[Q] Can't get into Fastboot! - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hello guys,
I know there's probably tons of theards, but I'm sure I read most of them and I'm still with a problem.
I'm trying to unlock my bootloader on my Xperia Go (ST27i) and I can't get into fastboot mode!
I've installed Android SDK, I've install the drivers from Flashtool, I still can't get it working.
What to you guys recommend me? Uninstall everything and install again (Will that even work?)
Thank you,
Kript3r.

No it's not a mus to have flashtool open if you are using fastboot from command line, I just want to see if it's detected in fastboot mode (notification led should turn blue)

First the phone must be turned off and disconnected from the USB cable, then you press volume up and connect the USB cable while you holding it dwn.
Another way is to enabled USB debugging in developer options, connect the phone to the pc, then in flashtool click the flash icon, select fastboot, and in the window the comes up click reboot into fastboot (via adb).
Try both methids.

Any particular reason you need fastboot?
You cannot flash custom kernels and non stock based ROMs but you can still root it.

I asked for the reason, and if its "to unlock my bootloader" you can forget about it alltogether. Unlocked boot loader by itself has no advantage over lokecked bootloader.

How did you try to enter flashmode?
Install all drivers from flashtool>drivers for all modes/devices. Then you take out the battery of your phone and reinsert it. Now press and hold volume down and connect the usb. Don't power the phone on, just press volume down and connect. The green led should light up and you are in flashmode
Then you can flash the stock rom using flashtool :good:

Try on another pc...
Or
Reinstall windows ...connect phone to windows and patiently wait for drivers to be installed using windows update service via internet...
After that put device in flash/green LED mode ,then patiently wait for flash mode drivers to be installed ...
Use flashtool or update service to go back to stock ROM
This is a windows issue so the thumb rule is "reboot windows, try on another windows, reinstall windows.."

You can try going in s/w upgrade mode, there it'll tell u if bootloader's unlocked or not. If unlocked yes u can install a custom rom or else unlock it first.

The device connects in adb as soon as you connect it to the computer. If it's not connecting then you need to go to the device manger and there you'll find "a warning symbol on your device". then you need to right click and update the driver sorftware to the suitable adb driver of your phone.
Once you're successful then your phone will show up as "ADB interface" in the device manager list.
Also make sure to enable USB debugging in Settings->Developer Options. ADB drivers will NOT install without USB Debugging enabled on the device.

[Q] Can't boot on fastboot xperia mini st15i/smultron

Guys, I have a xperia mini st15i device with CrDroid 4.4.4 KitKat Rom. Recently I tried to flash RR Lollipop roms Kernel on my device. But I failed to boot on fastboot mode over and over again. I have tried different cables, different usb even different pc's. But all the time i tried to connect it to usb cable holding volume up button the blue light( which is counted as a signal of fastboot mood) blinks once and phone went into charging mood. If i connect it on flashtool, flashtool recognise my device. If i try to boot device into fastboot via adb through flashtool it just lost connection with phone and phone goes into regular boot.
Guys please help me with this.what can i do now? what i am doing wrong? I am totally stucked with this since last few days.

To go to flashmode on flashtool you need to put the firmware on the correct folder. Where have you placed the ftf file?
Do you have unlocked bootloader?
If not, then fastboot is not for you and have option to use Pc Companion to repair your software if the problem is in there.
Did you install flashmod drivers for your phone?
What happen if you connect your phone switched off with hold down the button volume - and connect in the same time usb cabel to the phone?
Did you see green light?

i didnt put it in a specific folder, at the moment its in the download folder.
but the ftf file is loading perfectly, the problem is when it says to connect the phn and doesnt detect it .

no bootloader is locked.
it had the original stock firmware without any modification(not even rooted) before it went dead.
the same thing happens with pc companion it doesnt detect the phn.
and yes the green light turns on.
Like i say before. Don't wait Pc companion to recognise your phone.
Just turn off the phone, charge it good, after that connect with Companion WITHOUT turn on the phone or what you want and continue with the steps.
Doesnt flash mode work even with a locked bootloader?
Maybe you haven't installed USB drivers. Go to local disk C then flash tool and then open drivers and install the drivers for your device.
And then check flash boot again.

Flashmod is for device with locked bootloader and flash on stock files.
Fastboot is for device with unlocked bootloader and for flash on custom / different from stock files.
Fastboot will not do the work after the author has locked buuloader.
Better use Flashtool with flashmode or Sony Pc Companion or Xperia Comapnion, again with flashmod / green light.

It is normal to not recognize the phone after not loaded operating system.
In the video I will share, will also see that there are unknown devices, but this is the menu models to indicate the program right model and proceed to download and install the software.
Just try it, if i understand you.

It is normal to not recognize the phone after not loaded operating system.
In the video I will share, will also see that there are unknown devices, but this is the menu models to indicate the program right model and proceed to download and install the software.
Just try it, if i understand you.

did u find any solution, i have the same problem.

SGP621 dead after flashing for Oreo upgrade.

Dears, I was (was) getting excited about the Oreo upgrade for our Z3 Tablet and I started the needs by following the related thread but when I flashed the boot.img........ after that, Windows started to recognize it as "Unkno w USB Device (Configuration Description Request Failed).
Now it doesn't boot anymore and it is not recognized by the system. I tried also from another PC with Windows 10 but same result....
How can I fix it?
Are you sure you flashed the right image for your device?

Dear,
thanks for the reply. Yes, I did... the bad is I don't see the magenta/blu icon appears when I do the up+plug. The device is recognized but in that "strange" status.

My guess is that your device either got hard-bricked or that you need to re-install the drivers on your PC (e.g. with Flashtool).

Good morning,
thanks, I tested it also under macOS... it's hard brick. There is any way to bring it at life?
Thanks for your support
Can you boot in fastboot mode? Or is your device not recognized in fastboot mode? If you can you can try flashing stock firmware with Flashtool. If not, I can't help you any further :crying:
