I tried install Viberui 1.5 with CWM, but the installation fails, I get this message when installing
Warning: "No file_contextssymlink: some symlinks failed
E: Error in sdcard/P780_........zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted
I am running AOSP 4.2.2 ROW
anyone have any idea why?

Try to flash with TWRP. Instal TWRP and flash with it.

Hi guys,
I just rooted my SG2 and I'm getting this error:
E:Error in /sdcard/Hyperdroid_Androidmeda_v4.0.0_signed.zip
(Status 1)
Installation aborted.
I've tried flashing other ROMs other than Hyperdroid and I still get the same error.
Anyone have the same problem and a possible solution?

So, I need some help here... I am trying to flash the PPX Stock V3 rom for Galaxy S3 but I always get the (status 7) error. I tried with another roms and it is the same problem. But I got to flash the ones with aroma installer and it works fine, but I want exactly this PPX Stock rom... I was using the Clockwordmod Touch Recovery and it wasn't working (getting this error) and I've changed to PhilZ Touch and it the problem continues...
Do you have some ideas on what to do?

By the way, the problem starts in this line while flashing the .zip

Make sure u are using the latest version of cmw... Most of the status 7 fails have to do with this.

I am using the most updated... and tried with other recoveries but no sign of progress. And I have read some threads with some possible solutions but still stuck... :/

First of all, I hope that this thread is in the right section. Here's the issue. I'm new to ROM flashing even though i have been an android user for about 2 years now. Used ClockworkMod for my custom backup. Downloaded Randomblame's taKTiK custom ROM but upon installation i get an error message: E: Error in/external_sd/tt-4.4-20140224-Release12-m470.zip.
The ROM flash begins as follows:
Finding update package
Opening update package
Installing update
set_metadata_recursive:some changes failed
E: Error in/external_sd/tt-4.4-20140224-Release 12-m470.zip
(Status 7)
What am i doing wrong?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

i think its not compatible with your phone
It's a tablet. The ROM is supposedly built for it. I get a Status 7 error which means that the installed version of CWM is not up to date. Can't find any info on how to update it though.
