Hello guys, i have trouble with my Desire... Can't install any JB ROM to my device except ROMs, that installing through some installers (aroma).
Each time i try to flash ROM, i have next error:
symlink: some symlinks failed
E:Error in /sdcard/***.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Can somebody help me? Thank you

So, I need some help here... I am trying to flash the PPX Stock V3 rom for Galaxy S3 but I always get the (status 7) error. I tried with another roms and it is the same problem. But I got to flash the ones with aroma installer and it works fine, but I want exactly this PPX Stock rom... I was using the Clockwordmod Touch Recovery and it wasn't working (getting this error) and I've changed to PhilZ Touch and it the problem continues...
Do you have some ideas on what to do?

By the way, the problem starts in this line while flashing the .zip

Make sure u are using the latest version of cmw... Most of the status 7 fails have to do with this.

I am using the most updated... and tried with other recoveries but no sign of progress. And I have read some threads with some possible solutions but still stuck... :/

Try reading the FAQ for philz recovery

I tried install Viberui 1.5 with CWM, but the installation fails, I get this message when installing
Warning: "No file_contextssymlink: some symlinks failed
E: Error in sdcard/P780_........zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
I am running AOSP 4.2.2 ROW
anyone have any idea why?

Try to flash with TWRP. Instal TWRP and flash with it.

I have been trying for the last 2 days to install the PurePerformance Mod without success.

I have a Asus Zenfone 5 T00J WW with the Philz 6.55 touch recovery CWM.
The first problem when flashing was a status 255 error which I think I solved by changing the recovery-update file by the one in my ROM.
Then I got the following issue:
set_perm: some changes failed E: Error in /sdcard/PurePerformances.zip (Status 7)
I have also found this, but I dont really understand and I'm not sure if it works.
