Some Apps not in Play Store in AOSP Kitkat? - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Well, maybe some apps like Facebook, BBM, Flipboard or else 'gone' from Play Store after flashing AOSP KitKat.
It happen to me and I found this thread. It fixed my problem after step number 3, instead of 5 : )
The inverted version looks great with 320 dpi.. :good:

I can't because I don't have that capability yet since I don't have 10 posts.
I will look into it and see what i can do.
But you should try reflashing the ROM, because I have never had any problems with the Play Store on my ROM.

I fixed it. since I use a custom dpi of 190, I hand to temp change dpi back to 240 and reboot, then I uninstalled the play store updates and then I ran the market. I then rebooted so the play store would install and while still using 240 dpi I ran play store and it restored the app compatibility. I then changed back to 190 dpi and everything is ok and apps such as go launcher are downloadable again.

Guys 5.4.10 is available, I got it off the mega link on the following site

OP updated
Play Store 5.4 Makes Notification Bar Transparent On App Pages.
The Play Store is where you go to watch your other apps get updated, but occasionally it's nice to sit back and watch as the store gets its own renovation. Sometimes the changes are stark. Otherwise, there's just a few new lights here or there.
What's New?
In version 5.4, it's not about what's been added, but what's been taken away. The notification bar has lost its color. Now Play Store pages appear with banner images that reach towards the top of the screen. BTW: If someone is experiencing fc with 5.4.10, try to delete cache and data from settings.

Google Play DPI Fix Tool for Lollipop?

Is there a similar tool like this for Android Lollipop released yet?
Google Play DPI Fix Tool\
Tried this but doesnt work as its not updated to work on lollipop..
I can manually edit the xml file like usual, but then certain apps from play store stop showing up...
Thanks
I'm looking for something like this too!
Any news? I know blisspop has reported density and it works? Possible make EG xposed module?

P7510 with Lollipop, having trouble finding a stable version of Google Play Services

So I'm using this ROM and everything works fairly well.
The issue is that apps like Gmail, Hangouts, Keep (all of which I got from the play store), etc say that I need to upgrade my Google Play Services for them to work. My GPS version is 7.8.87 and if I update it through the play store, it starts crashing repeatedly. I've tried a few different ones on APK mirror (granted I'm not exactly sure what version is the "correct" one) and none have worked.
Do I need to just figure out what version works for this ROM, or try a different GApps package? I'm a bit of a newb so sorry if I'm way off base.
I found it worthwhile to upgrade to 7.1 Nougat. Lollipop for me had got too sluggish even before the Google Play services problem. Gmail doesn't prompt me to update GPservices, but I don't know about Hangouts or Keep.

Google Play store looks different from phone

Heya! I noticed my google play store looks a bit different on my Tab S3 then on my Nexus 6p.
They both have the same version of the play store, Play Store version: 8.9.24-all
These are screenshots from both:
Nexus 6P: https://i.imgur.com/ComZ6ln.jpg
Tab S3: https://i.imgur.com/kS4Y3oa.png
Notice how the S3 doesn't have the downloads/ratings (though seems to have the section for it) and the top section looks different and is missing the wishlist button? (though wishlist is in the 3 dot menu in the upper right when clicked).
Everything else outside of an apps individual info page looks Exactly the same.
And it also only seems to be different for apps and games. Movies, music and books all look like the Nexus picture.
I'm enrolled in the Google Play Services Beta, which I would immediately attribute to this if the phone which is also enrolled had the same change. Do they do partial test rollouts to random users/devices like they do with chrome dev?
Anyone else able to corroborate this?
Well, I don't know. But my guess would be the app detects what hardware it is running on and adjusts the UI. Why the Play store would need to do this is beyond my comprehension. It certainly would make sense for games. Maybe the developers working on the Play store are trying things out to see how they work out?
