Error flashing any ROM

Hi guys,
I just rooted my SG2 and I'm getting this error:
E:Error in /sdcard/Hyperdroid_Androidmeda_v4.0.0_signed.zip
(Status 1)
Installation aborted.
I've tried flashing other ROMs other than Hyperdroid and I still get the same error.
Anyone have the same problem and a possible solution?
Which kernel did you flash?

you have two options...one is redownload the zip file from a different site or open up the one you have and manually delete that zip file from there and it should bypass and continue on... what it ma do to the rom is on you ... if you extract the package.zip and then open it youll see what files the zip contains...if it contains no files it is likely corrupt and need to download a new rom...what site did you download the ROM from and are you a cdma or gsm model phone?
see im having the same problem i tried the [Cool Sense] Rom and the ZR3D-XL SENSE Rom and TeamGenesisRom3d and it all gave me the Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (status 0) so i had to install my old rom back MikVirgin Rom. Can it be because im still using twrp recovery and not 4EXT Recovery Control

I've noticed all the people who get that error are using twrp. So I recommend using 4ext.

symlink: some symlinks failed error

Hello,
I have the Problem that i can't install any custom rom on my GTab 10.1 P7500.
I'm on stock rom 4.0.4 right now and i tried everything. I want to flash the CM10-nightlies. I tried it with TWRP and CWM.
The error first was "assert failed getprop". I have deleted the first line in updater-script and the error was gone but after that I got the "symlink: some symlinks failed error (status 7) error"
I know that there are some other threads about this issue but with no solution.
Does anyone know what to do here?
Thanks

There are two reasons you'll get the "assert failed". Either the ROM you're trying to install is not meant for your tab (it's for a tab 2 or something else) or you're running an old version of Clockwork Mod recovery. At some point, the GT-P7510 getprop string changed to "p4wifi" but older CWM wasn't giving that as the device name.
First, I'd make VERY sure that the ROM you're trying to install is compatible with your device. Editing the script as you did can brick your device. If you're sure it's OK, update CWM.

Hello,
thanks for the reply.
The ROM I want to install is "cm-10-20121119-NIGHTLY-p4" and it is the right one because the p4 version is for the p7500 GTab 3G.
I have cwm v5.8.3.1. I've downloaded it again and stil getting getprop errors...:crying:
Every custom ROM I try to install I get the same error message...
Does anyone has same issues?

Actually the problem is not been solved, also with CWM I have now problem flashing several roms, the only one who works is Cyanogenmod 11, I'm trying to flashing Rootbox 4.2 and I get this error:
assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") =="galaxys2" || assert failed: getprop ("ro.build.device") =="galaxys2" || assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") =="i9100" || assert failed: getprop ("ro.build.device") =="i9100" || assert failed: getprop ("ro.product.device") =="GT-i9100" || assert failed: getprop ("ro.build.device") =="GT-i9100" etc....
Is still a recovery problem?

I dont think so. seems updater-script or build.prop problem.
assert command checks to make sure you are flashing ROM on correct device.
why dont you flash stock rom. It will reset your recovery to stock one then you can flash custom recovery as you did before

[Q] Help with (status 7)

Hey guys.
So, I need some help here... I am trying to flash the PPX Stock V3 rom for Galaxy S3 but I always get the (status 7) error. I tried with another roms and it is the same problem. But I got to flash the ones with aroma installer and it works fine, but I want exactly this PPX Stock rom... I was using the Clockwordmod Touch Recovery and it wasn't working (getting this error) and I've changed to PhilZ Touch and it the problem continues...
Do you have some ideas on what to do?
So, thanks to all.
[EDIT]~
By the way, the problem starts in this line while flashing the .zip
Pure Performance X Firmware
Installing System...
Simlinking...
set_perm: some changes failed
E: Error in /storage/sdcard1/[ROM~[XXUGNA7][4.3.1] PPX Stock V3.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Make sure u are using the latest version of cmw... Most of the status 7 fails have to do with this.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I am using the most updated... and tried with other recoveries but no sign of progress. And I have read some threads with some possible solutions but still stuck... :/
