anywhere in any of the folders in the archive.
Yes, I've turned on the ability to install from Unknown Sources.
What am I missing here?
THANKS for the help!
There is no flash version for devices whit Android +4.0 Your tablet runs 4.3 so no suport.

.info files are designed for computers so I don't think you have one on your mobile.
